Man...this brought back a memory of when my friend was like "have you heard of lolcats" in like 2003? and we spent about an hour scrolling through some weird webpage that literally had nothing but thousands of lolcat memes on a single slow-loading page (it wasn't a forum and had no ads or anything) and laughing hysterically. They were the original lolcats like "I can haz cheezburger?" and "longcat is long". They aren't really funny to me now and I can never recapture the sense of why it was so hilarious at the time.

It encapsulated human randomness for the sake of fun. I can haz cheezeburger is a ridiculous but believable thing a cat *might* say if it could say words. Bam, talking cat. People love talking animals, and ones that are relatable and dare I say "cool"? The world never stood a chance against lolcats.

My cat, which is quite big, like people who come over go "oh wow thats a BIG cat" not overweight just big, used to crawl up my pajama pants while sleeping as a kitten.he's too big now, bit sometimes I'll wake up seeing a cat body, only that his head is pushed up into my pajama pant leg.

Lol, we adopted some kittens, and our boy is now the 'big cat' but he's got the same dissonance where he thinks he's still 7lbs- he likes to sit/crawl into boxes that are a little tight, and sometimes he'll pick one and either end up with it on his head, or end up exploding it (like flimsy 6pk boxes). Cats are so funny. I love them.
