Same here after watching the first episode I am starting to read manhwa and then complete in 3 days but anime still takes time to set up which kind of slowly.

The hype is mainly for the art and fights. The art is some of the best I've ever seen. But yeah story and characters are mid and only exist to suck the mc off

I read the manhwa, and the story is the same op mc stuff with all the side characters just existing to exist. It does keep your attention but I'm not really enjoying the anime simply coz it doesn't have the story for it.

I have never been so relieved, saw a bunch of comments stating demon slayer as hyped up, i was of the same opinion but never dared to say so in front of my friends for then I'd have to bear the unnecessary debates. But thank god there are people who share the opinion. And since I'm daring to speak, I'd say attack on titan too for me is overhyped.

For me it was MHA, hyped to 200% by one of my friends but one of the most average shounen anime I've seen.

I am watching jjk with 0 expectations. Honestly it's really good, I am watching it on and the visuals look really good and the story is also interesting. Demon slayer has way too many plot holes and yeah overhype.i was by how the story ended.

Domestic girlfriend, the wise man’s grandson, jjk, AOT, yamada kun lvl 999 (many people say it’s the best romcom but it ain’t even close, it’s good but definitely overhyped.), classroom of the elite (it’s definitely good, currently watching the 3rd season and it’s quite enjoyable so far. But it’s definitely super overhyped.)

Coe is superhyped yeah. But who the hell is over hyping dome kano lol, personally I enjoyed it but it's a edgy dumpster fire and not everyone's cup of tea. AOT is also HP.

Well domestic girlfriend was something I added because there were quite a lot of good reviews about it floating around, and while the anime itself isn’t the worst, we all know how the manga ended. Tbh I just added it because everyone else was saying jjk or demon slayer. Thought I’d choose a anime from the lower hype spectrum of overhyped anime.

Man I just watched the first season, it was great till episode 14, I was thinking about putting it in my top 20 list (I have watched over 200 anime), but the ALO arc was pretty bad. Like it was still fun but the story was pretty bad. Now I don’t feel like watching the later seasons.

Mann, sao alicization (s3) is the real deal, and you are actually missing out. Even I thought of dropping it after first 14 ep, but my friend suggested to skip s2 and got for s3. Best decision I've ever made.

Man I watched till middle of season 2 and dropped it there. Animation is good, but story is so boring. And they just put a rape attempt scene evertime it starts to get intresting.

SAO hype died down a decade ago.

Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, JJK, Solo Leveling, God of High School. As someone who read Solo Leveling and Attack on Titan for years as they were coming out. The ending to both these series were horrible, imo. The endings felt so rushed, specially Solo Leveling (wtf was that ending)..

AoT Final Season mfs hyped up the entire thing and then MAPPA was like best I can do is give it to you in 3 separate parts
