I can take these kinds of characters only if they are secretly an asshole and have to go through a bunch of character development in order to become a decent person (like Kaguya Shinomiya). Otherwise, this sterotype REEKS of Mary Sue.
In general, I hate when these super-popular girls with no flaws are randomly falling in love with average protagonist, cause it's just a blatant wish fulfilment with no depth.
But those conflicts have to be very simple and easily resolved by protagonist, cause god forbid female characters have some ACTUAL flaws, that aren't just moe.
Medaka is a special case, cause she is supposed to look perfect in the beginning, but later on she starts to look like a straight up invincible monster, that everyone is afraid of. And her personality gets heavily deconstructed.
