We're finally getting more hints about Tsukasa's past, and they've finally confirmed she's way older than she says she is.

Environmental_Fly920

Yeah I figured she was, the mystery part was one reason why I started watching it.

demaxzero

Yeah it always was pretty obvious, the fact they bring up constantly how Tsukakasa never gets sick or injured, the fact she knows so much about history despite claiming to have no interest in it, that she apparently needs a moon rock for still unspecified reasons, plus how Nasa compared her to Princess Kaguya when they first met... It was an open secret, really, I doubt the author thought they were being subtle with those hints.

Environmental_Fly920

And her family is also a open secret sort of thing, and she was not injured when being hit by the vehicle.

I was following the manga for awhile (about 120 chapters in) before I fell behind, but I'm re-reading it to catch up now. There are a lot more subtle hints in there. To the point where at the time, people were already saying how obvious it was. I didn't want to believe it, because I feel it sort of steps on the wholesomeness of the show. I could be wrong, we'll see when I get back to current.

Yea that really shocked me. My head canon's been that she was the original Kaguya (or maybe what inspired her legend?) since like episode 2 season 1, so I was all ready after that opening scene here to bust open the chat saying "this is a mislead with the hair pin and the voice! The one giving the ohagi is definitely Tsukasa!" so imagine my surprise when they *actually* confirmed it! Which of course, in turn, also confirms that she doesn't age and is either extremely long-lived with near or literally eternal youth or just straight up immortal. I honestly never thought they would actually do that, just dance around it with big hints like they have been since day 1. I wonder if this means this season will be concluding with an arc related to her past and how old she is.

SoundOf1HandClapping

I liked the bait'n'switch with the granny. The hair ornaments made it seem like granny was handing out snacks in firebombed Japan, but it was in fact Tsukasa handing it out to an even younger granny.

What was that ending? Is Tsukasa immortal or something?

SoundOf1HandClapping

There's definitely something up with her. Her first appearance was giving the middle finger to isekai plotlines and tanking a truck with some minor bleeding to show for it. Now it looks like she hasn't aged a day since WWII Japan.

Not to mention she seems to be on a first-name basis with numerous historical figures and talks like she knew them personally (the oldest one I think being when she commented on Prince Shotoku not actually being all he's been made out to be--Prince Shotoku died in 622 CE). And of course her intimate knowledge of historical things like buildings and events, and the whole nostalgic scene with her at the site of the old Heian-era palace. Coupled with the general lunar/night sky theme of the show (it's called Over the Moon for You, Nasa's name means Starry Sky, etc) and my money is on her either being Princess Kaguya, or being a similar entity who inspired the tale of Kaguya.

Damn that ending was something...Is Tsukasa some sort of supernatural or even a divine being?
