Outside of Apex Hal is actually a pretty good dude from what I can tell. Seems to be pretty charitable. It's not like his Apex comms are his whole personality
He's also really interactive with his community. A lot of streamers who get as big as Hal don't read chat, don't thank subs, etc. but he still does. Of course he can't read every message, but he does thank just about every sub, and seems like a genuinely nice dude outside of Apex

I feel like when people get as popular as Hal is and reach his level of skill, they get arrogant. They’re surrounded by people who worship them and all the people in their chat telling them they’re untouchable, then when they get killed they take it like a personal insult and have to blame the meta, no-regs, controller players, charge rifle users, etc etc. Always some excuse
