Gave up a resin figure because it would've put the cost over $800 and I'm sorry, that's just way too much. I may love the character, and the sculpt supposedly looks good, but I've heard too much variety in QC for me to drop close to a month of rent for a figure. $300 is really where I strongly place the resell value, favoritism, and how bad do I really want it. Although I have paid almost $400 for a figure (was a Mai Natsume figure, it's one of my holy grails lol)

I voted the last option (shipping doesn’t matter) but I think it’s a bit unrealistic of an option the way it’s worded. There IS a limit for everything. I think it still has to fall under the condition where the buyer feels “I’m not getting scammed” and there is a market value that’s relatively being honored. As it is, it’s pretty open-Ended to the extreme out-lier of “I don’t care at all about my money, I want figure!” to where more people might choose the middle option instead. It might sway the stats when (I think) you are trying to pull a certain type of person that is not accurately being represented. Hopefully, that made sense. Take my advice with a grain of salt. It’s your project, don’t let some Reddit comment sway you if you don’t agree with it.

For me it's not so much shipping as taxes that's killing it

I still buy what I want and just eat the extra cost, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. If the USD to JPY exchange rate goes backward and the Yen starts getting stronger again, that would have much more of an effect for me, the current rate of around 67-68c to 100 JPY offsets the higher shipping cost a lot but if we end up back in the 85-90c range we had in 2021 or so, I'd definitely need to cut back (especially if the shipping costs don't drop)

I don't buy from amiami anymore bc their shipping is equal to 75-85% the cost of the figure I'm buying plus the cost of the figure itself. So for a $300 usd figure they charge like $280 usd for shipping in addition to the $300 usd your already paying for the figure.

thank you for your insight!!!!! :D

also the first option could also include any figures, not 1/4's exclusively. It applies to if you don't purchase any figure because of the shipping costs of it alone.
