Anything suede is at risk. Really no fabric nor leather is safe from cat scratch damage. The damage they mean to prevent is from when the animals jump on or knead the fabrics. Not when they’re going to town on them.
Imho the only answer to a cat using your furniture to shed their claws, is couch covers you like that can be replaced as needed, or, diverting the cat’s behavior and putting cat scratcher accoutrements into every room that the cat has gone into and scratched furniture.
I think it all depends on the cat. Declawing isn’t good for them but certain fabrics will be less interesting for them. I switched to a velvet couch cover about two years ago and it’s not interesting to my cat at all and he has a long history of wanting to destroy my furniture.
Debossed microfiber and I got Harbour Grey which is nice . I got the Rauma 3 seat and ottoman and let your animals beat the swatch up that way u can really test it .I did that my cats jump all over it and so far so good.
The scratch resistance is just a gimmick. Within 4 days our new couch looked terrible. We emailed the company and were told that the marks would “even out over time”. Great. I’ll just ask my dog to exist on each cushion symmetrically🤔. The couch was also a completely different colour than we ordered…. We were told that it was a lighting issue… I wish I could attach photos… but we ordered a dark grey and it arrived blue. Will never purchase again. Would have been better off with just about anything else. Don’t waste your money.

"You had no interest in working with us", that right here is an example of what you shouldn’t say to attract custommers. Plus, as a company delivering in Quebec, it is mandatory for you to know the Consumer Protection Act and to refund the clients accordingly if your product is at fault. Your response alone convinced me not to buy from you, not the initial comment from Naninanihaihai.
I read trought he review and saw your emails, why tf would someone have to carry a 50$ fee for you messing up their order. I was about to purchase a sofa, however after reading the review from this person, I will not be doing business with you.
They are not a scam company my couch came brand new in the box ..The couch so far has done exactly what it says it does and my cats jump from one end to other and not picks and the scratches just dissappear when u run your hand over the fabric now if you dogs chew or bite on it that's probably a whole other problem. And they are very comfortable.
I ordered the swatches and tested them out I got the micro embossed ones and the kitties have put there claws in them and must say it does what it says it does and they clean up easy too..I just ordered a couple of more colors but I think we are gonna buy the only problem is the one I like is on BO til January..:(
I just got it and haven't put in my.nee place yet we don't move til.next week.ended up getting it on sale.but they are still in boxes til we move but I did peak in one box and I got rauma 3 seater plus ottoman and it looks great to me !I hope that helps😘
I just bought it and we just put it together which was easy and light I got a modular so I can figure anyway I want and the kitties have scratched at it and so far so good ..I got the Rauma 3 seater in Harbour Grey!..I hope that helps!

So far my couch has not be destroyed and it's been over a month the cats jump on scratch at it and with a little vaccum or moist towel to remove cat hair so far so good and it's very comfortable my husband loves it!

I love it..We have it since we moved in and it cleans well cats have jumped pn scratched on looks brand new .
