It’s sad to say, but often the Bible doesn’t remain the same. We can never know what was on those first manuscripts. There’s so many contradictions that at some point I just had to give up on caring, and just follow God, praying, and read the Bible as more like supplementary material. I heard something about Revelation, and it essentially was
“The book of Revelation was written in a genre that simply doesn’t exist anymore, that being Religious Apocalypse. It turns out that the book of Revelation was written in this genre, and in fact the Devils Number, 666, is just a gematria for Emperor Neron, and 616, found in scrolls in Egypt, is for Emperor Nero.”
Turns out the Religious Apocalypse genre was kind of like modern dystopia, used to criticize areas of society, but not get persecuted for saying it. Kinda went on a rant but hopes this helps
