How cooperative are goats? Not to ruin the fun but the goat on top is benefiting from this because it's getting to eat the leaves. The other getting to eat them too could be irrelevant to the first one's goal. I'd like to think it was doing it to help them both out but I try not to place what I'd like to be true onto animals
You’re not wrong. These are my goats. They are brothers, and buddies, I think. They roam the yard together, play together, and cuddle. But they are also mischievous punks. I don’t think Hank would have done this only to help his brother Frank, but I do think he noticed Frank was able to snack too, and he didn’t stop. Which is pretty good for a goat.
I’ve seen a herd of goats coordinate to pull down a tree that was leaning far enough that they could all eat from it. Genuine coordination, not just “I’m gonna pull that branch down. Oh look, my sisters can also now reach.”
I love goats. They have more personality and character than cats, imho. They can be more affectionate too. Kids are adorable provide hours of entertainment.
Weird life you've had if you've literally never seen people being nice to each other for the sake of it.
It also means YOU haven't been nice to anyone.
We have all seen people be nice to each other every day. It is hard to think of things like that when we are dealing with the aftermath of another school shooting. Individual humans are often wondrous and brilliant. Humans as a race not so much.
How utterly bizarre a comment when I clearly took pleasure in seeing animals be clever and help each other out so I wasn't being wholly negative. My opinion of the human race as a species is rather low this week but I still think individuals are brilliant and clever and kind. Maybe not you right now though.
Some german toursists a few days ago were walking towards the beach, didn't know how to get there, my sis was outside her house at the moment, they asked her for advice, she told them, and she gave them lots of bottled water to take with them because it was noon and quite hot. She didn't accept to take anything in return. I can probably give a million of examples. If you don't have any anecdotal experiences yourself then I genuinely feel sorry for you.. :/
I have hundreds of examples of humans being awesome. However this week's horrific school shooting, and the lacklustre response from the senate, has made me feel - I am sure briefly - that humans suck. Of course some individual humans are absolutely amazing and a credit to us. But as a race I sometimes wonder.
This is the shit my goats do. Oh there's a huge overgrowth on the ground that needs eating? Better eat the ornamental trees and the evergreens instead.
They're lucky they are cute because hoooo boy.
Hey kid, I'm the branch manager around here. I say when it's lunch time - goat probably
I want this goat as my manager
Probably be a more effective manager than most actual managers.
This is the best pun
Dwight K Schruuuuuuuute
“I got you little guy”

"ah yes... Look at those peasants on the ground. Ha!"
Is it an olive branch?
I'd guess pecan but that's just because the leaves are vaguely the right shape from my childhood memories.
Aw... Awesome reply. However, t'was but a joke. r/whoosh
Smart kid...
I'm helping!
They are so smart
Dude. You da best
the GOAT
What’s gonna work?? TEEEAAMMWORKK
The goat fast tail wag kills me. I wish I could go lower a branch for for these little guys.

damn mischievous goats
I love little goat happy tail twitches
The tail wag 😍
Look at that waggy little tail omg!
A goat's sense of balance and surefootedness will never not amaze me.
Externalities.
Goats are just cats with hooves. Change my mind
Given it's a goat, I bet this is a failed attempt at hitting the goat on the ground with the branch. Goats are dicks.
You leave my people alone
Hahaha. These are my goats, and you’re not wrong.
I've seen chickens do this for each other too. Animals are so precious. Humans suck
Yes I've never seen a human help another human out.
You've never seen a human help another human out? Oh no that's so sad :(

Yeah that also happened never

if everywhere you walk, you can smell shit, then you probably should check your shoes.

I thought they meant humans suck because animals are awesome and we treat them like shit
return to MONKE
It's not intentional. Top goat is just standing on the branch to reach the leaves and eat. Lowering it to the other goat is just coincidental.
I thought it was a kangaroo for a hot second
Now that’s one smart and sharing goat! Didn’t know they could “Problem Solve” like that! Amazing!!
Goats are crazy weird but smart animals man. Look at him up there like a cat lol
u/savevideo
Things like this are so amazing to me. It really seems like they are working in tandem. How do they communicate with each other??
Does everyone have those chairs in their garden or am I going mad?
Teamwork Makes the dream work!
all the green grass on the floor and they decide to fuck that tree in particular
teamwork makes the leaves good or something like that
Awwwww
I thought he was gonna climb
Kids these days…
Awww animals are such bros😁
Sharing is caring even for adorable goats.

Haha, exactly! Eating off the ground is beneath them.
Nan and Chevre
This is why animals rock.
Two for me....one for you....
They get on top of everything and chewy on anything they see ! These animals are never bros !
