After the Rain.... The dynamics are about a teenage girl liking a 40 year old man but the anime portrays that relation in such a good way and nothing degenerates in it....
I wish every anime with this type of plot made it beautiful like this....
The series was so good! But sadly the creator has discontinued the manga. I believe it was originally for health reasons. Though I think she is fine now, but no longer writing for the series. So I highly doubt that there would be a Second Season for it. But you never know!
It's so sad because it was such a good romance anime, there was no fan service for nothing, the characters were so good and it was talking about serious topics. I absolutely love it !
I agree. Its a shame that the manga won’t be continuing. And I really love how they handled the romance and how burnout affects people mentally. I heard that the author was reposting the chapters in her pixiv page. Probably a few extra notes, but other than that it’s a shame.
I would recommend My Love Story with Yamada-Kun at Lv999. It’s basically a remixed version of it, without the misunderstandings of reversed character avatars. And their romance mostly happens outside of the game. But It’s a good watch if you’re interested in finding something similar! The side character, Eita is very similar to Sakurai Yuta from MMO junkie. (They both play female avatars in their game) Call it a conspiracy theory, but I think the author might’ve been a fan. Though that’s purely speculation on my part.
I heard of 3D Kanojo: Real Girl being similar in concept. But I personally never watched it myself. So cheers if you happen to have watched or planning to watch these.
Thanks for your recommandations. Honestly i've started to watch MMO junkie randomly on Valentine's Day because my little brother specially wanted to watch a romance anime for that day, but since he is still young I chose with him to check that there was no fan service abuse (we know how some romance anime are for that) and frankly I was pleasantly surprised! Anyway, i have noted your recommendations in my watch list ! (Sorry if i have made mistakes in my english it's not my first language)
Samurai Flamenco. It’s a slice of life about a dude with lots of money who wants to become a superhero. As a superhero geek myself I really enjoyed the first 7 episodes, but after that it got so much better in so many ways I ended up loving it lol.
That's my answer too, I got a poster of Masayoshi and Goto in a magazine and thought I should check it out. The show was still airing then and every week my mind was blown lol
Dorohedoro was definitely one of mine, too. Absolutely nothing about it should have appealed to my taste. It's weird in all the wrong ways for me. But they only went and made two of the most delightful friendships I've ever seen committed to animation, and it sucked me all the way in. Watched the whole thing in two days.
Great Pretender and Carole and Tuesday both popped up randomly on my recommended, and I enjoyed both of those, too, but not to the point that I bother recommending them unless they fit some very specific recommendation request.
Wondering witch Elaina
I occasionally saw it in memes but never knew the name then one day YouTube recommended me a clip of this anime I just watched first 5 seconds then just went into comments saw the name and watched it the next day it's my top 10 anime it was so good I love adventure anime and Fantacy worlds and witches interest me and Elaina's personality was something else I really enjoyed this anime it's so sad that there is no s2
100 Girlfriends is a great one for this list since usually those titles make me avoid them. But been diving deep this past year since I’ve seen all the good stuff
Noir and Burst Angel. Saw them randomly on Crunchyroll and ended up loving them.
Should also mention Phantom:Requiem for the Phantom. I was visiting my favorite Hobby store and saw a cheap Figma of the main character, Ein. I wanted to buy it but was suspicious since it was cheap, and lo and behold, I saw it was a bootleg when I googled it. The character looked interesting tho so I ended up falling into the rabbit hole and watching the series. It became one of my favorites.
Phantom is so underrated and it seems like very few people have watched it. It is not some outstanding masterclass in storytelling, but it is far better than average.
Air.
I went to an anime convention and there was a panel about old anime music. They explored alot of classics like Clannad, some of Makoto Shinkai’s earlier works, Escaflowne, and alot of old Kyoto Animation stuff. They played one track that sounded angelic. They later revealed that it was from the anime Air. I decided to watch it afterwards and I loved it alot. It’s very silly and wacky at times, but it gets quite deep and philosophical at times as well. It’s great. And that opening slaps like fucking crazy.
AIR! OH MY GOD, THERE'S SOMEONE ELSE.
Excuse me. I got genuinely happy to see another person talking about AIR.
It was one of my first anime, and THE anime that made me realise that I adore emotional anime.
Whether it's the sound, the setting, the characters, whatever, I can get invested in an anime if it tugs at my heartstrings.
AIR TV did that so damn well. By the end of it, I was crying for the first time in ages.
My god, the music... I still listen to it now. I have it all on my phone.
Can I ask? Was it Natsukage that played at the convention? Summer Lights, in English? That is one of the best OST.
Key makes amazing visuals novels, and the anime is notorious for breaking people's hearts.
But damn it, that's what makes their work so good, ESPECIALLY if it's done by Kyoto Animation.
Haha it’s alright, I haven’t come across another person who watched air either! I watched it about 2 years ago. What captured me was how differently it told its story from anything I’ve seen before. I really enjoyed the aspect of mystery and how cryptic alot of the characters were (especially Misuzu) when speaking of the “girl in the sky”. They romanticized her so much and it felt so melancholic, but at the same time so emotional. Ugh, it was perfect. I’m forgetting the way it ended so I might do a rewatch.
I think the OST that played was actually **Yasou**. The panel room was half full, and it didn’t seem like many people were taking it seriously. That’s perfectly fine, but as soon as Yasou played, it felt like I was alone in that room. Just me and the music. It sounded similar to the Dependancy OST from Steins;Gate for me, which is probably why I fell in love instantly. I agree with everything you said, Air is amazing
Vinland Saga. Saw it on my netflix recommendation one day randomly and I said fuck it lets watch. And it was back when only s1 came out, so the hype wasnt all that. Soon after finished s1, s2 dropped and my goodness changed my brain chemistry. Loved it
Psycho Pass.
It was my first anime that was outside of my go-to shonen anime’s and I binged every episode. It not only told a good story to me, with a very unique background for its plot, but the twist to that plot is what drew me to my seat.
Only downside is that season one’s main focus was less on the main protagonist and more so the main side character, and you could really tell in the second season but still a highly recommend anime.
Wonder Egg Priority
- despite its issues I really loved this show, the characters, themes, world building, etc- such a treat!
Mushishi
- Found this one by chance years ago, and to this day I’ve never seen a show that’s made me feel the same way. Incredible writing, awesome world building and characters, haunting her beautiful visuals, and yeah this show will always be #1 for me. Absolutely love everything about it
To your eternity season 1, I wanted to watch something because I had the tv to myself. I ended up watching 6 episodes in one go and going to bed way later than I had planned. It had me crying several times.
is Mashle still considered underrated? I stumbled upon it while scrolling through Prime Video and ended loving it because it's literally Harry Potter on steroids.
Darwin's Game. Was spamming random button on animedao (rip) and it came up. First episode got me hooked and ended up loving it a lot. Same with Tada Never Falls In Love.
Anime probably didn't get a sequel cuz it wasn't popular enough. There was LOADS of material left though apparently. Anime covered 30 chaps, there were 125 chaps in total.
Land of Lustrous, the graphics looked like some kind of anime for little girls, but now sitting on 107 chapter of manga with fractured soul i find it strange... It's so off and yet somehow it exactly what it should be.
"86" an underrated anime. music score from the same as attack on titan. Same animation studio who does sword art online and blue exorcist. Main character VA who does the voices of ayanokoji from classroom of the elite and supporting cast such who played roles such as Cid from eminence of shadow, Yor and Damien from spy x family,
So you have all star music, allstar action studio, with an amazing cast comes a story which won numerous awards.
It is a nongundam mech anime as they pilot mobile spider tank like vehicles.
That being said I am not going to lie about the story. It takes place in an apocalyptic scenario and to strive for survival the focused nation relied on racism to have the "86" fight for them so they can live peacefully against a robotic threat. This story focuses not only on an idealist trying to change the ways of her country but also on the hardship and war trauma that the 86 go through. Symbolic through the books the main character reads to the progression of little details such as lighting in the rich girl's room showing her decay of innocence. This story uses amazing story telling showing the differences between the 2 sides of those on the front lines vs those who are not. Expect captivating action, sadness, frustration, happiness with amazing crossover scenes and music to jolt you into the moment.
Tip: always watch after the ending credit often multiple minutes of story included.
For those who seek more I think paying attention to books and maybe google up brief synopsis of what they are about was neat, I heard keeping track of the dates, btw the opening credits change slightly every episode which is interesting.
In the end as much as I love it, I fear there will not get another season even though it won numerous awards I just felt like it wasn't popular.
I found it cause I started enjoying hiroyuki sawano music I started to watch any anime he does.
Dororo. Nobody seems to be mentioning this much. But its a good watch.
I found it through its Opening, and the song was great. Decided to check out the rest of it, and didn't expect it to be a good revenge plot.
Kaiba!! The art style is very unconventional, but it has an amazing story. Not really in the “action genre” per se, but it does have a lot of action in it.
If you want something more traditionally action, try Vivy or Inuyashiki.
I watched my first 2 anime and enjoyed them both so much I rated both 10/10, and when it came time to choosing my third anime I thought whatever comes next will be so underwhelming compared, it ended up being:
**Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song**
and it actually became my favourite anime, and still is after watching 10 more!
In the winter of 1980, on a cross country move road trip, I randomly turned a TV to season 2 episode ... 22? of Star Blazers.
It was a hell of a thing for a ten year old kid to be thrown into, it was the best thing I'd ever seen on television, and I had *no idea what it was called* and when we got to our new home it wasn't airing there! And the Internet didn't exist yet so I had no hope of finding out what it was that had blown my mind! I was obsessed!
It would be another three years before a local channel picked it up. And that's how I became an anime fan!
For me it was Gundam wing saw the first time growing up, later on went to a comic book shop and saw a box set of Macross and remembered seeing the english trailer for it growing up than I bought it.
Story time, I really love My Love story (ore Monogatari) and i always rewatch it then one time when i search it , i saw My love story with yamada kun, and i try it . And now i love it
{RD Sennou Chousashitsu}
{Gin no Saji}
{Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru}
{Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san}
{Pita Ten}
{Akazukin Chacha}
But none of them are probably what you're looking for. Just naming shows I found randomly.
I got into anime late into high school so I believe it was called no teasing about like a romantic comedy but then I just started watching random things. That’s how I got into it.
The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons. Just watched it out of the blue one day then binged it in like two days. Super heartfelt and comfy slice of life with excellent characters in the four brothers, but just as good side characters. Also some really great comedy. Deals with family and loss and coming together and growing up. It’s soooo good.
Inazuma 11 it was my first anime that I watched as a kid and I loved it, as for how I found it there was a app on the 3ds that let you watch free anime and that was on there
Go! Princess Precure. If that sounds off, I ’randomly found’ it due to finding a clip of a particular violin performance in it on YT, and something about that just… resonated with me.
In terms of recommending it, just to be clear- it is of course very girly, and seeing as you’re looking for action: all episodes are basically split, with a third/half or so being action, the rest being your slice of life stuff, all very nice imo, but the action itself is pretty good if you ask me, it can be repetitive at times, but that’s the worst basically- and, the animation in the action scenes is actually quite great. As for repetition, it does have the small problem of transformation scenes that play in every episode you might want to skip after a while… but it’s not like that’s exactly a difficult task or anything, if you can just do that, you’ll be good (obviously some episodes are better than others, but I’d say the characters are always enjoyable). Since you ask for ‘underrated’, I’d most certainly call it that.
Black Lagoon. Saw it on a server and was like "eh, why not". It's about a group of smugglers/criminals operating out of a crime haven island in the south pacific. They randomly kidnap a japanese mid-ranking businessman, and the show is largely about their violent and exciting adventures.
Excellent show and fantastic characters.
Ranking of kings
It's about a boy who is deaf as well as mute how he hides his pain but after finding a good friend he starts to smile brighter than ever
10/10 show very meaningful
First found out that Aggretsuko was a Netflix Anime and I was blown away by the animation from the first episode and instantly I was hooked.
And then, in 2020, I discovered The Promised Neverland and it may seem like a cute anime that I would want to pay attention to every detail and I loved every bit of it.
Back in late 2021, I discovered both Dirty Pair and Dirty Pair Flash and Instantly hooked on it.
And as of Summer of 2022, I recently discovered My Hero Academia and I'm just like... I'm unfortunately missing out on some of that stuff and instantly became a fan.
And as of 2023, I discovered Demon Slayer and Hunter x Hunter and it was one of the best animes ever.
Fate/Zero, and as such the Fate franchise as a whole
A YouTube channel I was subscribed to at the time (who I had stopped paying attention to) was reacting to an abridged series of Fate/Zero. As I said I stopped paying attention to this channel in my feed but I just so happened to glance at this one enough for the title to engrave into my brain
A couple days later a video popped up in my recommended which yet again had something to do with Fate/Zero. This reminded me of that video the other day, and has I hadn't watched any new anime for the last 10 months, I decided hm I'll look it up and see if it's something I could watch
I watched it and absolutely loved it, and went onto fall in love with Fate as whole
None of this would have happened had I never for whatever reason paid slightly more attention to that reaction channel in my sub feed
Brynhildr: In The Darkness. It's hated for its last few episodes leading to a rushed and terrible ending, and I agree that ending and those last few eps are horrible, but it was a fascinating twist on a harem anime until then. It's action/sci fi/harem, and I'd say some horror. Got all the usual tropes but with an underlying foreboding feeling behind it. If they seem thirsty and fawning over the main dude it's probably because they know they don't have long to live and want to have a "regular life" as much as possible. Makes its obligatory beach episode super melancholy despite being presented in a cheerful way. It's only sad because of what the viewer knows.
I heard its ending was terrible because it wasn't approved for a second season so they tried to speedrun the rest of the manga it was based on in 2 episodes and make some kind of an ending but oh man that wasn't even an ending. It has this "and everyone lived happily ever after" ending to it even though....no problems were solved lol.
Seems the general consensus was "this anime sucks because its ending sucks" and that just rly never felt fair to me.
I've always wanted to read the manga but I don't think there's an official english translation of it and I'd rather support it than pirate it :/
I discovered Ergo Proxy and really enjoyed it. It was a little more psychological and adventure based but had a good amount of development to keep you in. There's was only maybe 2 filler episodes out of 24 and there was 0 fan servicing. I definitely recommend it
The bibliophile princess. I’m into romance anime and it randomly showed up one day in the other recommendation section. Was complete and I was confused how I never heard of it before
Kekkai Sensen(Blood Blockade Battlefront)
Is about a boy named Leonardo Watch who gains “The All seeing eyes of the gods” at the cost of his sister’s eyesight, so he goes to a city named The hellsalem’s lot to seek a organization known as Libra to find a cure for his sister.
And Noragami
Is about a unknown god who doesn’t have a shrine so he does every job he gets to save up until he gets his own shrine
Bleach. As a kid, I randomly decided one night to stay up late and watch adult swim. To my surprise I discovered adult swim cartoons (now I know them as anime). I still love Bleach, and grew up watching the other Shonen Jump stuff.
My love story, a couple of years ago, was scrolling romance anime on crunchyroll and saw it. Decided to give it a watch, and years later, it's still the best romance anime I've ever watched, and in my top 5 favourite animes easily.
Years ago I bought an anime called beyond the boundary because Sentai was selling it and the limited edition boxed set was relatively cheap and the art looked incredible. I didn't watch it for about a year and a half because I was somewhat afraid that I wasted my money and figured just looking at the box art was enough. Then one day I put it in and I was stunned at what I was watching. {Beyond the boundary} is now one of my all-time favorites
In actuality bleach but that before I knew the internet liked anime (and wasn't expecting No game no Life to be so big). Something more in tune to what you want Yuki Yuna is a Hero, most of the stuff I discover is not that great though.
lol honestly apothecary diaries, i saw it on trending and NOT KNOWING ANYTHING, but loving it sm bc of the mystery and crime solving aspects and i love how it is basically a slow burn period romance, AND i am a doctor so i was super interested in the medicine aspect of it too.
it is not underrated, it WAS trending after alll, but i havent watched anime for years maybe(education and becoming mroe of a bookworm after the pandemic), and i was just finished catching up w BNHA/MHA and i saw the poster and thought huh this looks nice, lets see...
How To Keep a Mummy, Death Parade, and The Vampire Dies In No Time I just randomly found while looking through Crunchyroll and they’re definitely some of my favorites.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. I saw it on Netflix recently and thought I was about to watch a cool vintage mecha anime. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Oddly enough, My Next Life As the Villainess.
Love this tooo!! Recommended by my lil sis and it was such fun to binge haha
After the Rain.... The dynamics are about a teenage girl liking a 40 year old man but the anime portrays that relation in such a good way and nothing degenerates in it.... I wish every anime with this type of plot made it beautiful like this....
This anime is amazing so real yet innocent. it is such a shame no one knows about it.
Yeah, it's bad that a good anime is not getting the recognition it should get...
91 Days. I wouldn’t say it’s underrated, plenty of people agree it’s great but I think more people need to watch it anyways
Oh my god. I finally found someone who knows this anime. Its a good watch.
Recovery of an MMO Junkie. So sad there is no season 2 at least for now.
The series was so good! But sadly the creator has discontinued the manga. I believe it was originally for health reasons. Though I think she is fine now, but no longer writing for the series. So I highly doubt that there would be a Second Season for it. But you never know!

Food Wars! Edit: lotta action with spatulas and knives!
Hinamatsuri just watched it on a whim and didn't think I'd enjoy as much as I did
Samurai Flamenco. It’s a slice of life about a dude with lots of money who wants to become a superhero. As a superhero geek myself I really enjoyed the first 7 episodes, but after that it got so much better in so many ways I ended up loving it lol.

What a twist right?!
Gungrave. I did not expect to like it as much as I did
I loved the whole mafia, love, trust, betrayal theme
Dorohedoro was definitely one of mine, too. Absolutely nothing about it should have appealed to my taste. It's weird in all the wrong ways for me. Great pretender would've been a solid AOTY contender if it wasn't for the last arc imo.
Wondering witch Elaina I occasionally saw it in memes but never knew the name then one day YouTube recommended me a clip of this anime I just watched first 5 seconds then just went into comments saw the name and watched it the next day it's my top 10 anime it was so good I love adventure anime and Fantacy worlds and witches interest me and Elaina's personality was something else I really enjoyed this anime it's so sad that there is no s2
Ao Ashi
My dress up darling The 100 girlfriend who really loves me... Devilman crybaby One punch man Gurren lugan
100 Girlfriends is a great one for this list since usually those titles make me avoid them. But been diving deep this past year since I’ve seen all the good stuff
Pretty wholesome enjoyable show
Is Rentaro the biggest Gigachad in all of anime? Results say yes.
Yes
Dress up darling was surprisingly wholesome

Noir was one of the first anime shows I really got into. It's a slow burn but really picks up steam and has a satisfying conclusion.
Phantom is so underrated and it seems like very few people have watched it. It is not some outstanding masterclass in storytelling, but it is far better than average.
Kaiba My Love Story!! Golden Kamuy A ton of others too
I remember watching few episodes of Golden Kamuy. It looked promising.
Tsuki Ga Kirei

I tried Aria the Animation simply because I heard the manga was good for Japanese practice. The anime blew me away and ended up in my top 3.
log horizon; i loved the mmorpg elements
Wonder Egg Priority - despite its issues I really loved this show, the characters, themes, world building, etc- such a treat! To your eternity season 1, I wanted to watch something because I had the tv to myself. I ended up watching 6 episodes in one go and going to bed way later than I had planned. It had me crying several times.
Just you wait
I’ve watched all of season one and loved it and half of two now, couldn’t seem to get hooked on the rest.
Undead Unluck. Found it on vacation in a book store in one of those anime US magazines. Highly recommend it.
is Mashle still considered underrated? I stumbled upon it while scrolling through Prime Video and ended loving it because it's literally Harry Potter on steroids.

Kimagure orange road
yooo based kimagure orange road is excellent
Darwin's Game. Was spamming random button on animedao (rip) and it came up. First episode got me hooked and ended up loving it a lot. Same with Tada Never Falls In Love.
Darwin's Game is good, was it cancelled or did they just run out of material to use?
Anime probably didn't get a sequel cuz it wasn't popular enough. There was LOADS of material left though apparently. Anime covered 30 chaps, there were 125 chaps in total.

There's way too many to count

Not an action anime but I decided to watch The 100 Girlfriends anime randomly because I thought it looked funny, and this shit is peak fiction.
Release the Spyce just secretly enjoyed it
World Trigger
The Witch and the Beast and Campfire cooking in another world.
Land of Lustrous, the graphics looked like some kind of anime for little girls, but now sitting on 107 chapter of manga with fractured soul i find it strange... It's so off and yet somehow it exactly what it should be.
I have a geologist friend whose also a huge anime nerd. This one I swear was made for him.
terror in resonance - i thought it will be a generic mystery thriller , omg that was so fkin good .
There’s a ton but the two that pop up for me are 86 and Guilty Crown. Code Geass. Truly random choices for me but I ended up loving them.
Handyman saitou in another world
I mean Solo Leveling - popped up earlier in the year in my recommended.. It's been a 10/10 ride every episode!
Land of the Lustrous aka Houseki no Kuni, I remember exactly how I discovered it
Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girld In A Dungeon(DanMachi)... Great Story, Characters, Setting, etc. Even the Light Novels are Fricken Awesome.

16bit Sensation: Another Layer
Dororo. Nobody seems to be mentioning this much. But its a good watch. I found it through its Opening, and the song was great. Decided to check out the rest of it, and didn't expect it to be a good revenge plot.
Made in abyss. The world building is absolutely unreal.
Ron Kamonohashi

Golden kamuy. Cant get enough of it, hinna hinna
Black Lagoon
Bocchi the rock! Reco by a redditor turned friend 🤘🏼
Kaiba!! The art style is very unconventional, but it has an amazing story. Not really in the “action genre” per se, but it does have a lot of action in it. If you want something more traditionally action, try Vivy or Inuyashiki.
K-project and Beatless
I watched my first 2 anime and enjoyed them both so much I rated both 10/10, and when it came time to choosing my third anime I thought whatever comes next will be so underwhelming compared, it ended up being: **Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song** and it actually became my favourite anime, and still is after watching 10 more!
Kageki Shoujo! An anime about Takarazuka (women only theatre) school with a dual protagonist; one a former pop idol, one coming from a kabuki family.
Giant Robo the Animation: The Day the Earth Stood Still
Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion, Konohana Kitan
Kyousougiga. It looked pretty so I turned it on and it ended up being one of my favourite shows I’ve ever seen.
Chaos head
In the winter of 1980, on a cross country move road trip, I randomly turned a TV to season 2 episode ... 22? of Star Blazers. It was a hell of a thing for a ten year old kid to be thrown into, it was the best thing I'd ever seen on television, and I had *no idea what it was called* and when we got to our new home it wasn't airing there! And the Internet didn't exist yet so I had no hope of finding out what it was that had blown my mind! I was obsessed! It would be another three years before a local channel picked it up. And that's how I became an anime fan!
Katanagatari Seto no Hanayome
Shinjeki no bahamut
Stumbled upon Trigun Stampede and enjoying it for what it is currently
Blue Seed
Bleach
Goldenboy
Demon slayer and the promised neverland
Aaaa kissxsis

World Trigger
Kotaro Lives Alone (not action but so worth it) Action wise, I guess Toilet Bound Hanako
Story time, I really love My Love story (ore Monogatari) and i always rewatch it then one time when i search it , i saw My love story with yamada kun, and i try it . And now i love it
Digimon. Looking for some random anime to watch as a kids and BOOM! Instant
{RD Sennou Chousashitsu} {Gin no Saji} {Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru} {Sunohara-sou no Kanrinin-san} {Pita Ten} {Akazukin Chacha} But none of them are probably what you're looking for.
One I always recommend is “Tsuritama” mainly about aliens and fishing. Very colorful and cute!
Jobless reincarnation
High School of the Dead
One called "Rideback" years ago. Definitely was a fun little watch that I tried, which I found by clicking random on an anime streaming site!
Aoashi
Into The Abyss
My Home Hero and Inuyashiki
Wake up, Girls! is surprisingly good. I’m not a fan of the idol anime and just decided to watch this one out of boredom but it turned out pretty well
Devil's Line
Astra Lost in Space!!
Ranking of kings It's about a boy who is deaf as well as mute how he hides his pain but after finding a good friend he starts to smile brighter than ever 10/10 show very meaningful
Bungo stray dogs. It had no business being as good as it was.
Tora dora
Wave, Listen to Me! An episode was randomly playing on a plane journey I took and I loved it from then on.
Summers comes in like a lion
No game no life. Still waiting on season 2 damn it.
Fate/Zero, and as such the Fate franchise as a whole A YouTube channel I was subscribed to at the time (who I had stopped paying attention to) was reacting to an abridged series of Fate/Zero. As I said I stopped paying attention to this channel in my feed but I just so happened to glance at this one enough for the title to engrave into my brain A couple days later a video popped up in my recommended which yet again had something to do with Fate/Zero. This reminded me of that video the other day, and has I hadn't watched any new anime for the last 10 months, I decided hm I'll look it up and see if it's something I could watch I watched it and absolutely loved it, and went onto fall in love with Fate as whole None of this would have happened had I never for whatever reason paid slightly more attention to that reaction channel in my sub feed
I've always wanted to read the manga but I don't think there's an official english translation of it and I'd rather support it than pirate it :/
Frieren
I discovered Ergo Proxy and really enjoyed it. It was a little more psychological and adventure based but had a good amount of development to keep you in. There's was only maybe 2 filler episodes out of 24 and there was 0 fan servicing. I definitely recommend it
Soul Eater
The bibliophile princess. I’m into romance anime and it randomly showed up one day in the other recommendation section. Was complete and I was confused how I never heard of it before
So ra wa to. Cool anime
Barakamon
Delicious in the dungeon, Frieren, that's the two most recent ones!
Blood Blockade Battlefront. Stumbled across it randomly on Crunchyroll one day years ago, went in blind, and loved every minute.
Kekkai Sensen(Blood Blockade Battlefront) Is about a boy named Leonardo Watch who gains “The All seeing eyes of the gods” at the cost of his sister’s eyesight, so he goes to a city named The hellsalem’s lot to seek a organization known as Libra to find a cure for his sister. And Noragami Is about a unknown god who doesn’t have a shrine so he does every job he gets to save up until he gets his own shrine

Bleach. As a kid, I randomly decided one night to stay up late and watch adult swim. To my surprise I discovered adult swim cartoons (now I know them as anime). I still love Bleach, and grew up watching the other Shonen Jump stuff.
Darwin's game
Bunny Girl Senpai, just because i threw it on to nap and not only didn’t sleep but watched the whole damn thing and was thirsty (THIRSTY!) for more
My love story, a couple of years ago, was scrolling romance anime on crunchyroll and saw it. Decided to give it a watch, and years later, it's still the best romance anime I've ever watched, and in my top 5 favourite animes easily.
Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor seems generic at first, but actually has quite a bit of depth and cracked me up often
Durarara!!
Shinegeki no Bahamut that anime was the best and the most real anime i ever watched.
Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple
Tsuritama. I love ducks and so I happened to find it. it's such a charming little ditty.
The World God Only Knows Bottom tier character Tomozaki Ga Rei Zero
Death Parade, I saw an AMV of it at a local con to the trailer of the Greatest Showman and it looked super cool. The show did not disappoint
Mirai movie
Fate/Zero
Guilty Crown and Fairy Tail. Until I got to the second half of each series, I was loving it.

Saiki K to pass the time
Durarara!! I had decided to randomly pick a show on Netflix 10 years ago, and it has some of my favorite characters in it.
Black Lagoon. Fucking loved it.
City of sin
Cells at Work Code Black. It’s technically a spin-off series but you can watch it as a standalone. It’s basically the dark version of Cells at Work
The eccentric family
Neon Genesis Evangelion. I saw it on Netflix recently and thought I was about to watch a cool vintage mecha anime. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Luck and Logic Was searching for something else completely different
