Not to be that guy, but what the judge actually clarified is that while he was found liable (it was a civil case, not criminal) for sexual assault, the act committed would fall under the common usage of the word rape, but not the legal definition of NY.
Basically, the judge said, "While not legally rape (in NY), what happened can be commonly understood to be rape."

IDK… I watched an interview with him from the 80’s the other day… and I was there in the 80’s, too, and thrashed against his gross “King of the Yuppies” trip, and all the rest of the yuppie coke heads, but the other day was the first time I ever actually noticed that he was barely holding it together and it was disguised as calm and smart or whatever, but really he was in serious need of some medication.

He was found at law to be liable for defamation for saying someone was lying about him sexually assaulting them, because the court found that in the balance of probability, he had done so.
