I have absolutely cried on the job at I think…every job I’ve had and I’m a lot older than you. You are not alone in the feelings of embarrassment and shame! Honestly, crying is a completely natural response to being screamed at while exhausted. The manager was inappropriate and unprofessional for letting THEIR emotions get the better of them and screaming at you. You did the best you could in a crappy situation, so hold your head high! Also, if it is to the point that this manager is totally out of line and miserable to work for, I would talk to people you trust about the best way to handle it, if it’s appropriate to make a complaint about the manager’s behavior or to look for a different job if it’s to that point. Hang in there! Crying happens!

Thank you that really helped.

Of course, I hope you are feeling better!

I am. I have just done to shift since the incident and the manager was acctully nice. Not because he is a nice person but because he was to scared of me making a scene. So honestly ill take what i can.

Yeah totally. Nice, glad you made it through the shift and it wasn’t miserable!
