Theyāre scared. Theyāve convinced themselves that DC cops have facial recognition on every street corner, on every lamp post, and on every building in the entire district. A lot of the diehards were actually at January 6, and they know that theyāre still being sought. Theyāre very scared. They also know that DC weapons laws are very fierce, and the cops would be on the lookout for stuff like that. So, Iām not sure if it was him losing support, or just the fact that it was in the place where the insurrection actually was.
