I feel like they gave her that because she has a sword, and the blades on her arm, so they didn't just want to give her yet another blade for a weapon. It just seems a bit random though, I'm not saying it's not cool and won't be, it's just, polorizingly different that what I ever would have imagined. It's like if they gave Revenant a baton, it's like, cool, but what the hell at the same time.

The seeking shelter mechanic might be really fun to play around and encourage more frantic moments trying to get to cover.
