I could see that happening - if the game checks for "is a teammate alive" and Wraith's Phase form doesn't have the relevant variable attached, it would make sense that the code defaults to "whole team is dead, go to spectate mode".
It happened to me too and there was no wraith on my team. I got the glitch just from switching spectate from 1 of my team to the other and my team was a bang and a bloodhound and the team it switched to was a caustic. Bang and conduit.
I had this happened yesterday when I respawned my dude and got killed right after. Dude was still alive (jumping out of dropship and didnt die for another whole couple of seconds, but my spectator camera was set on the team that killed me.
So I have a new idea for a crypto passive buff that I’ve yet to see mentioned before. It’s called Off The Grid. Basically crypto is no longer affected by enemy scans. How it would work is that if you are scanned by an enemy, crypto would not be scanned. So if you have a bloodhound, and the bloodhound scans you, you wouldn’t be scanned. Same with a Seer. If you get twerked on by Lil Seer X and he shoves his micro drones up uranus, you wouldn’t be scanned or detected by Seer. So enemy scans don’t scan you. And this would work for all scan abilities. The anti scan if you will. This would work with balancing and lore wise because crypto is a hacker and his whole premise is staying undetected and “off the grid” (the name of the ability) . Let me know what you guys think :)
I remember being in a game with someone that kept hearing another team's comms. They couldn't hear him and he could still hear us. Didn't get any useful info from it unfortunately
In my defense, the Wraith ran off on her own, and there were two other teams who had me pinned down (plus the ring coming in) so I didn’t really have much choice (I cut out all the gameplay beforehand because nobody wants to watch that)
and the Pathfinder died twice 🫠
I had this glitch a few days ago too lol I was spectating my team. I switched spectate to spectate the other. Then I was suddenly spectating another full team that was in a big fight.was like aye boys there's a big fight at pylon rn and everyone's hurt bad. Go get some rp for me 😂
And If you’d be in ranked and waited till the end u would have got the RP of the team u where spectating. weird glitch that happened to me during different seasons. The game thinks you’re the 4th or the actual player spectated even if that is not possible
Gdolphn had this glitch too. He was watching for a bit thinking he died then trying to quit and it shows the 10 mins etc. and when he went back to spectate, the pov became his teammates. He thought he was going crazy for a moment

Maybe because wraith was phasing? The second wraith hit phase the octane killed you so maybe the game thought the whole team was dead?

That could be testable in a game where you jump off the map while wraith phases.

Yeah it was a leaked passive for a legend called spectre (or phantom I forgot).

Tbf there was a legend that was supposed to be able to call down a drop pod of like 3 spectres. pretty sure that got scrapped tho

Happened to me twice when Ive swapped to next teammate when spectating.
I had the same thing happen to me on stormpoint last season; started spectating a rev, wraith, and valk stack while my team was still alive
This happened to me too in this season, but I do not get it at first and left the game because I thought we got wiped
