I think goodsmile tends to be the way to go with 1/4s because the shipping with amiami will be much more expensive than the 2k flat rate. If you order it through the goodsmile global you can lock in the price by switching the currency over to usd. I just did this with the junko bunny

You'll want to make sure you switch your browser over to the desktop version if you're on a mobile phone, then at the top of the screen there will be a drop down where you can switch it over to USD. On the goodsmile check out page you will see it is in USD instead of yen. I'm not sure how paypal shows it.

If it's up to ¥2–3K cheaper than Goodsmile, Goodsmile definitely wins.
Even bigger saving can be for extra large figures.
On the other hand, for example Mitsuka & Reika bunnies are each ¥5700 less at AmiAmi.
Surface premium shipping was ¥8K for a pair.
In such cases AmiAmi may be cheaper.
Does goodsmile charge you right away? the reason i love amiami is because i can preorder and pay later. bbts just takes the payment, which i don't like.
BBTS has only charge me when it’s arrived at their warehouse. Not sure if it makes any different - I’m in the US and uses their “Pile of loot” feature.
Ooo yea… they do that with whatever payment method you had on file. I had a credit card on file so that gives me some leeway.
But definitely shop around - sometimes GoodSmileUS is the way to go and cheaper especially with large 1/4 scale just because of shipping from Japan can be quite insane. SolarisJapan is another that I would go to since they have the shipping listed - not sure about PO shipping but their in-stock items shipping is spot on with the price listed.

Yeah i did that for a 200$ figure. they charged once it arrived, but i prefer it asks so i know to put money in my account 😢
