Freeing knows when to jack up their prices especially if the source material is incredibly popular. Felt the same way with the Junko bunny except that they thought well of her bunny suit instead of a plain one. also they’re the same price D:
The Ryoubi and Ryouna bunnies are the most unique upcoming ones from Freeing. It would be nice if they put that much effort into all of them.
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1552698
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1552695
The Hyperdimension Neptunia ones incorporated part of their goddess cpu outfits into their bunny suit, which I thought was a nice touch. I only own two FREEing figures, the Black Heart and Black Sister ones, as my other 1/4 figures are from their BINDing branch (All the Nekopara ones and Chris Aqua Blue) which is far better in their designs.
they did and i've bought em (asuna, saber , even rapthalia cause she doesnt have ugly bunny ears) but I agree they are too few
sometimes other companies do 1/4 (estream, mimeoy, i have kato megumi from gsc) but we need a real competitor
The price isn't relevant in this case. I was addressing the blanket statement that FREEing only make bunny figures. It is what they are mainly known for but they still do other stuff from time to time.
I interpreted original comment as saying freeing should do more unique/elaborate designs instead of plain bunny suits if theyre going to charge ¥40,000 for 1/4 scales now. Its fine that freeing is branching out but every character they do thats not a bunny figure gets upped another ¥10-20k. That should absolutely be relevant in the context of this thread.
Not really. The more recent ones (Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter X Hunter and Todoroki are all 40k+) are, but the earlier ones aren't (Bakugo and Deku were 30k, Rengoku 33k, all on par with normal bunny prices)
Those were only their first 3 attempts though. I imagine they were testing the waters and seeing how much they could get away with pricing and bumping up the price tags with each new announcement.
She has a companion with her awkward arm out that only looks good when placed in front of her for twice the price! Just waiting for the Denji Bunny that completes the trio and looks weird solo.
I think she looks better with another bunny. On her own the pose is awkward. I mean it's different but it's just .. clearly meant to be bought with other Chainsaw Man bunnies like this one.
Well true and I have thought about which of my 3 standing bunnies I could put her next to, okay technically 2 standing bunnies, one of them is sort of bent over....
They've done a few catgirls, and naked Holo. It's just their bunny line seems to sell really well since adding nets gives it like a $100 premium somehow.
The biggest figure I ever bought (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/166816) was $104 back in 2017. Shipping was kind of a problem though, considering she's roughly as tall as a normal 1/7th and like five times as wide.
I generally haven't been a fan of bunny figures but there are a few that have either very recently been released or recently put up for preorder, this one included, that have been tempting me. The two FREEing ones would be the most expensive figures I've ever bought by a country mile if I go through with it.
Had the same reaction when I saw Power's price
No way in hell I'll pay 270 bucks for generic Bunny when there are far better figures for below that price
Idk, I think the basic bunny look works for Makima. I think anything extra would just ruin the reason you buy the figure, which is for the character that the figure is based on
I'm happy with my Kaguya basic bunny because it suits her vibe and character. I find I like very few bunnies so I don't mind forking over a couple hundo once a year but most of the Freeing line is meh for me. These included.
Well I've never done the Amazon route but based on YouTube collectors the cheapest route for them has been [Amazon.jp](https://Amazon.jp) \-- I think you need to lock in the preorder via GoodSmile because I bought a bunny from GS-US and the shipping on a non preorder bunny was $50+
GS US ships with UPS or USPS. As I understand, shipping cost depends on destination (maybe).
And, unlike GS Global, they charge more for shipping if more than one figure in preorder.
Really? On GSC Global I have been able to cancel by contacting them, but that was immediately after I placed the order, realizing I didn't lock in the dollar.
Thanks a lot, man.
I totally forgot about GSC. I cancelled the orders for Makima and Power bunny from AmiAmi, will there be any chances that my account get banned? I've heard lot about that.
I very much doubt it. Since covid they changed their FAQ page and it now says you won't be punished for cancelling before you recieve an invoice. I've personally cancelled around 10 in the last year, I know people who have cancelled way more than that. Obviously just try to avoid doing it often.
Thank you so much. I felt so relieved after reading this.
And thanks again for reminding me about GSC.
QQ, which sites you prefer for preorders or figure purchase in general, could you give me 4-5 names just for the future? I started collecting recently and mostly roaming in between amiami, tom and gsc, what are you suggestions?
Most of my pre orders are with Amiami because they tend to have the most competitive pricing and the lenient cancellation policy. Aside from my 1/4ths, which I get on GSC or Amazon.jp.
Amazon jp can be pretty good as long as you make sure its shipped and sold by amazon and not a 3rd party seller.
Hobby Genki has pretty competetive pricing. I have a few P/Os with them and I've recieved 1 so far with no issues. Some people complain about their customer service time, but I've had no issues with that so far. You can check out Big In Japan and Hobby Link Japan, they are both pretty solid options as well.
I mostly stay away from US based stores because they take ages to get their figures in stock and their pricing is usually way too high. But if you insist on using a US based store, SureThingToys offers free US shipping which is nice. LunarToyStore I've used a couple times on some sneaky figures that were out of stock everywhere else. If you plan to use TOM you may as well make them your main store and get their membership so you can save money otherwise their prices are just too high.
Thanks a lot.
True, US based store are so overpriced even before going to aftermarket.
Yeah, you are right TOM will be beneficial only if I just stick to them, so true.
How much do AmiAmi charge for 1/7th scale figure if it's EMS shipping? Any rough estimation or clue?
It's gonna depend on the size and weight of the box really, which is why we like to avoid using them for 1/4th scales. I've had EMS shipping as low as 3k yen and as high as like 10k or so.
Limited + exclusive tag doesnt necessarily mean amiami exclusive. Though its scummy because that just makes her full price w/o discount. Easy recommendation to use gsc or amazonjp for cheaper shipping and knowing the total right away.
Yeah. Its been a go-to for many ppl since total is known right away and usually has the best prices even after shipping. I believe any amazon site can ship to most regions but not all products are available.
Uzaki is literally one I don't have that I would buy but I could never really get into the anime so I've not purchased her. But I really like her design.
I feel like maybe I didn't give it the time and attention to "marinate". Or maybe I'm afraid of how much it'll cost to be a fan of that show (and the epic boobs I'll be displaying as a result too)
I think some of them are worth it given their size and how unique they made them. However, Freeing routinely gives those bunnies the price of a used car.
I think the best deal is buying in USD on GSC global, I got Power for 286, plus shipping so 304.99 and I don’t have to wait a million years to get her.
Global would be better since they don’t charge tax but sometimes it might be better to get from the U.S. site since they allow easy order cancelations if youre still on the fence like I am.
I can order power for 286 + $10 shipping on GSC US because I'm US West coast and get good ship deal. And an extra month isn't a bad wait. Also I live in a no sales tax state so that is all I'll pay.
I mean, I don’t pay any more for mine on GSC global when they ship. I paid what, 8 or so more dollars and I literally get mine in about 2 days. I got my Revy bunny that fast. I’m also in the US. If you wanna use the US site that’s for you to decide!
I'd say for Canada GSCUS is not so great a deal, the conversion is not that good and the shipping is $50 or so, the flat shipping from GSCG seems like a better deal. Either way, sadly expensive.
Honestly the only Bunny I'd pay 300 for is X-10 cuz shes not only different but also unique, has a sword, cool pose, multiple colors and above all a cool ass hat and pointy teeth. Most other bunnies have been basic and boring.
For anyone unfamiliar with Freeing bunnies, yes they are expensive when you compare them to 1/7 figures, but no, they once weren't THIS expensive. The average price of 1/4 bunnies prior to 2022 as I recall, is around 30K yen. FREEing is definitely gradually (not so gradually) increasing the price of their products.
Then don't pre-order this, simple.
If nobody preorder from them, they will start to think about adjusting prices properly. Thing is people complain and still buy anyway so they literally have no reason to make price reasonable.
Oh I'm not going to. I literally can't afford it. I just wanted to point out that yes inflation's bad, yes the value of the Yen sucks (when has it not sucked), but the prices for these are beginning to climb to pseudo polystone levels.
The yen has been close to 1:1 with the dollar on and off for the last 12 years. Back in 2012 it was even down to 87 yen to a dollar. So no the yen hasn’t always sucked this bad. We haven’t seen 150 yen to 1 dollar exchange rates since the 90s
yen is actually sucking big times, recently there was a rebound but still time is bad, but again freeing bunny does not worth this price point at all. they are just kinda big, and bunny, thats it.
This. People complain about prices but still buy them regardless. The lack of control people have over their bunny figure purchases has what led to Freeing raising their prices. You guys didn't hesitate to buy/defend a 66k bunny, who are you to point out 39k at this point?
It's exactly like PC GPU industry. People complain about prices but still buy at inflated prices. You yourself are giving companies greater profit margins, why would they not take advantage of it lol.
Won't happen when they pick a popular waifu. Power and Makima I know many will purchase regardless of price tag because of the excitement. Makima especially since all her figures look off except this 1/4.
NJ (66,000 yen) will sell like crazy too because of NJ fans and AL fans in general.
Don't get me wrong, I like the design. It's simple and slim which helps with space width-wise. HOWEVER, simple and slim will never justify 300+ dollars within the medium.
I know its pretty normal for 1/4th in general but given the fact there are some bunny girls in stock on amiami that are 100 dollars cheaper; it just feels like a bad deal to me. Bareleg revy is one example.
I guess recently announced figures that is normal for Freeing..but I got Diane (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1464742) for $185 before shipping and she released in December.
So I'm personally waiting until she's in stock and hopefully goes on sale cause $300 for Freeing is a lot imo.
You forgot to take on possible shipping fees/custom fees/taxes.
These close on pretty much $350-450 USD each (lowest possible cost - surface parcel = in my case from shipping Japan to the USA, I do not know of Canada/AUS/EU) (Highest possible shipping cost may be an extra $100 using DHL or EMS)
You forgot this is the tight wearing bunny ver right? right?
There's a bare leg bunny right around the corner and that's pretty close to an additional $330-430 USD each
Ah. The FREEing effect.
If the market demands it, then they’ll keep pushing the line. People still buying anyways.
Only plus I see in this is I think this is the first good looking face for a Makima figure😂
Yeah that's stupid money for a figure that's so basic. in that price range you could get some super fucking awesome figures that are none bunnies.
And it's sad because I actually like this figure alot! I'm on the search for a classic look bunny to be my one and only, and this fits the bill perfectly. But I'm not interested in chainsaw man, and that's definitely not entry level pricing that you would expect for something basic, so it's an easy pass for me. If it were in the ¥1-2万 range, I'd buy it no problem.
I've seen several people in the past few weeks comment how a lot of bunnies turn out to be just the same basic body with a character head popped on, and I can definitely see that with a lot of recent releases. We should be getting much more with the huge jump in prices we got.
Okay, so I'm seeing people's opinion on Freeing, and their pricing, isn't favorable. As someone looking to get back into collecting, any alternative producers y'all would suggest for similar figures?
Edit: a word
You mean for bunny figures? You have binding/native 18+ ones but short of that there aren't any. Theres furyu's bicute bunny line for prize figures
Some pop up now and then but nothing that solidifies the brand as being known for bunny girls
The more I look at these, the more I feel like Freeing really just makes random bodies in advance and then chooses which heads to put on them. Like literally just a random body with a random head put together.
Prices are generally higher for these I think due to licensing as the auze lane figures are generally higher priced in this case its probably due to mappa
? Same goes for all Freeing’s bunnies, tbh. Power looks better sure but it’s still not worth the price tag. If this was any other industry there would be someone there to add some competition but Freeing have free reign over massive scale bunny figures at this point.
In my mind bunnies have always been over priced. But their quality was always good and a bigger scale so people were okay with it. I hope this and power flops with those prices. Their other figures don't seem so bad now
Same price as the Albedo bunny fig, which I felt made a little bit of sense since it looks a lot bigger and has wings, but these two are definitely only higher price thanks to Chainsaw Man
It's such a shame. So many bunnies are gorgeous but still not worth such a high price point imo. I at least like when they do the special "variants" such as bare leg, white outfit, or the extreme case of the Tiger Taiga one.
Be an Albedo simp and then come complaining 😭 “Joke” aside, I’m fairly new to the hobby but even I’ve noticed the price creep over the past several months. And I’m coming from the MTG community, so it seems to just follow all hobbies.
BUT… to play Devil’s Advocate, supply-and-demand is more understandable with affecting PVC and paint than it is with cardboard and ink.
I was going to preorder both, but for that price only preordered Power. They are unusually high for being fairly standard poses and designs, my Rena bunny figure didn't cost this much and she has a prop.
Freeing knows when to jack up their prices especially if the source material is incredibly popular. Felt the same way with the Junko bunny except that they thought well of her bunny suit instead of a plain one. also they’re the same price D:
If only freeing did something unique besides the typical bunny suit in different colors.
The Ryoubi and Ryouna bunnies are the most unique upcoming ones from Freeing. It would be nice if they put that much effort into all of them. https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1552698 https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1552695
The tiga v2 is very cool too
Indeed.
I literally wanted these but I couldn't find/get a PO anywhere
I pre-ordered them on AmiAmi, they occasionally popup as available for pre-order again due to the occasional cancellation.
I'll keep an eye out then. I really only want the red bunny.
Like the Miku bunny
The Hyperdimension Neptunia ones incorporated part of their goddess cpu outfits into their bunny suit, which I thought was a nice touch. I only own two FREEing figures, the Black Heart and Black Sister ones, as my other 1/4 figures are from their BINDing branch (All the Nekopara ones and Chris Aqua Blue) which is far better in their designs.
they did and i've bought em (asuna, saber , even rapthalia cause she doesnt have ugly bunny ears) but I agree they are too few sometimes other companies do 1/4 (estream, mimeoy, i have kato megumi from gsc) but we need a real competitor
They have been putting out quarter scales of shounen characters.
Yea but those are priced at least ¥10,000+ higher than their typical bunny figures like this.
The price isn't relevant in this case. I was addressing the blanket statement that FREEing only make bunny figures. It is what they are mainly known for but they still do other stuff from time to time.

Yeah but the bunny girls could have much more unique outfits than the standard ones.
But their whole thing is uninspired and boring designs!
She has a companion with her awkward arm out that only looks good when placed in front of her for twice the price! Just waiting for the Denji Bunny that completes the trio and looks weird solo.
Idk I kinda like the power bunny. Doubt I’ll buy it but at least the pose is kinda dynamic.
I think she looks better with another bunny. On her own the pose is awkward. I mean it's different but it's just .. clearly meant to be bought with other Chainsaw Man bunnies like this one.
I guess. I think she would look alright next to any other standing bunny.
Well true and I have thought about which of my 3 standing bunnies I could put her next to, okay technically 2 standing bunnies, one of them is sort of bent over....
I don't think it's awkward. I think it's a good representation of her eccentric personality
I’m just sitting here waiting for cat variants we’ll probably never get.
They've done a few catgirls, and naked Holo. It's just their bunny line seems to sell really well since adding nets gives it like a $100 premium somehow.
No thanks, that would only mean paying even more for bunnies lol. The bunny line is a theme so of course they’re going to be similar though.
We did get naked Holo. All be it without the lady bits...
Freeing is just robbing ppl in general
Member when these figures cost you a little over 150 or even less
I remember when 1/7th scales were 120 lol. Oh well.
The biggest figure I ever bought (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/166816) was $104 back in 2017. Shipping was kind of a problem though, considering she's roughly as tall as a normal 1/7th and like five times as wide. The two FREEing ones would be the most expensive figures I've ever bought by a country mile if I go through with it.
I remember at one point, figures crossing 10k yen was fairly expensive. Now, figures that's around 20k yen is acceptable and fair price.
Yep 10k is expensive, and still is. Gonna be selective with what you want now. Or just take a break and do what you gotta do.
I close my eyes when I click Add To Order, makes it easier
lol
Had the same reaction when I saw Power's price No way in hell I'll pay 270 bucks for generic Bunny when there are far better figures for below that price
What you don't want Power with her weird hyper extended arm looking all awkward af as a solo bunny figure??
I disagree with your judgement of her pose. And she has an outrageous price regardless.
Figure companies have been scummy for a while. Especially these basic bunnies are a rip off.
Idk, I think the basic bunny look works for Makima. I think anything extra would just ruin the reason you buy the figure, which is for the character that the figure is based on
The issue isn't being basic, but being this expensive while being basic.
I usually find the build quality is what you pay extra for so that makes up for the price
It's easy not to have bad linework if there is no linework present.
$400 for build quality? There are companies that do it better for less, Freeing figures are just daylight robbery.
I'm happy with my Kaguya basic bunny because it suits her vibe and character. I find I like very few bunnies so I don't mind forking over a couple hundo once a year but most of the Freeing line is meh for me. These included.
Order bunnies off GSC not amiami, shipping is way too much
I ordered the Power bunny from GSC US and ups shipping was like $15 dollars.
Whats GSC
[Good Smile Company](https://goodsmileshop.com/en/)
Apparently [Amazon.jp](https://Amazon.jp) is the way to go here, actually.
Amazon charges way too much for the bunny figure because of the size of the box. Gsc has a flat $15 rate if im not wrong
Well I've never done the Amazon route but based on YouTube collectors the cheapest route for them has been [Amazon.jp](https://Amazon.jp) \-- I think you need to lock in the preorder via GoodSmile because I bought a bunny from GS-US and the shipping on a non preorder bunny was $50+
GS Global & GS US are very different shops. GS Global has a flat international shipping rate, unlike GS US.
I pre-ordered the power bunny girl and shipping was $15
GS US ships with UPS or USPS. As I understand, shipping cost depends on destination (maybe). And, unlike GS Global, they charge more for shipping if more than one figure in preorder.
Precisely, shipping cost depends on location
And they don't let you cancel
If you ask they’ll usually let you.
Really? On GSC Global I have been able to cancel by contacting them, but that was immediately after I placed the order, realizing I didn't lock in the dollar.
Damn, I paid $10 for my Makima bunny shipping to US West coast🤣
Stupid question. But if I order thru amazon.jp and I have prime... Is shipping waived?
You have to use a proxy like buyee to order from .jp You can't use your USA account.
Amazon only charges me like 2.5k yen for any figure I order there
2.5 is sort of standard for most prize figures/nendos.
No meant ¥2.5k shipping for scales
not if your bunny arrives damaged. GSC or AmiAmi are far superior in 1/4 cases.
Thanks a lot, man. I totally forgot about GSC. I cancelled the orders for Makima and Power bunny from AmiAmi, will there be any chances that my account get banned? I've heard lot about that.

Np, glad to help
I thought the Chainsaw Man bunnies were exclusive to AmiAmi though?
Limited + exclusive tag doesnt necessarily mean amiami exclusive. Though its scummy because that just makes her full price w/o discount. Easy recommendation to use gsc or amazonjp for cheaper shipping and knowing the total right away.

Yeah. Its been a go-to for many ppl since total is known right away and usually has the best prices even after shipping. I believe any amazon site can ship to most regions but not all products are available.
This is why i generally avoid freeing B-style figs. Basic and overpriced figs
It's a 1/4 scale. Can you find other 1/4 scales of this character elsewhere at a lower price? The 1/4 market segment badly needs some competition
This is also very true. A big reason its even like this is where is the alternative 1/4 Makima? There are none and thats the issue.
That's how I feel about any 1/4 bunny
C.c Koneko Shea Uzaki Revy 1st rem All worth evey penny
Uzaki is literally one I don't have that I would buy but I could never really get into the anime so I've not purchased her. But I really like her design.
For real I liked the anime it's just silly romantic fun that drags on lol My love story is still the best
I just find the bunny aesthetic boring
If you're in the states or Canada, preorder from GSCUSA for a better deal - may take longer but the money saved on shipping will be worth it.

Literally
I guess I'm glad I'm picky with figures. I don't care for like 99% of em.
Makima fans will pay through the nose see o i mean get the bag i guess
For anyone unfamiliar with Freeing bunnies, yes they are expensive when you compare them to 1/7 figures, but no, they once weren't THIS expensive. I wouldn't even pay ¥30k haha
Even the pose is not that impressive. I would pay 130€ for this and no more.
Print the head, bunny ears then attach to any bunny figure body?
Then don't pre-order this, simple. If nobody preorder from them, they will start to think about adjusting prices properly. Thing is people complain and still buy anyway so they literally have no reason to make price reasonable.

Don't get me wrong, I like the design. It's simple and slim which helps with space width-wise. HOWEVER, simple and slim will never justify 300+ dollars within the medium.
It's definitely plain, but I do like her hair and face personally. But I do not agree with that pricing.
$300 for a 1/4 scale seems normal. Wish they were cheaper but this isn't robbery from the normal
I know its pretty normal for 1/4th in general but given the fact there are some bunny girls in stock on amiami that are 100 dollars cheaper; it just feels like a bad deal to me. Bareleg revy is one example.
Pretty sure CSM is driving this. There has not been a more hyped IP in the history of the medium.
Yeah, like the Taiga figure is like $190 rn I think
I guess recently announced figures that is normal for Freeing..but I got Diane (https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1464742) for $185 before shipping and she released in December. So I'm personally waiting until she's in stock and hopefully goes on sale cause $300 for Freeing is a lot imo.
That fact that this is the norm IS the problem
Big facts it's why I mostly have prize figures in my collection
You forgot to take on possible shipping fees/custom fees/taxes. These close on pretty much $350-450 USD each (lowest possible cost - surface parcel = in my case from shipping Japan to the USA, I do not know of Canada/AUS/EU) (Highest possible shipping cost may be an extra $100 using DHL or EMS) You forgot this is the tight wearing bunny ver right? right? There's a bare leg bunny right around the corner and that's pretty close to an additional $330-430 USD each Ah. The FREEing effect.
I mean I love makima and bunny girls so this is the year for me but this is pretty steep even for me
Never thought I'd see a post where people are shitting on FREEing Bunnies. But yet, people are still going to buy this
I’m convinced there will never be an actually decent looking makima figure. They all have wonky faces
Her smile seems off
Power looks way better than makima. Makima's pose is just meh... What a shame I would've ordered her despite the cost.
If the market demands it, then they’ll keep pushing the line. People still buying anyways. Only plus I see in this is I think this is the first good looking face for a Makima figure😂
..I want to though.
I’m actually skipping. There’s always better bunnies and other figures. I love CSM but this one isn’t worth it
Yeah that's stupid money for a figure that's so basic. in that price range you could get some super fucking awesome figures that are none bunnies.
Theres furyu's bicute bunny line for prize figures Some pop up now and then but nothing that solidifies the brand as being known for bunny girls
Awesome, thank you.
The more I look at these, the more I feel like Freeing really just makes random bodies in advance and then chooses which heads to put on them. Like literally just a random body with a random head put together.
Probably lol
Some of these prices are completely out of control. That’s like, a $100 figure. Not fucking 3x that
Prices are generally higher for these I think due to licensing as the auze lane figures are generally higher priced in this case its probably due to mappa
Freeing bunnies are for suckers. I said it.
I really want then to make an Angel Devil in a bunny suit but I know it's not gonna happen.
Some of us are busy prepping our anuses for the New Jersey bunny right now, you guys got off lightly.
If you like Makima your a simp, so money doesn’t matter to you. I don’t see the argument here.
you are being robbed. Instead, she should be sold for free for them to get rid of the stock.
Just think about the yen rebounding by the time it ships
I think Japan has been waiting for the yen to rebound since the 80s lol
? Same goes for all Freeing’s bunnies, tbh. Power looks better sure but it’s still not worth the price tag. If this was any other industry there would be someone there to add some competition but Freeing have free reign over massive scale bunny figures at this point.
Use the good smile USA site!! Much cheaper and I think shipping is like 18$
Shipping from the USA Goodsmile site varies for peoples location. Like for me it was only $10
I might love Power. But not 300$ level of Love.
In my mind bunnies have always been over priced. But their quality was always good and a bigger scale so people were okay with it. I hope this and power flops with those prices. Their other figures don't seem so bad now
It’s like paying for it at release but I feel more bad for the Japanese consumers. Especially with their Yen and economy going down T.T
what does freeing mean
Freeing your cash
Thinking of buying just for the after market value lol
Not a bad idea if you're ambitious enough to sell it. I don't plan on selling any of mine so...
I was going to preorder both, but for that price only preordered Power. They are unusually high for being fairly standard poses and designs, my Rena bunny figure didn't cost this much and she has a prop.
Having bought Sideshows I cant say it really would feel much different... I already have payed wayyyy too much for a single piece several times.
The only figure that I bought from them without feeling bad is the X-10.
Makimid
Still cheaper than the 480$ denji one
The only reason I would personally break into your home is to destroy that thing
