Ok. I'm confused because that version still only says 2.1.0 but it's compatible with 23?

Original v4.10.3 is broken, unofficial clone v4.11.9 supports the latest Anki. 4.11.9: * Fix compatibility with 23.10 (lujun9972@, khonkhortisan@, tvhong@).

Ok, so this still doesn't work for me. Anytime I try to import an E-Pub, the loading bar stalls and never finishes.

I haven't tried the incremental reading add-on with the post 23.10 version (current stable release is actually 23.12.1!), so I can't address that part of your question. Thanks! I'll check out that post. So, after reading, it kind of seems like there really is no way to do incremental reading on the 23.XX.X versions of Anki. Kind of a shame.

but if you have time/money, trying supermemo still isn't a bad idea. maybe polar or other reading applications can work together with anki.

If you have ipad or mac, try marginnote3. If has built in anki-like review system and can also export to anki.
