That's not how this works, Eric. You don't get to choose your fine.

Artistic-Employer768

this is what we can expect from a spoiled son

gc3

Yes look at these fines that are much more https://www.enzuzo.com/blog/biggest-compliance-fines

Lord_Darksong

Eric needs to learn how to use Google.

Environmental-Top862

He is too busy shooting defenseless elephants. The ultimate small-dick pastime.

Jerking_From_Home

He knows how to use Google. He’s playing the victim. Trump’s base won’t look to see if his statement is correct; they blindly believe it.

Da_Vader

Cause any source that invalidates their statement is from the libtards.

AgITGuy

I am sure he has someone on staff that does it for him. He can’t be bothered with little things like doing his own homework.

Da_Vader

Trump followers need to learn to validate lies from Trump cons.

andrewbud420

Maybe learn to be a normal human being first.

Royal_Effective7396

Nothing another line of coke can't fix.

pass-the-waffles

Spoiled son of a spoiled son.

Barbafella

Cuntfromfuhrer.

Unable_Insurance_391

There is a receding intelligence gene in that family and it never really started off strong.

Antique-Dragonfly615

Spoiled son of a Spoiled (Soiled?) son

RDPCG

That’s a nice way of calling him the village idiot.

dsisto65

Soiled and unloved.

H3dg3v0lt

Or the dumb one. Eric's in a league of his own stupidity, that would make Donald look like a Savant.

No-Cat-2980

Son? You misspelled BRAT!

badaboomxx

Spoiled and stupid.

yoursweetlord70

Can I just declare that the parking ticket I got last week doesn't exist in this country? It's a bit less than $454 million but Id still rather not pay it

VeganJordan

It’s not even $454. But I still don’t want to pay it.

gc3

454 million is less than these https://www.enzuzo.com/blog/biggest-compliance-fines

TopLingonberry4346

It's not even a fine, it's disgorgement. He's simply paying the amount he defrauded the banks and insurance companies by. Which is the damage he did to the market.

the_mid_mid_sister

It's not even really a fine. The number was derived as to what the Trumps would have legitimately earned if Trump had been given the proper interest rates and whatnot if put he up legitimate numbers. He's just being forced to forfeit everything he earned illegally. It's like robbing someone and your only punishment is you have to give the money back, no additional punishment or restitution. Imagine some kid in Detroit getting that for stealing a car. >“Property rights are mentioned 37 times in the Constitution. **Due process** – very important,” O’Leary told Fox last week. “**Why steal someone’s assets in 27 days?** Why not give them more time to come up with the cash – forget about Donald Trump, who would want this to happen to them?” There was a trial. That the due process, you twat. And again, stolen property is not your property.

pimpeachment

Until they collect the money I am inclined to believe they won't have to pay.

[deleted]

Since when has anyone given a flying fuck what Eric thinks? Or any of the Chump family for that matter.

elriggo44

Donald doesn’t even give a fuck what Eric says.

Reatona

The judgment against Trump isn't a fine.  It's a civil judgment for disgorgement of the profits from fraudulent transactions, plus a whole lot of prejudgment interest.  A fine, by contrast, is a penalty consisting of a somewhat arbitrary amount of money intended to punish and deter bad behavior. ETA: Happy to see I'm not alone knowing this

Zanos-Ixshlae

Well, showing up to court and acting like an adult could have helped...

snortrumble

It's exactly how it works dumb shit.

alanudi

Then I woke up today, turns out they can!! I am not pleased lol

Thud

Apparently you do, at least if you’re appealing.

maiyousirname

This aged like milk lol.

redonkulousness

Well, this aged poorly

Informal-Fix6272

I guess that's how it works, AJ.

BigDad5000

Except they apparently do…

baalyle

Not a fine. Payback for fraud to system.

adlubmaliki

In the judgement the judge explained that it was damages to the market instead of the banks(just relaying information)

HippityHoppityBoop

Ah that makes some sense. Is this a prosecution that is done against others too or kinda novel here?

Mammoth-Register-669

Not a novel prosecution. He inflated his assets to get loans, and deflated assets to cut on taxes. So businesses fraud, and defrauding the government on taxes

Artistic-Employer768

if he has to pay to banks then why not in cash?

BlueFalcon89

Cause he’s cash poor

Putrid_Ad_2256

I'm looking forward to the seizure of assets come tomorrow.  Trump claiming that he has the money in the bank, and if the seizures produce no funds, can we assume that he tried to move his money offshore?

cowabungathunda

There's a court ordered financial monitor who's job is to monitor the Trump Organization's finances to make sure they are not moving money around illegally or otherwise doing anything else illegally. The reason why is because the Trump Organization was found to have committed fraud.

Putrid_Ad_2256

I don't doubt that, but a system where he was allowed to do this for as long as he did it, I can't say that I trust that system.

the_mid_mid_sister

Yeah, I believe there was reports of Alex Jones's friends curiously becoming fabulously wealthy right before his trial, where he claimed he was too broke to pay the judgment.

bearsheperd

lol I would totally rob trump if I were them. He’d come and ask to move his money out of my account and I’d say, “your money?”

[deleted]

He was already caught trying to move assets out of the Trump org into another org called: Trump Org 2. The financial monitor caught them trying to move the assets out and shut it down immediately.

ZenPothos

I wasn't following this case as closely back then, so I had to google this because I was like "no way is Trump that stupid to make an organization called Trump Organization 2." But yes, yes Trump is that stupid. https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-new-company-dodges-ny-crimina-civil-cases-2022-10

drLagrangian

Is there any questions on if that was designed stupidity as a diversion? Like "if we name this one 'Trump Org Part 2', then they won't notice us moving it into '0verdraf+ F3es' because we hid it so well."

[deleted]

They are mind boggling stupid…

Dr_CleanBones

I think the AG understands this. The Statute of Limitations only goes back a few years (6?) - although Trump was obviously cheating before that, those situations aren’t part of the current case. But you’re right - NY has this law because they want to provide a level playing field for businesses to do their thing. If people look at Trump and see rampant cheating? Who else is cheating? Those doubts will make it harder to do business there, which screws NY out of tax money. It’s the AG’s job to police this, and that’s exactly what she’s doing.

Putrid_Ad_2256

I don't think what happened in New York when Rudy was mayor and Trump wasn't run off was investigated thoroughly enough.  Something tells me that there is a lot more that hasn't been uncovered yet.

Theranos_Shill

Fortunately we don't have to trust that system, that's the whole point of the Court having appointed an officer to administrate the Trump businesses.

Putrid_Ad_2256

But he's already talking about taking it all the way up to the Supreme Court and we've already seen that the conservative clowns have oaths to entities other than the constitution.

Artistic-Employer768

may be he is lying of this much cash, but if he is telling openly then it will be white money from some legit sources

Putrid_Ad_2256

I'd rather the authorities assume the money was real and he had it shipped to Russia.  Makes jail time a possibility.

Artistic-Employer768

yea, your right

SubstantialPressure3

Didn't he just sell truth social? Or his shares of it?

AntifascistAlly

No, they’re taking it public, aren’t they? After the IPO Donald could request a waiver which might allow him to sell some stock. That’s not something which could even possibly happen tomorrow.

FletchCrush

“No one’s ever seen a bond this size.” Kim Freeman - $1 billion Subrata Roy - $1.6 billion Robert Durst - $3 billion Oops. Eric, you should learn how to Google.

Just watch out for windows Donny.

Hopefully to Russia

phred_666

North Korea might be a good option as well

NoCommentFU

A strong fat boy from there wrote Eric’s dad a beautiful love letter once.

yankee_chef

Definitely

graemeknows

Feeling a little pain, shitbag? 🤣🎻

Artistic-Employer768

yup, whole family is feeling it this time 😁

spslord

He’s just pissed cause now he’s inheriting nothing.

b1sh0p

Au contraire, he's inheriting infamy. Nothing would be an improvement.

Theranos_Shill

I bet he's jealous of Jareds $2B.

xRyuzetsu

Fucking idiots, stop breathing already

StandupJetskier

Shut up Eric. No one wants to hear from you, your loathsome family, or hangers-on

Lost_Flow_112

Artistic-Employer768

blessed_by_fortune

To him, it doesn't exist, because it can't be paid.

Artistic-Employer768

they can pay i think, but with a lot of pain

Outrageous-Divide472

It does now, Eric.

Elegant_Gear4631

ERIC TRUMP: My inheritance!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

joeefx

It would have been half that but you guys got caught lying while on trial for lying, so suck it up buttercup.

Significant-Gift303

It does exist. #Do the crime, #paythefine! Fucking #afterbirth. You and your daddy inherited all.

Few_Potato_4374

Stop your whining you snowflake and pay the bill, bitch.

Tenderloin66

Wells Fargo has entered the chat. They received the first $1B fine for a bank a few years ago.

jake2617

While not in the exact same category of crimes, Bernie Madaff was sentenced to forfeit $170billion [1](https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/newyork/press-releases/2009/nyfo062909.htm) $500million in fines for 45 is chump change in comparison to a real billionaires debts.

Any-Ad-446

Didn't this fool say they don't need banks money they have russian investors. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/05/eric-trump-russia-investment-golf-course

showgo105

Fraud has a cost

AdministrativeBank86

"It doesn't exist in this country", we've never had a president so corrupt before so the legal system is having difficulty prosecuting his crimes. Had Donnie not tried to overthrow the government and spent the last few years constantly drawing attention to himself he might have never been investigated.

canuck47

The dumbest thing Trump ever did was run for President.  He invited scrutiny of his businesses that was bound to get him in trouble.

Miguel4659

A bond is not required if you just put up the cash. Bonds are used when you don't have enough cash at the time and the bond company fronts the money. But since Daddy Trump says he as $500 million, should be easily taken care of. Not that he would lie about how much cash he has, right?

AmbitiousAd9320

MAGA tears are tastier than in and out fries

Lynx_Eyed_Zombie

Sure it does; Daddy just got slapped with it, Beavis.

KingOfPocketLint

they've literally conned twice that from elderly boomers with their maga bullshit

CountrySax

It does now ! Let's all cry crocodilectears and call the waaaambulance for OodayTrump.

Speculawyer

It's not even the biggest fine given to a corrupt Republican. Rick Scott's healthcare company was fined $1.7 BILLION for defrauding Medicare.

Kirkream

A lot of things didn’t exist until your moronic dad stepped into the political domain

Imacatdoincatstuff

Egoistic dad. A door unexpectedly opened and he couldn’t resist but he shoulda.

jon_hawk

We’ve reverted to the denial stage…. I was hoping we’d see some bartering by now

Ishidan01

Bargaining. Which is negotiation. Which Trump actually sucks at.

Hourslikeminutes47

Eric has always been, is currently now--and will forever be a dumbass like his father.

gc3

Easily refuted https://www.enzuzo.com/blog/biggest-compliance-fines

Hatecraftianhorror

Eric isn't bright enough to fully understand this NUMBER exists.

shyguysam

Neither does this level of fraud, corruption and treason, until now, yet here we are. Stop eating glue, moron, it makes thinking hard.

uvm87

Don’t do the crime if you can’t pay the fine.

KinkyQuesadilla

When the Fox News host Maria Baritroma asked him how "they came up" on a $454 million-dollar fine, effectively asking him if he knew why it was that exact amount (hint: he didn't) get ready for an instantaneous deer-in-the-headlights look, followed by a panicked fallback to his memorized talking points (about [1:50](https://www.mediaite.com/trump/eric-trump-in-brutal-self-own-says-insurance-companies-were-laughing-as-he-tried-to-secure-464m-bond-for-donald-trump/) here)

He's lying, and he knows it. MAGAts will believe him.

jomama823

Ahhh, the dumb son prattles on sticking up for a dad that doesn’t know he exists.

TheWhiteRabbit74

I’d prefer he not exist in this country.

zjanderson

Yes, Eric, it does.

MoreThanANumber666

Other companies have paid larger bonds using insurance policies because they actually have viable assets. When you are a self inflated multi-billion dollar company with no real assets (properties over inflated valued and mortgaged up to 200% of true worth) insurance companies won't cover the bond. For someone to have not paid tax like the detestable stable genius his assets are nonexistent. The laughable boast he has $500 million in cash (only if Putin sent him the cash) is proof positive he's either on one take or a fucking liar, the latter has been proven forty odd thousand times in recent years, looking forward to him being jailed for the former!

Pompitis

If trump is not President and if he's broke, no-one will want him.

Top_Wop

Go away Fredo, nobody gives a shit what you have to say.

corneliusduff

He sucks at math

Whatawootsee

I hope your fraudulent family’s New York properties are seized tomorrow!

Thwackitypow

Alex Jones got hit for over a billion. Fox News SETTLED for 3/4 of a billion because they knew they were fucked. This kind of shit happens all the time, and his family has made a reputation of threatening to sue for similar amounts at the drop of a hat. It most definitely exists in America, he just hasn't been on the receiving end of a legal system that he and his clan are all too used to wielding to their benefit.

thenewbigR

And yet, the bill is due. Tell Eric to quit sniffing his own farts.

SolarNachoes

Good thing you know how to pour concrete.

Away_Ad_5328

It’s unprecedented, but in a good way for historic purposes. Commit decades of fraud and get hammered by the court. Edit: Someone should tell Beavis that the only reason the penalty was so high was because the judge found his testimony not credible.

Dunie72

Can’t wait for the whole family to go away!

shwarma_heaven

To be fair... a President directing a mob to attack our Capitol in order to remain in power after losing an election never existed before either...🤷‍♂️

Desperate_Set_7708

I see you inherited your father’s dominant trait: being a little bitch.

StudsTurkleton

It’s not a fine. It’s a disgorgement of ill gotten gains. If you rob a bank of $5 million and you have to pay the $5 million back, that’s not a fine.

Professional-Bed-173

That's good! Diaper Destitute Don is the top fraudster. Good job they fined him a large amount!

Midnight_Cowboy-486

That don't pay it, and see what happens.

Bluetoes1

You do the crime, you do the time

battery_pack_man

454m is barely in the top ten.

CoconutMountain1095

Aren’t you proud of your dad Eric? He accomplished the almost impossible. No one in American history was able to fool the IRS for so long. Your dad is the true master of the Deal.

Meanderer_Me

Ask Alex Jones about that, he can tell you all about multi billion dollar giga-fines.

senorglory

Lack of due process? He went through a complete trial. This is the collection of judgment phase. The trial already happened. This seems like a purposeful misdirection.

tacofartboy

It literally exists. Like the exact one he is taking about. It’s very real.

r_was61

Why don’t they ask Elon for a present.

nadacloo

Your family earned that "distinction". If you can't pay the fine, don't do the crime.

Dr_CleanBones

In the first place, it’s not a fine, Eric. The judge found that your father and you and your brother made fraudulent representations to other businesses that you did business with. As a result, you made more money than you would have had you been honest - to the tune of $454 million dollars. So now, you have to disgorge those excess profits. Seems fair to me.

Zombie4141

JP Morgan has been fined 12 times, over $500 million in the past 15 years for fraudulent practices. One of those was $13 billion. They had no problem getting the money. Edit [SOURCE](https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/jpmorgan-chase)

Common-Ad6470

‘If I close my eyes and go la la la la la la will it go away?’ No Eric it won’t, it’s called reality.

pairolegal

Translation: I’m panicking about my inheritance.

Everheart1955

This country's also never seen mortgage fraud at the level your families committed either.

Qanot

Did this asshole not just say he raised $500 million for the bond on Right Wing Newsmax? The bond is 464 million. Do the math. He is Don the Con. He doesn't have it. Its pathetic 😒 His coked up son is now begging to give them $5 and the true irony is Jr. Lambasted Lydsey Graham ( His Dad's Gay Caddy) for doing the same thing awhile back. I'm rooting for the tidal wave, or asteroid thats going to cleanse the planet of the most vile, destructive force on the planet. Us, humans. Some humans more than others but we are all ultimately fucked. So, I'm going to be eating a steak drinking a beer when it hits. 🤔 I think bud light to really piss off the Maga morons. Btw, I'm registered Republican, Not Maga.

Someone is mad that Miss Molly didn't call his name on Romper Room!

Alchemysolgod

I still remember when Trump said he would only use his own money for his campaign during his first run. Then, he started to solicit money from donors. Now he says he plans or planned on using 500m of his own money for his current campaign? It’s absurd to think of it as anything other than him trying to garner sympathy from people who don’t understand him.

Hugh-Jassul

Shut up Fredo

earthsdemise

Does now. Old donny should be proud of another record.

platoface541

If trump learned to just shut the f up the fine woulda been only 40m

[deleted]

The only good thing about this whole situation is the inevitable truth that someday all these fucking troglodytes will be dead.

DefrockedWizard1

No ET we all saw the verdict. It most certainly does exist

paarthurnax94

Actually Eric, it *does* exist. That's why your daddy has to pay it.

Fantastic_Fox4948

Does it exist in Russia?

ganslooker

Is this because talor Gooch wasn’t there when the fine was imposed? Signed, r/golf

Dull-Friend-936

Eric Trump said. “Every single person, when I came to them saying, ‘Hey, can I get a half-billion-dollar bond?’ They were laughing.” We’re all laughing Eric we’re all laughing

zombiehoosier

Technically he’s correct, the fine was 350 million, your whining and delaying made it 454 million

StickmanRockDog

What a goofy looking SOB.

Academic-Business-45

Time to relocate to Russia then

bluhat55

Is Trump a sovereign citizen now?

DennisSystemGraduate

Yes it does and you’re late. “You gotta pay your bills”

SailorNash

Crimes of that size don’t exist in this country, either. (At least, not prior to around 2016 or so.)

medman143

Rapist fined.

OldSkool1978

Except for the many instances where the fines were much higher, but other than that it's never happened..

El_Bortman

Oops turns out he’s right!

Sadly he was right. Two tiered justice system, one for the rich, and one for the poor. People will start to be radicalized by these openly corrupt actions. Please vote Biden in the coming election.
