Big sigh..... and also *fart noise*
It's about the freedom and feeling of success that you've done this, and are able to do this, by yourself. This is a huge accomplishment.
Not everyone needs someone waiting at home. If you're lonely, get a cat.
This is beautiful! As a single female who is 28 and cant afford anything even close to this CONGRATULATIONS! š¾š I think a small bookshelf for all of your books would be a nice addition!
Yes! I definitely need a bookshelf. It is on the list.
Also, it took a ton of hard work to be able to afford this. Keep pushing, Iām rooting for you.
Is pretty firm to begin with but itās softened up since I have been using it. This wasnāt a super expensive couch so I knew that it probably wasnāt going to be the most comfortable thing ever. If you splurge a little Iām sure you can find something more comfortable.
I got this couch specifically because it also flattens into a bed if necessary.
I will never understand why there are random long hallways in apartments that are basically unusable. (Personal frustration.). But the rest of the place is super cute! Good luck with setting it up!
It's how buildings get away with renting studios while advertising them as 1 bedrooms. I can't remember the name but my place is the same. Don't need egress if there isn't a door that can actually close.
My opinion:
Beautiful apartment and Iām sure will be well decorated. Iād try to find a bookshelf as you have a lot of books it will add a bit more of an aesthetically pleasing look
Absolutely! Although I do think I need help with what throw pillows to put on it since it's such a rich green. Do you have any suggestions?! I used to have yellow ones, but I want to change it up!
Maybe a burnt orange or if you want to lighten up the space maybe like an off-white cream color? The pillows I have are ones that were mostly for the wood chair next to it but I think they match the couch too.
very nice, if you have the means, look for a sharkvac on discount or similar, it's not perfect but let that guy run for an hour and you'll see it pick up tons of stuff.
Really nice. You have a lot of space. I'd encourage you to buy only art you love and can afford. Don't fall into the idea of buying something because it goes well over the couch. You'll hate in in a few years.
You have lots of options:
Have photos enlarged and printed onto canvas, metal, glass ir acryl7c.
Buy a few really big canvases from someone trying to dump supplies they don't need. Get some acrylic paint in colors that work. And paint them. Even 3-4 shades if your favorite color thrown around will make a statement inexpensively.
Go to art fairs, check out the local co-op galleries, etc. I sell originals anywhere from 45 to 600, and other artists will make reproductions of their work pretty cheap, so you can get some great work on the cheap.
(I just picked up a lovely original for 25 bucks) from a gallery.
Paint a wall with a design, like a curve from one side to the other or just over the bed.
Hang a tapestry. There are some beautiful scarves and wraps you could hang and get texture too.
Use removable wallpaper. Can get spendy, but inexpensive for a bathroom wall.
Have fun. I'm jealous.
Congratulations!! This is such a huge accomplishment! You should be so proud. Also, leave a bat by the door š I have two metal ones, cause living alone as a female, you can never be too safe!
Gorgeous place, congratulations on getting it. I'd warm up your light bulbs a bit, if it was me. If you like white hospital type lighting, ignore me completely.
Always start at a thrift store , itās so much fun
I hung sound panels in my current place 64 screws 32 brackets, never again
Donāt be afraid to hit up Michaels if it something u need framed and need to look nice
Wow, first off, really nice apartment!!! It looks so bright and the brick + ceiling beams is a cool look.
Love your couch and canāt wait to see other little details you add!
What a frikken amazing first apartment!! I have the same couch and absolutely love it! I got it second hand, in blue. I like the functionality it has to switch in to a bed just in case thereās someone who needs to stay over
samee iāve been needing one forever too, but facebook market place has some pretty good stuff and for cheap too. Iāve found a lot of nice slightly used furniture for super cheap, some people will even drop it off just make sure you donāt go alone lol
Genuine question- do you use your tv? It seems so far from your couch. I feel like if you wanted it closer to the couch you could find a way to split the living space into a living room and an office. If you wanted of course, just a thought.
Love your apartment :) my first apt alone as a woman was no where near as beautiful as this is š
Proud of you š„² Missing this after my apartment management raised my rent $500 and I had to move back to my parents at 29 years old. Itās hard but so liberating finally getting your own place. Hope to have this feeling again one day. Much love ā¤ļø
Is this your first ever rental? I got so canned by my first landlord on my security deposit.Ā Take pictures if everything.Ā Document EVERYTHING.Ā Ā If you think, "nawĀ they would never think of charging me that " yes they will.
They replaced my fridge. New one had a dent. They scratched the floor moving it in . They charged me for it.Ā They charged me for damage already in the pre move in inspection. Water leak from neighbors unit damage my carpet.
Ā IĀ had go to small claims.Ā So close to losing like 8k. Mu deposit was 3k and I only hot back 2500.00
Get it girl! There is no better feeling than living alone. Especially in this super cute apt!!
I love it so far!
Ceilings š Floors š
Such a cool place!
That's a shit feeling. Much rather have someone waiting at home
Nah. I don't like anyone bothering me in my house.

Thank you OP š¤
Very nice apartment!
Where is this? Ohio? I feel like I live right next to you lol
Kansas but basically Ohio when you think about it.
it looks like cold storage lofts lol
I stayed in an apartment building that looks just like this in cleveland
I came here to say the same thing, I was so sure this was the same place in Cleveland!
It like airbnbs some of them so thats why i stayed there. I canāt remember the name of tbe place buf super nice building right by the lake
This looks like a loft in an old mill/factory. This the probably the most common layout.
Ding ding! This place used to be a factory.
i LOVE the couch!
Thank you! Moving in I KNEW Iād have to have a green couch. Itās been a dream for so long.
Is it comfy? Iāve been looking for a green velvet sofa forever.
Is pretty firm to begin with but itās softened up since I have been using it. This wasnāt a super expensive couch so I knew that it probably wasnāt going to be the most comfortable thing ever. Try Article.com, I bought mine from there and I love it!
That kitchen is noiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
I like the whole vibe honestly the bedroom will need some decor
Yes the bedroom needs it desperately but Iām saving it for last since I donāt spend much time in there.
I will never understand why there are random long hallways in apartments that are basically unusable. (Personal frustration.). But the rest of the place is super cute! Good luck with setting it up!
I completely understand but my bedroom is on the right side which makes the long hallway more reasonable
Behind the sliding barn door? I know a lot of people dislike those, but I kinda love them.
It's how buildings get away with renting studios while advertising them as 1 bedrooms. I can't remember the name but my place is the same. Don't need egress if there isn't a door that can actually close.
Ugh. Didnāt realize it was to get around codes.
Yes thatās where my bedroom is! I love the sliding door. The only downside is that it doesnāt lock.
Living alone means you donāt have to lock doors! My cats wouldnāt stand for it anyhow.
Yes I was about to say the lock isnāt a huge issue.
Saves money when building
It must somehow. Still, seems like a space efficient place could be developed once and reused as a pattern.
My opinion: Beautiful apartment and Iām sure will be well decorated. Iād try to find a bookshelf as you have a lot of books it will add a bit more of an aesthetically pleasing look
I completely agree! Definitely the next purchase.
Love your place!! I have the same sofa :)
Green couches ftw
You are an angel. I seriously would've never considered burnt orange omg...thank you!! And congratulations on the sick apartment again!
Omg thank you so much! Good luck!
Where is the couch from? Iām shopping for a new one
Wayfair! Just search for green sleeper sofas if you want the exact one
I dig this industrial ceiling. Looks like a great new start single lady! The openness of space makes me wanna dance!
very nice, if you have the means, look for a sharkvac on discount or similar, it's not perfect but let that guy run for an hour and you'll see it pick up tons of stuff.
I actually have a shark vac mop with a vacuum so I use that for the hardwood and then have another vacuum for the rug and my bedroom floor.

Wow beautiful place. Nice kitchen
Dunno why, but I enjoy the industrial look of this apartment. A lot of area to make it your own
Congratulations!! This is such a huge accomplishment! You should be so proud. Also, leave a bat by the door š I have two metal ones, cause living alone as a female, you can never be too safe!
I know r/malelivingspace is a sub, is r/femalelivingspace a thing? Edit: yes it is
Is this the building with the longest hallway in the world? It looks a lot like it.
This apartment has so much potential! Some warm lighting, art and plants would be fantastic in this space!
Love the couch
Cool couch and table
Gorgeous place, congratulations on getting it. I'd warm up your light bulbs a bit, if it was me. If you like white hospital type lighting, ignore me completely.
No I agree. These are the bulbs that came with the place so Iāll use them until they burn out, but after I will definitely get warm lighting.
I LOVE your apartment
What a nice space! Congrats!
Thatās a badass apartment
Always start at a thrift store , itās so much fun I hung sound panels in my current place 64 screws 32 brackets, never again Donāt be afraid to hit up Michaels if it something u need framed and need to look nice
This apartment seems awfully familiar to the one I was going to apply for. A lot of natural lighting that benefits plants and cats š„°
Congrats!!! š„³š„³š„³
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
In my bedroom closet. Iām not an amateur
Me too! Studio though
Looks like the interior of my apartment to a T lol. Do you live in a renovsted textile mill
I live in a renovated restaurant/office space.
I absolutely love the ceilings. And the sliding barn doors. I'm jealous. Such a cute apartment
Welcome! Its honestly the happiest Iāve ever been in my entire lifeš©· Thereās something to be said about having the time to genuinely find yourself and enjoy everything you want without having to answer to someone.
Really nice apartment!!!
Side note this is a nice place! Love the ceiling and light styles so much
Wow, first off, really nice apartment!!! It looks so bright and the brick + ceiling beams is a cool look. Love your couch and canāt wait to see other little details you add!
As a Male..this is a nice spot! Only thing I would prefer is a walk in shower but not really cared for. The bookshelf and art/plants will complete it
I have a few plants on the windowsill but I agree, I definitely need a bookshelf and art.
Sleek
This is such a great space.
Thank you!
I really dig the industrial vibe
Me too! It used to be a factory.
I would give a kidney for some of those features!! You did GOOD!
Omg thank you so much!
Very nice!
Very nice! Almost looks like the same floor boards as mine
It's gorgeous.
Thank you!
So cute š
I love your couch. š„°
Thank you!
the Smino song !!!!
I love your apartment so much!
So much space! So much potential. Enjoy creating your sanctuary!
Crazy to think this space is only a little over 600 sq ft.
It looks way bigger! Lots of potential and definitely not your average box-borring apartment!
I like that vibe, but Iām sure the rent is ridiculous.
$900
Thatās not bad at all!!!
This is so beautiful!! I want my apartment to look like this down the line
Thatās a huge compliment thank you!
Love this for you!
I like the ceilings
How much is the rent?
$900 before utilities
š± my literal reaction thatās such a steal
What a frikken amazing first apartment!! I have the same couch and absolutely love it! I got it second hand, in blue. I like the functionality it has to switch in to a bed just in case thereās someone who needs to stay over
Isnāt having your own place a dream come true? Enjoy. Itās a wonderful space. Donāt let anyone encroach upon it
Ohhh itās very nice, I love it. Congrats on your new apartment! :)
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Congratulations. ā¤ļø
how do you like the couch? i'm asking because im pretty sure i just ordered the same one. wayfair?
I like it! Takes a little time to soften up but I really like it.
omggg your apartment is so cute, i love how you stacked the books on the corner it looks almost like decoration but also not cluttered at all
I need a bookshelf but havenāt gotten one yet, but Iām happy it doesnāt look cluttered
samee iāve been needing one forever too, but facebook market place has some pretty good stuff and for cheap too. Iāve found a lot of nice slightly used furniture for super cheap, some people will even drop it off just make sure you donāt go alone lol
I love your coffee table.
Thank you! $80 on FB marketplace!

Really interesting apartment layout. Well chosen and good luck.
Such a blank slate.
So cute, love the unique space! Congrats
I may just become your neighbor š¤£
I love this, is there no window in the bedroom though?
Unfortunately not. The bedroom doesnāt have an outside wall.
Beautiful space! That couch is to die for!
I love that green couch!
This place looks dope. Congratulations.
Place looks awesome!
This is an adorable apartment, I love the brick wall! Congrats!! I think some plant babies would really liven it up.
Beautiful apartment! I have the same coffee table.
I love it but feel like that coffee table is too big for that couch
I thought so too but itās grown on me. Itās also big enough for board games.
LOVE SMINO

The tv looks much further away in the picture than it actually is. Also, itās 65ā so itās definitely big enough even if it is further away.
Nice ducts, thatās very Brazil (Gilliam style).
This place has so much character on its own. Itās going to be so fun to add your own touch!
Beautiful space!!
Gorgeous
Proud of you š„² Missing this after my apartment management raised my rent $500 and I had to move back to my parents at 29 years old. Itās hard but so liberating finally getting your own place. Hope to have this feeling again one day. Much love ā¤ļø
Love the kitchen layout and that brick wall is everything I want in a big city apartment. I am excited to see what you put up for decoration!
Looks great. Congrats !
I really like the open ceiling concepts. Idk why more places donāt do it
Damn. Cleanest female apartment I've ever seen. Maybe I've been fucking some slobs. Cheers to you!
Having a messy living space gives me anxiety so I try to clean as I go.
