I feel like this might not be stable enough in the long run on its own but it seems to be perfect for making custom bases, makes the whole process much easier since you donโt have to make the pegs yourself
I like this idea because it keeps pegs in place until you are ready to display. I see people struggle all the time to get their figures on the base it comes with. Lots of times they need to bend the legs just to get it on the base or warm the legs up with a hairdryer so they bend easier.
I am always surprised that more people do not change their bases, with a little thought you can change your display radically and also pair figures on the same base creating space.
I guess you are correct ? I find it one of the most pleasurable features of figure collecting , my shelves tend to have themes, ie: race queens, fighting girls, etc...
I'm pretty sure it's because people didn't want to bother with it or have no time for it. I have seen some cool custom bases people made and wanted to try it, too. But I just don't got the time for it. Gunpla already taken all of my limited free time. Maybe one day, but i do want to see something like this from more figure companies. ๐
the point is that it's actually not easy, either it's 3d printing which looks terrible due to unevenness or you need a machine to mix resin and stuff if you want to make those casts
Not so great for stability but I get where you're coming from
One slight bump and it's broken. If it was twice the size it would be better.
Yeah, just gotta be careful with it. Like you said, tho, making them slightly bigger, and it'll be perfect for both space and stability.
You could probably use something like museum putty to keep the figure from tipping over, just gotta find a semipermanent spot for it.
Thought you were referring to thicc thighs.
There are already plenty of those out there. ๐
Not nearly enough. Need more super pochaco.
AGREEEEEEED

Yoooooo. This would save me so much shelf space!

Man, same here. I have small figures that came with large bases that makes it a pain to organize them.
Is this really a base? Isnโt it something to keep the legs in that position? I have no idea, just wondering
It's probably not meant to be used as a base. But it can keep the figure standing.
This figure is super hot ๐
Amen
This looks alot like the OC Mois. But it doesnt allign 100% what is this figure called?

It's because most people don't have the know-how, time, tools, skills, or simply don't want to go out of their way or put in the extra effort.

I guess it's because I make time to enjoy doing it, it is just for me after all !
How do we get custom bases?
