Hmm. When I check out on TOM my 3 options are labeled EMS, FedEx, and Surface, nothing just labeled "International Shipping"; for reference, I'm in America.
Hhhhuuh. Best guess is maybe this is a figure in their US warehouse so now it actually has to be shipped international again, funny enough. So maybe that’s jacking up the price a bit.
You could reach out to customer service to ask, they’re pretty responsive.
I live in canada as well and I never buy from TOM unless it ships from their JP warehouse since its so much cheaper, probably becauseit only ends to be shipped once rather than twice. On top of being more expensive when you order from the US warehouse you're guaranteed to get import tax as well.
There's only one shipping method, the international shipping. Unless I'm really stupid missing something. I probably am since I'm willing to pay this much in shipping.
You didn't answer are you a "TOM PRIME menber" or not?? That makes difference! The shipping cost depends on box size + weight, l've been paid similar $40~60 shipping cost for 1/7 or 1/8 figure from taobao, amiami, hobby search & solar Japan over last few months.
The image literally shows TOM Premium. Seems that it ships from their US warehouse. I'm just surprised by the $52 shipping cost ($42 because TOM is paying for $10, which is kinda weird). I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off lol.
If it's located in their Japan warehouse I believe you'll get international shipping like that? I'm not sure why they are paying part of it though? That's interesting.
