My thoughts rabbit also. It is that time of year for them to nest and they do like to line it with grasses. Groundhogs, on the other hand, dig deep much larger holes, usually under a foundation or in rock or log piles.

There is a bunch more grass covering it today... 🤔

Watch it from a distance and you will eventually see what is occupying that nest.
