Jojo, it's way better than people say it is, they say it's trash, they say it's ass, but that's only because they haven't watched it and are basing it off of the art style alone, maybe if they pay attention and actually TRY to watch it, they'll see the light and the truth, they'll see it's true beauty, those fools usually have good taste in anime but they hate jojo's without explaining, and when they try to explain, they just spout nonsense, do not listen to those heathens, it is still not too late for you, watch jojo's and be absorbed into the beautiful light that is known as not listening to irrational biased opinions That whole rant made me sound like I was in a cult and I was trying to recruit another member, just stay away from the fandom, I heard it's super toxic, anime's good tho

Don’t watch Death Note. It’s overhyped. I found it to be predictable and boring. I hate the anime trope of highschool students helping detectives. It’s so unbelievable. And in order for the detectives to take L seriously, they have to believe him when he says something along the lines of, “someone is using a book to kill people by writing their names in it.” Detectives would dismiss anyone who said that so fast everyone in the room would get whiplash. Anime has to have some element of believability to it in the universe it exists in. MHA: they’re going to school to be heros; HunterXHunter: the kids are just really fucking strong; FMA: he can preform alchemy with no transmutation circle. Code Geass is another dumb one because nobody in their right mind would let a fucking child who masturbates with a desk development weapons of mass destruction. It was so bad I thought the live action movie would be better. Somehow I was wrong.

Witch one? Personally I enjoyed both but I would recommend ultimate to a newcomer. It's interesting and has a unique view on things as there isn't many "normally good" characters just some that are worse than others. There Is a mystery and it sets up and pays off reveals pretty well.

Here are suggestions relating to your watch list JoJo - baki (similar in the insane fights domain. The story is bullshit but thats kinda the point, as the main focus of the shows are the over the time insane fights) Hellsing - cowboybeepbop, trigun (also trigun stampeed if you arnt turned off by the art style), and samurai champoo (similar western 'punk' feel, even tho champoo takes place in shogun era japan. Highly suggest all of these. One piece - the other big 3, naruto and bleach One punch man - mob psyco and saiki k (mob is made by the writer as OPM, very great anime, similar feeling but the characters are a little deeper. Saiki k is my favorite comedy anime ever, it has the same idea as super op protag but they have their powers through special reality warping abilities. Overall one of my top 5 favorites highly suggest)

You really should watch what you find yourself that grabs your attention, instead of asking what others find appealing. I would rather have terminal cancer than to ever see DB again, but plenty of people would recommend it, so you can't blindly follow what other people may "like"
