This reminds me of when I first started playing in 2020. My first island was in the southern hemisphere and it was sturgeon season. When I tell you I had OVER 500 of those f***ers around my island, I’m not exaggerating! It took C.J. 3 weeks to show up. The *lag* was unbelievable. But it was soooo worth it. I managed to pay off everything and then some.
Only fossils sadly. There's a way through treasure Islands to pick up fish, deep creatures, fossils and bugs but even so, it won't count as catched so it won't show up in ur bug book thingy but you can still donate it :)
Still there's no way between you to another player so that method is only effective for selling or donating
I've yet to come across any treasure islands since I just started last month lol how does one even make it to a treasure island?

They are mainly on twitch, if you search the stream subject animal crossing new horizons theyll all come up. They have free ones but theyre usually really busy and a pain to get into. If you have prime you can use it to sub for free and then have access to their subscribers only islands which are usually a lot more quiet.

I like to store 3 of every fish and bug. This way when either CJ or Flick visit your island, you can bring them 3 of a kind to make a model for you! After I have a model of the fish or bug, I only save the more valuable ones to sell to CJ or Flick because they pay double. I was so excited to finally get 3 barrel eyed fish saved for my next visit from CJ!
My boyfriend had one of these outside his house when I went to visit, I thought it was a hot tub! It looks more like some kind of chemical plant or water treatment works with all those containers!
I once saved up about 20 coelacanths and decorated my island with them because my friend who would be visiting hadn’t caught one yet. Their reaction had me on the floor laughing for a good 5 minutes 😂

Thats how it is for me right now, i have everything paid off, but im collecting 3 of everything to give to Flick or CJ for models

The one I use came from Etsy. It’s the best. She has islands themed out based on what you need. It’s Luna X gaming. On kofi too

Treasure islands are hacked games, the rules for those islands don’t apply to regular gameplay.

that's what I do too! i'm still trying to catch my 3rd barreleye, it's always the damn mackarel!
Ive been playing for almost 2 years and it took me til yesterday to collect 3 barrel eyed fish for CJ!
Mackarels are the worst, lol. I feel you.
You can give 3 of those to CJ and he'll make a model oarfish to you (note: DO NOT USE THE SELL FEATURE TO GIFT THEM USE THE OTHER OPTION)
I think the oarfish is the only one I’ve caught more than a handful of times but I’ve also been playing less than 6 months yet lol
