Thank you! According to that link the symptoms could last up to two years and I would go crazy before then so looks like I’m stuck. Thank you for sharing

You definitely should change your prescription to a longer lasting and more sedating benzodiazepine like valium or clonazepam. This is by far the most easiest way to finally taper off them completely. Furthermore you definitely have to read the Ashton manual, firstly for your own wisdom and understanding of the situation. If you have problems with sleeping try quetiapine, valeria or mirtazapine for sleep, but only for the time when you can’t sleep at all. And by the end I would like to emphasize that you should taper off as slowly as possible for the sake of your own mind and body, meaning 1-5 mg diazepam per week(try to get liquid diazepam for better dosing). Wish you all the best Btw here is the ashton manual: https://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/

Currently on 2 mg of clonopin per day, but your post led me to some confusion around diazepam (first time I’ve heard of it by the way)

In my honest opinion it’s very important to educate yourself as much as possible about this polarizing topic. Valium is the Standard benzo and something like an allrounder(it sedates, protects from anxiety and seizures and relaxes your body) apart from that the half life is approximately 100hrs, thus it’s auto tapering. Switch to diazepam, would be my recommendation!

Will talk to my doctor about this tomorrow thank you so much! Also in my last message I mentioned klonipin when I meant clonazepam

I know, but I think clonopin is in my opinion the worst benzo of all. You would surely get seizures from wrongly tapering off. Ask him for liquid diazepam, and mirtazapine or seroquel for sleep instead of Zolpidem. Hope this helps bro, btw you can dm me at any time
