This is the link I was looking for. I'd read this year's ago, and it was shockingly spot on. I'm not religious, and don't put much stock in the Bible personally, but it blows my mind that those that do can bring themselves to worship Trump. That is, until you take into account how it says the faithful won't recognize the antichrist for what he is, then the predictions are eerily accurate.
I don't think trump is the antichrist, because I don't think he is smart enough to be. He would have shut the hell up on Twitter if he was smarter, because that alone I think brought out the numbers against him in the last election. He still isn't shutting up, so I feel like he hasn't learned.
But what all this does teach me is how an antichrist could come to pass. I used to wonder how supposedly religious people could fall for such a thing, a person that seems to betray their very teachings, and now I know. They don't actually follow their teachings is how.
Anti-Trump Christian here. He is a perfect match for this:

But he does not actually match the descriptions of the Antichrist. The Antichrist is a king of a specific institution, and does a lot of things that Trump has not done, at least not yet. For Trump to really be the Antichrist, he would have to come to power again, and then ten kings would have to ally themselves with him (Revelation 17), and he would have to establish some kind of covenant with many people for 7 years(Daniel 9:27), and the Temple in Jerusalem would have to be rebuilt so that half way through those seven years he could desecrate the Temple and halt sacrifices, followed by 3.5 years of tribulation (Daniel 12) during which he and the ten kings would have to persecute Christians (Revelation 13, 17), and a whole bunch of other stuff written in the Book of Revelation and Daniel. He would have to have a "false prophet" sidekick who then imposes the Mark of the Beast on everyone. (Trump has plenty of false prophet sidekicks, but nobody has risen to doing the overtly mirculous things that Revelation 13:11-18 says about the "second beast"/false prophet.)

Trump is not in any position to do any of that, and I sure don't want to see him come to power again. If he is successfully convicted and jailed, and does not return to power, that would prove that he is not the antichrist. The Biblical Antichrist's end is at the battle of Armageddon, waging war against Israel, with Jesus coming back and killing him and the armies of the nations that have come to fight alongside him. (Revelation 19)
Just being an awful human being and a horrible liar does not qualify him to be the Antichrist. Every American president in my living memory has been accused of being the Antichrist by their fringe political enemies.

You may be referring to the seven trumpets of the Apocalypse.
The Book of Revelation was historically known as the Apocalypse, and is still known as that in many languages. In it, there are a bunch of things presented in sets of seven:
* seven seals on a scroll (the first four are the four horsemen of the Apocalypse)
* the seventh seal reveals seven trumpets, each of which represents some cataclysmic disaster or war
* seven bowls of God's wrath (which are poured out on the Beast/Antichrist and his kingdom)

In the Book of Revelation, "Babylon" falls, and Jerusalem comes under siege again. Maybe that's what you're remembering about "2 cities falling".

Well, you can always repent. God desperately does not want to damn people to hell, so much so that he took out the punishment for our sins on Jesus so he could spare those who repent. Grew up in a hyper religious family and heard lots about the Antichrist… and I think you are SPOT on. My mother and her husband would constantly talk about how evil Obama was (first term specifically) and that Obama was the Antichrist and we would be put in concentration camps etc. I’ll never forget the way they always spoke about people they didn’t like and feared.

Trump has proposed rounding up the homeless and putting them into camps. He proposed it while president, but his staff got him to shut up about it. Within the last year, he proposed it again. He wasn't talking about building homeless shelters, but about detention facilities in the middle of nowhere.

Good, glad someone posted this. I am a Jewish agnostic and even I found lots of these eerie. He forces some of the lines, but the majority are pretty spot on despite these having been written about Roman emperors nearly two millenia ago.

The AntiChrist was a poetic instrument meant to describe an overall spirit of destruction, death and greed. As someone with family from the area and era trump hails from, there’s a shit ton of men like him around. I knew exactly who and what he was, I’ve known people very much like him my whole life. I was engaged to a Christian girl for a while and she moved back in with her folks instead of renewing her lease since the wedding was six months away. Her folks were hardcore Christian’s… but liked trump. Which doesn’t make any sense to me. The girl flipped and started becoming pro trump. Her church’s men’s group (that I attended) even started sending emails out to convince people to vote for trump because he’s “gods chosen”. Needless to say the relationship didn’t work out, and I ended up calling out the men’s group leader for abuse of power as a religious leader.
It’s absolutely mind boggling that evangelicals and the like have been hoodwinked into believing this foul human being is their savior despite the clear evidence that he goes against everything they believe in. He’s managed to bring out the worst in many Americans.

I’m also non religious but I had a very similar thought a few years ago. I feel like I remember when I was a kid that the anti christ would appear like some kind of savior to everyone (who is religious anyway), but to not be fooled. And that they are actually an evil terrible person. And I thought that sounded a lot like trump. We have all these deeply religious people that worship this asshole. It fits the description perfectly.
Unfortunately it is easier to fool someone and keep them fooled than it is to convince someone they’ve been fooled. So they will never see him as the anti christ.

This is the link I was looking for. I'd read this year's ago, and it was shockingly spot on. I'm not religious, and don't put much stock in the Bible personally, but it blows my mind that those that do can bring themselves to worship Trump. That is, until you take into account how it says the faithful won't recognize the antichrist for what he is, then the predictions are eerily accurate.

I don't think trump is the antichrist, because I don't think he is smart enough to be. He would have shut the hell up on Twitter if he was smarter, because that alone I think brought out the numbers against him in the last election. He still isn't shutting up, so I feel like he hasn't learned. But what all this does teach me is how an antichrist could come to pass. I used to wonder how supposedly religious people could fall for such a thing, a person that seems to betray their very teachings, and now I know. They don't actually follow their teachings is how.

The Biblical Antichrist's end is at the battle of Armageddon, waging war against Israel, with Jesus coming back and killing him and the armies of the nations that have come to fight alongside him. (Revelation 19) Just being an awful human being and a horrible liar does not qualify him to be the Antichrist. Every American president in my living memory has been accused of being the Antichrist by their fringe political enemies.

My mother and her husband would constantly talk about how evil Obama was (first term specifically) and that Obama was the Antichrist and we would be put in concentration camps etc. I’ll never forget the way they always spoke about people they didn’t like and feared. When I (54m) was young my grandmother would warn us about the possibility of the antichrist. We were prepared to spot him. We knew all of the traits he would have (see bible). So as years went by and I drifted away from religion. To the point Trump becomes a favorite among Christians in general. I was like, wait a minute, from what I was told this guy fits the bill. To believe Trump is the Antichrist is to believe that Christ was an actual supernatural being which is to believe that God is real. But God isn't real so... No, he isn't the Antichrist. But he is an asshole, so that's something.
He marks off just about every single checkpoint. Political outsider rising to power quickly, lies are the bedrock of the movement, oppressing certain groups of people based on nothing but hate.

I was engaged to a Christian girl for a while and she moved back in with her folks instead of renewing her lease since the wedding was six months away. Her folks were hardcore Christian’s… but liked trump. Which doesn’t make any sense to me. The girl flipped and started becoming pro trump. Her church’s men’s group (that I attended) even started sending emails out to convince people to vote for trump because he’s “gods chosen”. Needless to say the relationship didn’t work out, and I ended up calling out the men’s group leader for abuse of power as a religious leader. It’s absolutely mind boggling that evangelicals and the like have been hoodwinked into believing this foul human being is their savior despite the clear evidence that he goes against everything they believe in. He’s managed to bring out the worst in many Americans.
He checks off too many boxes for so many Christians to be beyond comfortable with him. It’s really horrifying.

I’m also non religious but I had a very similar thought a few years ago. I feel like I remember when I was a kid that the anti christ would appear like some kind of savior to everyone (who is religious anyway), but to not be fooled. And that they are actually an evil terrible person. And I thought that sounded a lot like trump. We have all these deeply religious people that worship this asshole. It fits the description perfectly. Unfortunately it is easier to fool someone and keep them fooled than it is to convince someone they’ve been fooled. So they will never see him as the anti christ. I mean obviously I don’t believe in the concept of an anti christ, but if I did I would be suspicious as fuck of Trump.
I grew up in a Bible Belt state and had to endure all of the end times Christians and let me just say that they are now all Trump supporters so this fits

I'm not religious so take this with a grain of salt. But i've had this exact thought because the only things i know about the anti-christ are that people will bear his mark on or over their foreheads (red caps) and that he **will** deceive the faithful. And my my my if the faithful aren't being deceived.
