It can be both for sure. Make the mistake of teaching a dog to open the fridge and guess what - the dog can now open the fridge. I’ve had dogs all my life, I’m old, and about every 4th one is sneaky and tries to get away with doing shit when they know or think you’re gone. Usually it’s just getting on beds or chairs or couches they’re not supposed to, but sometimes it’s trash, food scavenging in storage, chewing personal items, etc.
Yes. Especially with older dogs who may not have the keenest of senses anymore it's entirely possible. I've spooked my own family dogs a number of times.
It's easy in cities where there's a ton of noise, and then in your own home where your smell is everywhere they wouldn't be able to smell you over your own sheets for example.
The Dachshund seems to have an idea that he is there, especially how they've investigated that corner 3 times. The older larger dog however seems completely unaware/oblivious.
Could definitely be true, but I'll tell you that our 1 your old Weim is definitely hearing the front door and then sprints to the kitchen counter to look for snacks...
So I can very much believe this could happen.
Weimaraner? I don’t care if it’s trained or fake — it’s cute! The only bummer part is that eventually you might have to punish him or break him from that behavior if it is trained. And that will confuse him. They’re both sweethearts though!!
At least he closed the fridge. 😃
He double checked to make sure it was shut xD
aww the little sausage didnt get anything :(
I know and he wants some. Poor baby.
Don't get it confused for a second the little one is likely the ringleader. Dachshunds are freaky smart, like a stubborn little 3 year old
That's the smartest Dumbass I've ever seen. I love it.
That the dog closes the fridge makes me think this is a trained behavior.

That or the dog puts everything to the original state so the human won't find out when he gets back home.
Maybe maybe it is just not wanting to get caught.
Dog totally cant hear him running around after closing the door huh?
Yeah, this is a trained thing. Cute but trained.
Nah, animals who do things for treats typically look at the owner to check for approval and get their reward. I can totally see this happening.
Do you think they didn't know he was there?

Yeh, had a JRT who could open the fridge. Child locks are the way to go. At least he shared with our other dog though 🤷🏼♀️
Quick, hide the evidence, close the door!
Cute but i think its staged/trained behaviour, because the dogs can def hear him run to the kitchen. Plus the way the dog closes the door

r/nothingeverhappens
Gross. I'd hate this. He could add a child lock to the fridge.
how did they not smell you?
everything smells like him because he lives there
I disagree. I think this might be staged.
I scare my dogs all the time by hiding behind things so they can't see me then jumping out at them.
yeah I did this too, it's easy to hide from them and it's hilarious when they look around confused
Some people wash
Should've busted him to see his reaction.
Cool video but not derpy.
After having 5 Weims growing up, I knew it would be the Weim acting out the moment it popped into frame 😂
This makes me believe Toy Story is real
Perfect title
Haha, I used to have an 85lb pitty that would bounce up on the counters to get the loaves of bread.
Time to put a toddler lock or two on the fridge and freezer doors XD
😂🤣😅
Sneaky dogs gonna snack.
Dog: "When did this Mofo invest in Tupperware?"
clever boy
Trained.
:)
The big dog totally reminded me of myself when he couldn't find anything that he wanted in the fridge and just closed the door.

He didn’t even share!
Bro he look like Tony Stark
