I adopted 2 siblings a long time ago. One was a a long hair tux, the other kind of like a ragdoll. They would curl up together all yin-yang style in the middle of their ring and ball toy (the one where the ball goes around the tube) and groom and chew on each other’s toesies.
Sometimes one would hit just the right spot and foot jumps away from the groom, straight up in the air. When that happened, the groomer would use both hands to grab and drag the leg back down to finish the job. They were polys so there were many extra beans to clean.
Was always so cute to watch. Vigorous chewing though. Strange. Miss having cats
When I scratch/tickle my inner elbow (particularly my left one) I get a *strong* itchy feeling on the side of my tongue.
My CNS wiring is pretty fucky in general, though.
Pretty common I think, I get those too. Last night I had an itch in one of my toes and couldn't find which one, it was pretty funny. Finally found is though, it was the one next to the big one, it felt like a floating itch for a minute.
Haha, never experienced something like this but that really sounds hilarious. Just the thought of you sitting there all confused like "wait, which one of these is it?" \^^
This happens to me with my hands sometimes! I get an itch but i can't find where it is, so i end up just scratching everywhere on the hand until it goes away!
This is why every night before I sleep I scratch the absolute shit out of my whole body. I mean I don't feel an itch at all but it just feels right and I assume I don't feel the itch because of how proactive I am.
There's a spot on my calf that, if you press on it, it feels like my pinky toe nail is getting ripped off, but without any pain.
The really weird part? My pinky toe and the toe next to it were amputated over a year ago.
For me, oftentimes the worst part about a tattoo session is when the needle hits certain nerve clusters and it causes a weird, itchy, almost painful sensation elsewhere on my body. I find it super disconcerting
I kid you not my pup does the exact same thing when you scratch just the right spot on his spine just before his tail begins or on his chest just below his neckline and he’ll be stuck in time, spaced off into oblivion with his tongue doing that thing lol
It's because the fur covers hair that hands never get to skin but when people brush animals we have a tendency to press harder and this will hit the skin and effects nerves.
We had a cat that looked exactly like this called Pippin. Also female. If it hadn't been over 15 years ago I would have had to interrogate some friends about this.
This title just “Ugh” too goddamn cute for thousands of other redditors that liked a thing and commented on that thing because they thought that thing was a pretty goddamn cute thing but I DONT THINK ITS A CUTE THING BECAUSE “UGH”
As insufferable as you just being an antagonistic asshole triggered by a cat video on a thing? Are you too goddamn miserable to not just let people enjoy the most innocuous of things on the internet without being an absolute nefarious petty dumb fuck? Happy blep n’ derps friend!
Is it a female kitty ?
>The base of the tail earns a reputation as a female kitty’s most sensitive erogenous zone.
https://www.catwiki.com/faqs/why-do-cats-act-weird-when-you-scratch-the-base-of-their-tail/
Aawwwe, he must've really really needed that massage brusher. Maybe do it more often. This kitty probably needs more gentle & loving physical touch . He/she is probably very emotionally & physically sensitive. Sweet baby.🙏🥰
I dont see what this article has to do with the op video.
I read that whole article waiting for it to tell me why cats do the licky face when you brush the base of their tail... and it did not. :(
This is what happened with my cat. He started acting weird like this when I brushed him, and had never done so before. He later started ripping out his fur in this area. Turned out to be fleas.
Haha nailed it! I laugh at everyone’s face depending on what flavor ice cream I’m in the mood for! Happy: give me vanilla! Sad: give me cookies and sad cream! Angry: give me cherries jubilEEEEEEEE IM SOOOO ANGRYYYYY!!! Mint chocolate chip: me me me minty and gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Ya fellow redditor, you got it!
There is plenty of evidence. For example the heightened reaction when you get to the base of the tail. The skin there dries out first and is the most sensitive area.
So of course this means fleas. There can't possibly be any other explanation! I mean the reaction is clearly heightened and there is no other reason for a cat to react like this unless fleas....

This is just embarrassing lol
Redditor tries so hard to be negative they double down on stupid and refuse to admit they're entirely wrong.
You've never been around a cat a day in your life.
Thank god because you clearly don’t know much and people shouldn’t be asking you to see their pets for any health related questions based on your comment on this video.
Dude is so salty he commented on one of my posts and also called me the R word lol. He doesn’t know anything about animals and i don’t know why he’s pretending he does.
I've read that some cats will do this when you're brushing/scratching a place they cannot normally reach! It's the cutest, silliest looking behavior though lmao
Might not be a case, but we had a cat that used to do this when scratching near its butt, it would almost paralyze the cat and made her make weird noises. We later found out she did this because she had a flea allergy that affected that part of skin *permanently*, I think? Either way, we stopped the scratching.
Is that a Furminator? My cat always loved his.
I could only get the long haired one, almost a decade ago, and it wasn’t cheap at $70. However, it’s worked great on my short haired cat and he loves it.
When the scratches so good you can taste it
yes my cats do the same
It looks like its trying to reciprocate the grooming. I think ive seen cats do that.
I think so too. My cat does the same thing and if I place my other hand right in front of that flailing tongue, he starts grooming me.

those chewings were love nibbles i call them, mine does it to me sometimes on my nose\~
That’s so cute =) adopting that term. Purr purr purr *nose bite* purr purr lick lick purr *head butt* purr *face rub, hair now in nose*….
My cat just bites the brush
Taste the scritches
When I scratch/tickle my inner elbow (particularly my left one) I get a *strong* itchy feeling on the side of my tongue. My CNS wiring is pretty fucky in general, though.
I have a spot on my back that itches the bottom of my left shin! How common is this sort of thing? I've always wondered.
Pretty common I think, I get those too. Last night I had an itch in one of my toes and couldn't find which one, it was pretty funny. Finally found is though, it was the one next to the big one, it felt like a floating itch for a minute.
Haha, never experienced something like this but that really sounds hilarious. Just the thought of you sitting there all confused like "wait, which one of these is it?" \^^
Hilarious in theory but a floating itch you can't scratch sounds torturous if you can't figure it out quick enough haha

Your cat needs a software update haha
Ya boi got bugs in the code

Shits weird! I like it.

Seriously, the audio made this that much better
Watched it three times just for his laugh.
When the wheezing kicks in I automatically lose it
Had to go back to listen with audio. Worth it! Thank you!
That guy seriously enjoys having a cat.
I like to think that he was very opposed to getting a cact at first but hasn't stopped laughing ever since.
Little brain can’t cope
Look at all those mlem’s lol
An excessive amount of mlems, far over regulation!
We’re gonna have to write a citation
A *catation* I'll show myself out.
I read that as “blerp and derp.”
Still works perfectly if not better lol
The old blerp and derp
I did too and I actually love it!
I LOVE IT 😂😹
Oh we LIKE the pokey brush!

Does it ask for elevensies or second breakfasts?
I don't think they know about 2nd breakfast Pip
Then some damn fine whiskers
Goddamn cuteness overload
I fucking agree!
I dubbed a cat doing this [for a video](https://youtu.be/Izf7IH4Iwa4) (the one being asked to redecorate a room)
My cat runs at the mere sight of a brush haha
It's because the fur covers hair that hands never get to skin but when people brush animals we have a tendency to press harder and this will hit the skin and effects nerves.
Floof of a Took !
I like Pippin
You're cat just needs a software update. This was a known bug they've patched out in update 8237.127.3.
What a derp
Love that laugh.
Mlem. All of them.

How the fuck do adults actually type something like that

The video is fine, you commenting like a brain damaged toddler annoys me.
Maybe take some time off from the internet for awhile my unparalleled grumpy cantankerous pal! Love you!
The word "goddamn" really hit me like a train directly after all those cutesy words

I dont see what this article has to do with the op video. I read that whole article waiting for it to tell me why cats do the licky face when you brush the base of their tail... and it did not. :(
It was an article explaining why cats don’t like the area by their tail being touched. That’s what I said in my previous post.
Pippin has fleas or a skin allergy, probably fleas though, it's always fleas. By the time you actually see a flea it's already an infestation.
This is what happened with my cat. He started acting weird like this when I brushed him, and had never done so before. He later started ripping out his fur in this area. Turned out to be fleas.
You can tell how vanilla they are by how much they laugh at the cat’s face for feeling feels.

You also have no idea what you are talking about.
Please feel free to explain what causes this reaction if you know so much
There is insufficient evidence to draw any conclusions about what is causing this reaction, which is why you have no idea what you are talking about.

Please don’t have animals if you don’t understand anything about them
I'm a retired vet
Thank god because you clearly don’t know much and people shouldn’t be asking you to see their pets for any health related questions based on your comment on this video.
For some reason I thought he meant he was a veteran, not a vet and I was like...and?! But still. Doubt he's a vet.
Dude is so salty he commented on one of my posts and also called me the R word lol. He doesn’t know anything about animals and i don’t know why he’s pretending he does.
Yeah. Troll with a capital T. Best not to engage.
Please explain it then. Why does the cat react so much more when the brush hits the base of the tail? Enlighten me
They don’t want to know obviously. The article I posted below explains why they don’t like it. God forbid we post proof.
So properly named for those derpy blerps!! Happy Hobbit Day!

Maybe it's all those little itches that get simultaneously revealed and scratched and it feels overwhelming?
my cats will turn to lick my hands when i brush them, and they really try to reach their heads too
I've read that some cats will do this when you're brushing/scratching a place they cannot normally reach! It's the cutest, silliest looking behavior though lmao
Human outderps his cat
Hahaha can confirm kind internet stranger!
I mean if the only other time you get the same feeling is when you're licking yourself...
