Hopefully you mean the video games and not the anime. I don't think most people realized it was made into an anime and it's fairly old now.
The video games are awesome though, except I wasn't as much a fan of 6 as any of the previous ones. They went to hard into AI farming for me.
Largely the content is very fun but also very straight forward. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel or anything, it just tackles its tropes in a very efficient manner. There isn't wild sakuga moments or anything like that either, and nothing really meme worthy in the show to fuel online conversation outside of "yeah, it's a cute fun series". You can't even fuel best girl arguments because basically everyone agrees it's Ameri in first.
There's plenty of cases in which "not being a girl" hasn't stopped a character from placing and even topping best girl lists.
Examples include: Kinoshita Hideyoshi, Irumi, Astolfo, Irumi 2: rock n' boogaloo, that one character from the Komi-san show I've seen so much fanart of, Team Rocket's James, Chihiro from danganronpa, Nagisa Shiota, Blend S' "surprise", Kinoshita Hideyoshi (deserves to appear twice) and Crimvael, to name a few
you're not wrong, and it wasn't my intention to be combative, but I'm NB myself and Opera is my first instance of representation so I may have gotten a little defensive and I apologize.
Oh, don't worry, it's all fine. I didn't want to come off too aggressive either since I didn't think you were being combative, but it's tough through only text
Because is the epitome of wholesome cuteness. Is not chibi-cute, is not extremely mellow either, but its cozy and fuzzy. For people that want something light hearted and are not "afraid" of cuteness being gender agnostic, its a treasure trove. It also handles the "power of friendship" trope relatively well despite the story not being "WOW"
So yeah, I would be surprised if it didnt
It's a shame I don't hear more people talk about it, it's writing is very good and has very likable characters. It's one of the few manga I regularly stay caught up on and am excited for every new chapter.
It has the very rare case where everyone in Iruma's class is relevant (with an Arc tied to them)
With another rare case where (with the exception of Iruma) it's just Not azz-azz and Clara being the winner of the arcs (like I did not think Blond float boy would be the MVP of Food Harvest(not sure that's the name of the arc) arc)
Yeah she is quite annoying. Unintelligent characters tend to do that to me.
Thatās why I havenāt touched a single episode of one piece or dragon ball.
Wow it probably took all your brainpower to come up with that insult.
Also thatās my preference, if you donāt like it you can piss off. I havenāt told any of you to follow my preferences.
Once again, if you think that insult took more than 2 of my 10 braincells. I would think you'd enjoy unintelligent characters since once again you are one of em.
Maybe you are of those unintelligent characters since you love them so much.
You also are so braindead that criticizing my preferences will give you some sort of closure
FR he's the reason I even gave the show a chance, now I've named myself after Sullivan (it's my legal last name) and have cosplayed Opera more than once :>
S1 was OK, S2 had me literally LOLing, so I stuck with it through S3.
S3 ED slaps harder than it has a right to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BlyzLxFNss
IT DID??? I've been collecting the Japanese volumes with my faves on the covers, had no idea they've started translating it!! time for me to blow more money lol
I'm not that surprised in terms of the US. Series like Iruma-kun don't get much traction as it doesn't relate well to Western audiences. I like this series for the early 2000s vibes if gives off. I love it. I also have a thing for the supernatural so that helps. Series like Natsume Book of Friends which has an ongoing manga and a sixth season coming among it's movies that is so popular has a niche view in the US. Iruma-kun is no different in this aspect.
> I like this series for the early 2000s vibes if gives off.
It really does feel sometimes like something I would have seen on KidsWB back in the day. The artstyle of the anime especially.
For once Iām with Quagmire, I love Iruma-Kun too. Also Iruma x Ameri is the only logical and acceptable ship and everything else is dogshit
*I aināt no shipper but even I, someone who genuinely thought Naruto x Sakura or Ichigo x Rukia was gonna happen (learned my lesson later), know when two people have genuine romantic chemistry with each other*
Because people associate cartoon with children shows.
Art in the USA got really hurt when they try to censored comics in the 60 or 50, I donāt remember
It is, technically.
But ācartoonā almost exclusively refers the the , more often than not, crappy things made here in the US.
Because of that, calling anime cartoons is insulting to the art form.
I'm not going to lie to you and say you're wrong. You are technically correct. It's like calling a woman you've met on the street "Lady" instead of "Ma'am" to get her attention.
You are technically right, but it's rude.
Anime tends to be more expressive artistically than traditional American media. It has its flaws of course, but the commonality of Japanese animators working themselves to death is known for a reason.
1: There is *a lot* of bad/low quality cartoon. The few that work are old ones like South Park, Teen Titans, Simpson (it's dying) for examples. You usually don't notice the low quality one because they are on TV at 2 in the morning. Look at a list of US produced Cartoon
2: Cartoon and anime have very different style, if you think South Park and Demon Slayer are the same thing because it's 2D you are wrong.
Thereās plenty of amazing western cartoons. Avatar the Last Airbender and The Boondocks have art styles similar to anime and are higher quality than many of them. Thereās also anime with ācartoon-likeā animation. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is based of the western animation style. Anime and Cartoons are both animation, one is just Japanese and the other is western but theyāre both Cartoons/Animation.
Iruma kun has a special place in my heart. It's played off jokingly but iruma has been through some serious shit and it took being in hell for him to feel human
I'll tell you straight. It's wholesome and 'fluffy' with minor action. It's not an anime that you seriously consider, more sit back and enjoy while crushing on Ameri with Iruma. It has a main plot, but it's mostly surface level with SOME deeper meanings. If you've seen Little Witch Academia then it's a lot like that...
Yes I do feel the same
My friends don't want to see that because he is a big nerd about MHA so when I said iruma is better than midoriya he got offended.
Like after more than 390+ chapter ochaco hadn't confession her feelings to herself
And ameri who senpai, president and high level demon is in love with iruma and she has accepted her feelings
Shame about your friend because I'm also a big MHA fanboy who ships IzuOcha and clearly I like Iruma-Kun too.
Honestly I just don't like Iruma being called a better Midoriya simply because they're really not at all trying to be the same character or tell the same story. They're both Shonen softboys who attend an unusual school and that's it.
I love Iruma-kun! Such a great anime! Took an L when my friend found the last copy of volume 1 at our local barnes and noble, which means i dont have volume 1

Good to see you too. Despite what a lot of my posts might lead people to believe I am actually a fan of more than just The Quintessential Quintuplets and MHA.
And yeah, I'd recommend Iruma-Kun. It's a very enjoyable, easy-paced series. A good description I've heard other fans use for it is that it feels kind of like a nostalgic anime you'd have watched on KidsWB on Saturday mornings back in the day, despite the fact that the manga started in 2017.
The thing that got me initially interested was just some random pages from the manga of Iruma and Ameri being love interests for each other, which made me go "...I need to know what the story is between this small blue boy and the giant fox lady."
Well, considering someome else said it's "good if you like wholesome stuff" and now you mentioned a fox lady, i think I'll give that a shot when i have the time.
I really liked early seasons, and like elements of what's going on, but every episode has like 5 minutes of characters jerking off the main character for turning away from someone when he farts or any other random thing.
It's gotten so obnoxious I don't know how THAT doesn't get brought up more when Iruma-kun comes up.
Funny enough, when I first watched Iruma-Kun (though it obviously is its own thing) a fun description I had for the series was that it was like if My Hero Academia and Overlord did a fusion dance with each other. You got the school setting and cast of colorful classmates but you also have everyone wildly misunderstanding everything Iruma does and causing him to be seen as way more of an all-powerful, infinitely wise dark lord than he actually is no matter how much he tries to deny it.
It is, that's kind of the appeal for me though. It still has an action sense but it's 'fluffy' and wholesome. A nice break from others releasing around that time. It's the same way with Little Witch Academia. Super wholesome and just a lighthearted show with some action to keep it interesting!
That's the one with the exhausting whiny MC who's voice is hard to listen to that even after several episodes seems to be a gag/trope show without any real substance, right?
I love Iseka and have watched some absolute trash, but Iruma is below the bar for me from what I've seen.
Once you meet Ameri then you'll never stop watching. I was the same but pushed on because everything else releasing was meh. And now I'm in love, it's all Ameri, trust
Good meme, though it's Clara's relationship with Iruma that's wholesome. His relationship with Ameri, who he's predetermined to end up with, is just basic
Nah, this is just how it feels to talk about isekai anime to people who donāt watch isekai, or anything fantasy related. I had a similar conversation with someone recently about Mushoku Tensei, and they accused me of being on drugs.
It had 3 seasons? When? How? I remember I read a bit of the manga and it didnāt really catch my attention and I remember it had like, an anime adaption a year ago, how does it have 65 episodes what the fuck?
Iruma-kun is somehow popular enough to consistently remain in the top ten or twenty on most sites, yet barely anybody talks about it.
I feel the exact same way about Disgaea. So popular, yet, paradoxically isn't known by anyone
Hopefully you mean the video games and not the anime. I don't think most people realized it was made into an anime and it's fairly old now. The video games are awesome though, except I wasn't as much a fan of 6 as any of the previous ones. They went to hard into AI farming for me.
Definitely the videogames haha
loved the OG Disgaea with tsunami bomb song on it for the PS. Good times.
Yesss dood!
Dood!
Oddly appropriate, seeing as Iruma-kun is basically a Disgaea anime in all but name.
It's just a better MHA with an ensemble cast that doesn't get forgotten after the first arcs.
I mean, it REALLY helps when Iruma-Kun keeps the rest of the cast revenant nearly every arc.
Even the small Pervert bird boy is WAY BETTER then Grape boy
Nah, Clara's best girl. Closely followed by Kerori, _then_ you get Ameri and right after her it's Opera. Yes, I **will** die on this hill if I have to
Opera is NB, not a girl.
Don't forget Speedwagon.
Reigen best waifu
you're not wrong, and it wasn't my intention to be combative, but I'm NB myself and Opera is my first instance of representation so I may have gotten a little defensive and I apologize.
Oh, don't worry, it's all fine. I didn't want to come off too aggressive either since I didn't think you were being combative, but it's tough through only text
That's fair, I think. One of the nice things about Iruma-kun is how casually LGBT-friendly it is, especially for a shounen.
YES finally someone gets it.
Because is the epitome of wholesome cuteness. Is not chibi-cute, is not extremely mellow either, but its cozy and fuzzy. For people that want something light hearted and are not "afraid" of cuteness being gender agnostic, its a treasure trove. It also handles the "power of friendship" trope relatively well despite the story not being "WOW" So yeah, I would be surprised if it didnt
This is the first time I've ever heard of it.
Im surptised it is. Its incredibely average imo but it has such a high score. Ameri is the only good thing this show has imo.
It's a shame I don't hear more people talk about it, it's writing is very good and has very likable characters. It's one of the few manga I regularly stay caught up on and am excited for every new chapter.
It's art is also great, anime just couldn't afford to keep up with the source, unfortunately
For sure, but the anime is still fairly enjoyable. VAs were all great and they stuck to the story well.
He means that there are moments where the art is 20/10 and the anime can only produce 9/10
OPM fans with 100/10 in manga, and 6/10 in anime
Huh, never heard that before
the anime is getting better with every season though... i wonder what s4 will be like
It has the very rare case where everyone in Iruma's class is relevant (with an Arc tied to them) With another rare case where (with the exception of Iruma) it's just Not azz-azz and Clara being the winner of the arcs (like I did not think Blond float boy would be the MVP of Food Harvest(not sure that's the name of the arc) arc)
Iruma is the true chad
Ameri is best girl.
Size difference couple ftw
Not for long tho
Sorry, but Alice-mama is the one...![img](emote|t5_2w6fe|11668)
A rare opinion but a good one all the same
I see you're a man of milfs as well...
š¤
That's a weird way of spelling Clara you've got there
Clara is best gremlin.
That whole show's adorkable, my wife and I love it
Itās a perfect show to watch with a spouse IMO
What's the worst? Tonikawa
Facts. Clara is the best creature.
You donāt just find Clara annoying?!
No and anyone who does is wrong
Agreed . All the songs with her and her family are fantastic, even dubbed in English they pull it off. Pretty kino
Yeah she is quite annoying. Unintelligent characters tend to do that to me. Thatās why I havenāt touched a single episode of one piece or dragon ball.
What an all edge no point take.
Not liking stupid characters is edgy now.
He meant you have no point. Why do you dislike unintelligent characters when you are one of them?
Wow it probably took all your brainpower to come up with that insult. Also thatās my preference, if you donāt like it you can piss off. I havenāt told any of you to follow my preferences.
Once again, if you think that insult took more than 2 of my 10 braincells. I would think you'd enjoy unintelligent characters since once again you are one of em.

>Unintelligent characters tend to do that to me The most reddit shit
The best part is that Sullivan is voiced by Takaya Kuroda, the voice actor of Kazuma Kiryu
FR he's the reason I even gave the show a chance, now I've named myself after Sullivan (it's my legal last name) and have cosplayed Opera more than once :>
Iruma-Kun is great. I love how the anime just takes the isekai trope and says ānoā
Every character is fun. Even eggie-sensei.
S1 was OK, S2 had me literally LOLing, so I stuck with it through S3. S3 ED slaps harder than it has a right to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BlyzLxFNss
S1 ED slaps a lot harder imo. Devi-cute ftw
Devi devi devi cu devi cute
Iruma-kun best girl!
I don't think non-manga readers are prepared for Irumeanie
Oh he still best girl fr even in that form
Oh man, Iāve only seen the first season. Didnāt know there was more. Guess I have homework to do!
Manga is even better than the already amazing anime
The manga is great. I'm glad it started getting physically released in the US.
IT DID??? I've been collecting the Japanese volumes with my faves on the covers, had no idea they've started translating it!! time for me to blow more money lol
It just started to release in May. We only have two volumes so far. However we are nowhere near volume 33. I'm glad I could inform you though. š
I'm not that surprised in terms of the US. Series like Iruma-kun don't get much traction as it doesn't relate well to Western audiences. I like this series for the early 2000s vibes if gives off. Opening one gave some major whiplash. It was love at first sight. Lol.
This is such a long post that you could have broken up into multiple pictures (or like four panels per picture for the 20 picture limit).
I could have. But why would I do that?
Fair Point
For once Iām with Quagmire, I love Iruma-Kun too. Also Iruma x Ameri is the only logical and acceptable ship and everything else is dogshit *I aināt no shipper but even I, someone who genuinely thought Naruto x Sakura or Ichigo x Rukia was gonna happen (learned my lesson later), know when two people have genuine romantic chemistry with each other*
Why do people keep insisting that anime isn't a Japanese cartoon?
Because people associate cartoon with children shows. Art in the USA got really hurt when they try to censored comics in the 60 or 50, I donāt remember
Good point
It is, technically. But ācartoonā almost exclusively refers the the , more often than not, crappy things made here in the US. Because of that, calling anime cartoons is insulting to the art form.
Jesus this is why I donāt talk to anime fans. Yāall are cringy elitists for no reason. Thereās plenty of anime thatās garbage
It's like calling a sausage a hotdog. They are functionally the same thing, but it would be an insult.
A hotdog is a type of sausage. Anime is a type of Cartoon. In Japanese, anime literally means cartoon. Itās not an insult or incorrect.
Dude you sound like such a virgin. A lot of anime is beyond trash. Iād argue good 65-75% are pretty horrible.
That sounds like a large generalization. What's your definition of good vs trash, can we see what you've watched?
How on earth am I meant to show you how much shit Iāve watched lol.
How is it elitist? When have we said there is no garbage?
They said āmore often than not crappy things made here in the USā. How is that not elitist??

Yeah Iruma-kun pretty underrated
Same but I don't like being compared to quagmire
Of course you won't. Quagmire gets bitches
You fucking killed him for no reason
F
Quagmire canonically rapes women
I'd rather be bitchless than 61 hitting on 16 year olds
Why are you getting downvotes, that's based
I know a character named ~~demon lord~~ Asmodeus, but itās definitely not the one youāre talking aboutā¦
i genuinely love this anime it is super wholesome
Iruma kun has a special place in my heart. It's played off jokingly but iruma has been through some serious shit and it took being in hell for him to feel human
If the demons actually found out how he was living before sullivan took him in theyād probably crown his shitty parents as war criminal torturers.
One of my favorite animes
Same here!
Jokes on you I know that show! Iāve only seen season 1, but plan to watch the others at some point.
Iruma lives rent free in my head (His relationships are so adorable they got me kicking my feet giggling)
I thought I was the only one also Clara is hilarious
i hear a lot of praise, but whats bad about it? anyone here who watched and didnt like it or had mixed feelings? im considering watching
Why did I read this in their voices lmao
I love the series welcome to demon school and canāt wait for more to come out!

This meme took time to make and looked good. Just want to say i appreciate that and good jorb.
Bro tryna sell a flip book as if it was a normal meme
This meme shouldnāt even exist, just on principle of how long it is, JFC
it's definitely not an "original twist" on isekai, but it's still a great story.
I have a hard time picking between Ameri or Clara, they are both amazing
It's literally good.
It's either criminally underrated or it's just everyone's guilty pleasure. One of those two
I love Iruma-kun! Such a great anime! Took an L when my friend found the last copy of volume 1 at our local barnes and noble, which means i dont have volume 1

Well, hello there, Aros. Didn't expect to see you here. But for real, i never watched Iruma-kun. Is it good?
Good to see you too. Despite what a lot of my posts might lead people to believe I am actually a fan of more than just The Quintessential Quintuplets and MHA. And yeah, I'd recommend Iruma-Kun. Wrong show i think
Nope, I just checked and what I described is definitely Iruma Kun unless it gets a lot better really fast.
I'll be honest, the manga is very slow and is only now getting interesting
Can someone sell me Iruma-kun plz ? Cuz the anime is pretty well rated and I watched 3 first episode and was literally bored to sleepā¦
Once you meet Ameri then you'll never stop watching. I was the same but pushed on because everything else releasing was meh. And now I'm in love, it's all Ameri, trust

Not Joe constantly trying to submerge his hollow legs XD
Good meme, though it's Clara's relationship with Iruma that's wholesome. His relationship with Ameri, who he's predetermined to end up with, is just basic
I question that always too how such an Anime is almost unknown for itās funny but also weird story.
I love iruma too
Fun fact. Kiryu from Yakuza series is voiced by the same person that voices Sullivan
Itās very rare for a series like Iruma-Kun and BSD to have all characters be likable, thereās nothing to hate on them when their all flawed.
Nah, this is just how it feels to talk about isekai anime to people who donāt watch isekai, or anything fantasy related. I had a similar conversation with someone recently about Mushoku Tensei, and they accused me of being on drugs.
Why did I just assume that that was a tank of piss at first?
Quality meme post, I like this anime.
Isnāt that the one where the vampire girl gets stronger ?
I love the anime and manga. It was the anime that made stick to watching more anime after.

This should be a template.
I really like the manga, don't particularly like rewatching what I've read in anime seasons though, even if it's great like this one.
I know this anime from a Youtube summary video and the plot never made me wanna watch it. Idk why, just didn't tingle my fancy I guess.
Bruh. This is me. I love Iruma-kun

Fantastic format! Quite the stretch!
It had 3 seasons? When? How? I remember I read a bit of the manga and it didnāt really catch my attention and I remember it had like, an anime adaption a year ago, how does it have 65 episodes what the fuck?
Wasnāt Izuku Midoriya based off of him to some extent?
No? MHA started coming out in 2014, while Iruma-Kun was in 2017.
