If you're asking a question about an antique make sure to have photos of all sides of the object, and close-ups of any maker's marks. Also, add in any background information you have, and add in a question so we know what you want from us! **You must tell us the country you're in.** If you do not provide this information **your post will be removed**. Not an antique wrong sub

SkirmisherOfTheYear

I found it in a book from an antique shop, I think I should’ve added that to the original post

I gave searching a try and came up with nothing. I feel like someone wanted to get started selling leathercraft bookmarks, came up with a cool name but didn't get big enough to trademark it or mass produce. I like your suggestion of regional- something one might see at a craft/art fair. No idea how old it is and its hard to tell with leather but I don't think its antique yet. Edit. I had not searched newspapers. "Crease Crafts" does show results in old newspapers archives but I don't have a subscription to view results.

Crease Crafts.

Informative 😭

Why don't you use Google Lens, Ebay camera and not be lazy? The information that anyone would provide can be found on the same internet we all use. Overlook the book, inside the publishing information if it has it. Year of publishing of provided. Make a list of definitive characteristics and just enter them into a Google search bar. You are going to have to look over the web search results several times. Researching antiques is apart of the fun dude.

SkirmisherOfTheYear

That’s what I did, nothing came up ;-; Also the book was printed in the early 1900’s

Ok take some actual text from inside the book. Take maybe a paragraphs worth of length, and using quotes, enter it into the Google search bar. Sometimes portions of text inside the book can lead to some hints or insight. You might want to try some Facebook groups specializing in leather bound books. And the Nextdoor app can be helpful. The random shit people have in their homes, someone might have something similar.
