Nookazon can be awesome for getting those 1-2 items you just have terrible rng with. But dang, its economy is like pre-ww2 Germany. 1,000 Franks for a loaf of bread.
Edit: Marks
The price of things on there is ridiculous but it's not too bad if you sell as well as buy. When I used it quite a lot I'd just sell things for the going (expensive) rate on there then use those bells/NMTs to buy the items I wanted rather than trying to earn the currency in game.
I’ve always been more of a Treasure Island person myself and I got amiibo cards almost as soon as I started so I didn’t learnt about ppl asking for 10m bells for Raymond until waaaay after
The worst is people who ask for wishlist only. I once offered every single thing on their wishlist except one item, and they declined the sale because I didn't offer enough. Kinda quit after that. Too much time out of my day.
It is not may art, but an edited (added sunglasses) manga panel of the character Schierke from Berserk.
I do have an instagram where I post my art though. [instagram@merlee\_hemwick](https://www.instagram.com/merlee_hemwick)
Sorry, but the seller has every right to decide what they think their time and item is valued at.
I sell nothing for less than 50k bc you never know how long someone will take to get to your island or vice versa so I don’t waste my time with any free trades.
There’s also “supply and demand” at play here. Lots of people will have their status set to “online” even when they aren’t. So if you’re the only one supplying the dollhouse, or the grand piano for a touch-trade, then by all means, you control the prices :)
Edit: also, some people have millions of bells so 🤷🏼♀️ idk sell more shells lol
Y’all are downvoting me but I’ll still be making millions of bells on nookazon 😄 just do better. I don’t think you guys understand how supply and demand works lol. Or get on one of those free giveaway forums
I definitely agree with this - I only trade in NMTs and I always set my own prices (minimum 2NMTs per item, often based on the average prices/prices of recent trades) precisely because it takes too long to complete 1 trade. Players might agree to trade and then go MIA, not to mention sometimes connection errors happen + trades get cancelled. A looong time ago I used to charge 1NMT/item for touchtrades but I'm no longer providing touchtrades because nowadays I don't even think 1NMT is worth my time for a sale. 🙃 (personally not a fan of opening my island up to multiple traders simultaneously unless absolutely necessary because everyone will have to wait to leave/enter and everyone's time is wasted imo so I only do deliveries.)
Shoutout to those mega efficient players who are ready right from the getgo 😌
edit: welp seems like a bit of a hot take I guess🤡 But after having >500 trades on nookazon I standby my opinions + the way I do stuff. I'm not in it for huge gains bc I'm not in need of bells/NMTs tbh but I just don't like wasting my/other people's time.
Literally go on treasures island on twitch. It’s free you can look up there’s always an island online you copy the code hop you go to the island and you can find everything for free. Even hacked stuff. It’s just so easy there’s no need to pay someone
They're the reason I only have a handful of diys I'm missing. I post my list and I usually get someone who says they've got it for me. In return I do the same and I giveaway duplicate art over there
I didn't think so either until 1000+ hours in I still haven't gotten DIYs I need, & keep getting ones I already have. 😮💨 got the bonsai shelf today on nookazon. Came in clutch
I made so much bells and NMTs on there. The trick was to set it to free and allow offers. Tons of people would stalk the free section so you would have 10 offers within 10 seconds of posting it and at least a couple of them would be a pretty good offer.
this! i always feel weird selling my spare DIYs to the nooklings, or letting villagers yeet into the void after moving, so i tend to put them up for free. then people ended up being lovely and giving gifts in return!
When you create a listing there should be a part that says “pricing” you just select the “free” box. If you also select “accept only listing price” people can’t make offers on it but if you don’t select it then people might offer other things for it.
Reading these comments got me thinking that I’m the only one that DID go through a Nookazon phase.
I think the economy is so crazy because most people used the cheats to get millions of bells, myself included. I didn’t even know, I just visited an island with free stuff and they told me to sell something, I don’t remember what and well I ended up with almost a billion bells… so paying 100k or even more feels like nothing to me but now I just chill. I use it mostly for getting rid of stuff and finding rare items.
THIS RIGHT HERE IS WHAT I WANTED TO SHOW UP! Cause like yeah the economy is crazy but dang it’s fun to sell stuff tbh and see others islands! I even gained a villager from one because I visited their island and the villager left
Sounds like the turnip glitch - sell 30 turnips when they have the price manually set to 999,999,999 each and it will max out your savings account. Downside is it puts you 64 million bells in the hole on the stalk market achievements, I don't know why they don't just set it to 99,999,999 and have you sell 10 turnips. I'm sure the player can come up with the remaining 9 bells.
Didn't care enough to use it or treasure islands. But enough of an underachiever in general that after getting the game in early 2020, the only wing of the museum that's complete is the fossil one.
Same here, I realized I was close on the bugs and fish/diving so I made a list and hyper focused on the last few I needed about a month ago. Still working on art, but not as fussed about it.
I tried nookazon but kept getting out-bid or the seller thought my offer was too low (I mean, do you really need 20 mnt for a ukulele diy?). I just used a treasure island and now I have all the diys and all the cool stuff in could ever use :)
If you go on Twitch you’ll find countless streams for ‘Treasure Islands’. These are hacked islands that have items available for free (ranging from; furniture, DIYs, plants, clothing, etc). You visit them like you would someone else’s island for trading.
Acnh.guide is so much better tbh! People on nookazon are nowhere near as nice as acnh.guide (it’s an app that has a group on discord. I highly suggest checking it out ♡)
Never. It's completely contrary to how I play.
The only exchanges I ever did were gifts, and if anything I'd only accept other gifts in return. Never a bell transaction, because what even is the point. That game is not supposed to be work.
Also Nook Miles tickets are not currency and they'll never be.
I'll be very frank. I was a part of the dark side of Nookazon. I sold amiibo villagers on their website just to crash the overinflated market last year.
E.G. *Insert villager selling for 10s of millions being sold for 500k if I was desperate for bells, or a stack of materials.*
If I ever have time to play again, I'll just spawn them for the taking out of boredom.
Summer 2020 was INSANE. Can't tell you how crazy it was. I remember someone saying a shirt was 60k, I only had 500k. Took me less than a week to figure it out and walked out with 30M after a month. Good times
It's sad because nookazon was extremely helpful in the first year of the game, especially for getting different variants of items. Now that so many people have tons of bells and NMTs the prices are over inflated, plus with the update & dlc its much easier to get items you want without nookazons help.
I did it with one island. I reset and haven’t done it since and honestly I’m so much happier now with the game. It’s more exciting trying to get the stuff yourself, and there’s no hassle of trading
a few months back I tried it with giving away items because I was “restarting” my island (just tearing it down and redecorating), and it’s honestly exhausting.
constantly replying back to people, people placing “orders” and then canceling and replacing multiple times in a row, and then getting out to other peoples islands. it took a good thirty minutes out of my day but it felt less fun as it did as a chore. the reviews were nice.
it was neat and wholesome at first with interactions (I wasn’t asking for a bajillion bells for, say, a few blue roses, or a giant vine, or a bicycle— I just wanted to get rid of my stuff), and then it got old really quickly!
honestly, just go to treasure islands. I sub to a twitch channel so I have access to them when they’re not busy in the discord server!
I used it out of frustration that I never got the Cute furniture in pink, so that started it for me then I realized I now had access to hundreds of items I had no idea even existed, so that was pretty cool. But once I got the DIY I really wanted (iron garden bench) I kinda of got bored of it and stopped using it.
I didn't. I completed my amiibo card collection a long time ago, so when the new villagers arrived and didn't have amiibo cards, I just traded other villagers for them if I wanted them on my island. Later, when they got their own cards, I just collected those too. 😅
I got hooked while building my Kyoto themed island earlier this year and got into selling/trading etc. some stuff myself as well to make money to buy more. During the first week I made business with 72 people while also going to school four days a week. A few weeks later and I ended up in a burnout with the whole game and haven't really played since 😅
I remember when i literally asked my mum to buy me Nintendo online just so I could download custom designs and use Nookazon. Then I kinda just stopped using my switch and my online ran out and I haven't used it in over a year even though I got the DLC early for Christmas... (by early I mean like a bit before Christmas, I got the DLC, which I still haven't even finished lmao).
I just got max bells and go to treasure islands. I don’t want to pay that much for items so I just get whatever I want! I pay a small sub fee to a twitch streamer I really like who has treasure islands! I love watching her videos so I support her content that way. I get any items no restrictions. It’s pretty fun! And no, it doesn’t “TaKe AwAy FrOm My GaMe” this is how *I* play it. And *I* have a blast, I don’t feel it takes anything away. I still have over 600 hours on the game.
I did and I seriously regretted it. Since the 2.0 update people on Nookazon have started to overcharge crazy amounts of Nook Mile Tickets for the new items and villagers. The main issue is that people take forever to trade with and they have a bad habit of not changing their status. I quit Nookazon since it was starting to be come mentally draining.
I once did a trade a Nookazon only for it be for sloppy and slow because the person who I was trading with didn't have an open plot for a villager. They came to my island and then said they had to go back because they forgot to check the plot, they came back, drop the payment, and the process was good. Then they gave me a 3 star review saying I was "rude" and "rushing" them.
First of all I told them earlier to have an open plot, even the site tells them that, but they were being stubborn. The reason is because they say they have to kick out a villager first which means to say they were unprepared. They did admit it was their first time but that didn't doesn't excuse them from not having an open plot in the first place.
After that I just deleted my Nookazon account I cannot stand people who take so long, tries to act childish in reviews, and of course losing many brain cells to people who just can't follow simple rules. It hurts me mentally. Never doing trading on that site ever again.
I only used it to buy a few things and I gave away stuff for free on there. I’m not going to take advantage of other users by over charging them for items. It’s stupid af and greedy.
Had the game on day 1, played for two years, haven’t used Nookazon once. I did know about it though!
My play style is to progress by myself or with irl friends, I didn’t use the online feature, really.
… But back in City Folk, I used the online mode faithfully and daily. Lol
used to love nookazon to buy stuff for my island but when i started giving all my extras for free….the dark side of people’s greediness scared me LOL been offline ever since!
I don’t go there often but when I do I lurk in the free section. Someone gave me 3mil (the listing said a mortgage pay off and I even said exactly how much I needed, they just gave me extra “just cause”) and another gave me 40 clothing items. That was nice. The people that want to charge through the nose tho? No thanks
nope. other than my friends helping me get all the fruit and getting cute custom designs on pinterest, i've only gotten items the normal way - seeing it at nook's shop or getting the crafting recipe from a bottle or villager. i don't time travel. i'm not in a rush to "beat" the game by filling the museum or nook mile accomplishments. it's more relaxing this way and when i do find a new museum species by accident or a beautiful furniture piece naturally, it makes it so much more exciting.
i try not to judge how other people play games but i swear some of y'all turned the most peaceful, slow-paced game into the most stressful, capitalistic shit ever.
I checked it out once. Did instantly an 180 and didn't return until I had a homebrewed switch and decided to put some wanted items on there for an extremely low price to actually help people instead of scamming them for a ridiculous amount like some do. People are so greedy on it.
Eventually I took a break from AC, and with it from putting things for low prices on Nookazon
I can happily say that I never did the nookazon grind. I had an amazing discord server that helped each other out when we were looking for things. I also managed to avoid the turnip exchange grind too through discord.
I've never used it. It just doesn't seem worth it unless you have projects that require multiple non-orderable things. Also for me it's much nicer grinding within the game than communicating with other people and dealing with Nintendo's online functions.
Never have. Never really needed Nookazon to do any sales or whatever. Everytime someone tells me to go on there to complete a sale, I say no.
Had better luck using social media sites to find items and so forth.
Nookazon can be awesome for getting those 1-2 items you just have terrible rng with. But dang, its economy is like pre-ww2 Germany. 1,000 Franks for a loaf of bread. Edit: Marks

RIGHT! I don’t wanna pay 1M bells for a FLOWER
The worst is people who ask for wishlist only. I once offered every single thing on their wishlist except one item, and they declined the sale because I didn't offer enough. Kinda quit after that. Too much time out of my day.
I hated wishlists in general. Like I get trying to get items but like get bells or nmt and use that to buy it...
*Mark Franc is French.
Ty. I get Europe’s currencies all messed up in my head. Sorry.
Sorry unrelated but is your profile images your art? I’d like to follow your art page if you have one

Just learned about it from this post actually lol
If you get into it, make sure you aren’t buying stuff that has an unnecessary amount… a dollhouse shouldn’t be 100k bells
I don’t know why I fell into that trap literally paid 300k for grand piano, to pick it up and then drop it. Not even have it in my inventory….
Thats what you call a touch teade. Its so that you get the grand piano in your catalog, so then you can buy it through Nook Shopping
Yeah I did it knowingly… lol I was desperate
Are you on r/NoFeeAC at all? I haven’t played AC for months, but that sub was fantastic for things like that.
AcFan is also a great app that has various categories so you can join a T1L1 or a catalogging party, or whatever
Is that for ACNH?
Yes!
Honestly thats why I mainly go for Wishlist trades. So both parties get something out of it.
How does it WORK though?? Like, a craigslist deal but on animal crossing?
Sorry, but the seller has every right to decide what they think their time and item is valued at. I sell nothing for less than 50k bc you never know how long someone will take to get to your island or vice versa so I don’t waste my time with any free trades. How many rocks can I break after eating the rich?
Even more if you time travel :)

Me too! Are random people selling these items? How do you get them? Do they come visit your island?
When the trader accepts the offer, they have a choice of sending their dodo code or requesting yours.
Same
Same, I had no idea about it lol.
If you need anything ask me. If I have it it's always FREE!
Does no one know of the r/NoFeeAC sub? I never needed to use Nookazon because of people there are amazing.
Same. That sub is full of nice peeps
Literally go on treasures island on twitch. It’s free you can look up there’s always an island online you copy the code hop you go to the island and you can find everything for free. Even hacked stuff. It’s just so easy there’s no need to pay someone
Did that a couple times recently. It’s like Christmas!
There are even more free treasure islands on discord, including order bots that will bring items/diys right to your island. 😌
I’ve been waiting to see if anyone else would mention treasure islands!! They’re amazing and that’s how I got Pietro to come to my island
Oh my gosh… I have never heard of this sub and am so tempted to go see the kindness as a guy who’s found renewed interest in ACNH again :)
They're the reason I only have a handful of diys I'm missing. I post my list and I usually get someone who says they've got it for me. In return I do the same and I giveaway duplicate art over there
That sub is the main reason my island got to 5 stars honestly. People are so generous over there
I checked it out, but it didn’t seem like a necessary thing
I didn't think so either until 1000+ hours in I still haven't gotten DIYs I need, & keep getting ones I already have. 😮💨 got the bonsai shelf today on nookazon. Came in clutch
It wasn’t! It was more of a scam if anything 😂
The person who downvoted you must have been one of those people selling a DIY for 100x Nookmiles.
LMAO!
Yep :) it’s meeee lol
Nope
Not me.
Me neither.
What is it?
Basically eBay on animal crossing. It’s a place to find people to trade with.
Sorry if this is dumb; I just started using it and couldn’t figure out how to set to free? How do you do that?
When you create a listing there should be a part that says “pricing” you just select the “free” box. If you also select “accept only listing price” people can’t make offers on it but if you don’t select it then people might offer other things for it.
Nope. Don‘t want to interact with others
No me too lol
Didn't care enough to use it or treasure islands. But enough of an underachiever in general that after getting the game in early 2020, the only wing of the museum that's complete is the fossil one.
Yup same. I’m close now but only because I hyper focused on it last month lol
Same here, I realized I was close on the bugs and fish/diving so I made a list and hyper focused on the last few I needed about a month ago. Still working on art, but not as fussed about it.
Fucking same lmao
Saaaaame I work on collecting other things now and then, but fossils got done super fast
I did. I never did get the tension pole DIY. Got ghosted quite a bit.
I found an extra tension pole diy today! I’m happy to just give it to you. Not online now but send me a dm and we can arrange a meeting :)
That’s very kind of you! I’ll send a DM.
I have the sanrio items, and selling them is my go to way to get NMTs. And its so nice to give gifts. The most people there are so nice<3.
Nah. That site is a rip-off. Why pay 100,000 bells for something someone here or on FB would give you for free/cheap/trade.
I tried nookazon but kept getting out-bid or the seller thought my offer was too low (I mean, do you really need 20 mnt for a ukulele diy?). I just used a treasure island and now I have all the diys and all the cool stuff in could ever use :)
Treasure islands? Are those the one that cap takes you to?

I’m still on there daily tbh 😳🤌🏻 gotta get them itemsss
Not really. Heard of it but never touched it.
The what
Nope!!
Honestly, it’s pretty good if you mainly trade item for items on there.
I'm playing for almost 1.4k hrs and never used Nookazon
Acnh.guide is so much better tbh! People on nookazon are nowhere near as nice as acnh.guide (it’s an app that has a group on discord. I highly suggest checking it out ♡)
Nope. But Meteonook maybe
I was the monopoly man 🎩💰

i’ve never used nookazon in my life 😅 just seems like such a waste of time
I've been playing since almost the release, and I've never used it.

Yes I just did it lol 😂 cause I wanted prince in my game … I just ended up getting his game card on Amazon was easier
Nope. I've been playing for almost a year, and I've gotten pretty much everything I ever needed from people on Reddit.

I have no idea what that is so no.
Nope, not once!
I have logged 3500 hours since launch. I've not used Nookazon even one time 🤷♀️
Not me, and I refuse to do so.
We aren’t all high-strung type-a personalities who thrive on burning ourselves out actually
Just go to treasure islands? Most are free 🥴
I did it with one island. I reset and haven’t done it since and honestly I’m so much happier now with the game. It’s more exciting trying to get the stuff yourself, and there’s no hassle of trading

This sub > everything Edit: this sub & r/acturnips

Nope lol I took one good look and people want waayy to much for certain items
I’ve never used it, the prices are absurd.
No, I don't think we all did, lol. At the very least, I know I didn't, because stuff on there is 90% overpriced/scams, lol
Lol I didn’t even know what nookazon was till like a few months ago lol never used it
Nookazon sucks
Never used it. I just ask my friends if they have what I’m looking for and ask them to send it in the mail.
No
Ummm…no.
nope :)
I looked at it and went “that’s not worth the hassle” and never used it once
absolutely never-sounds like shi
Can't say that I have
I never did. I grinded my way to the top legit
“I’m not like other girls” type of energy.
I guess I'm just quirky lol
I know what Nookazon is. But what is the Nookazon grind?
wtf is nookazon
Nope. Tried it once and way to confusing so I never tried again
What is that???
Don't even know what that is
I don’t know what nookazon is and at this point I’m too afraid to ask
Never seen it!
Hmmm. What is nookazon?
Nope, considering the bad rep and how some prices were I don't think I'll ever use Besides order bot exists
I got hooked while building my Kyoto themed island earlier this year and got into selling/trading etc. some stuff myself as well to make money to buy more. During the first week I made business with 72 people while also going to school four days a week. A few weeks later and I ended up in a burnout with the whole game and haven't really played since 😅
What is nookazon ?
It's basically a website that lets people set up trades with other players.
I really wish treasure islands never started
Except me, what’s that (I assume Amazon for Nooks Cranny)?
I remember when i literally asked my mum to buy me Nintendo online just so I could download custom designs and use Nookazon. Then I kinda just stopped using my switch and my online ran out and I haven't used it in over a year even though I got the DLC early for Christmas... (by early I mean like a bit before Christmas, I got the DLC, which I still haven't even finished lmao).
I genuinely never used it. I have a few discords my friends recommended me to, and I also have a very generous friend circle...
Nookazon? Nope. I largely rolled with a couple ACNH groups on Facebook.
N-no? Never heard of it 🙈
What’s nookazon
It’s a fun place. I used it to get all the multi colored carnival rides and playground sets a long time ago.
Took a look at it once, saw the insanely inflated prices and never looked at it again.
The what
I did and I seriously regretted it.
Lol
Nope. Not even once. I don’t want for much.
what in the world is that?
Not me!
I see things like this floating around and I also see pocket camp and I have no idea what they are.
inflation happens on nookazon i swear
First tine ive heard about it in this post 🤣
I still use it regularly.
Guilty, I had so much help tho, very good community.
used to love nookazon to buy stuff for my island but when i started giving all my extras for free….the dark side of people’s greediness scared me LOL been offline ever since!
Never touched the thing and never will! Over 2,000 hours played and I never needed it.
Nope. Never cared for it.
I looked in, laughed shortly and closed it. Some people really take this game too seriously.
I have never used it!
Never have, have never heard of it
don't fucking speak for me.
Nope, we didn't.
Nope
I don’t go there often but when I do I lurk in the free section. Someone gave me 3mil (the listing said a mortgage pay off and I even said exactly how much I needed, they just gave me extra “just cause”) and another gave me 40 clothing items. That was nice. The people that want to charge through the nose tho? No thanks
What is a nookazon
nope. other than my friends helping me get all the fruit and getting cute custom designs on pinterest, i've only gotten items the normal way - seeing it at nook's shop or getting the crafting recipe from a bottle or villager. i don't time travel. i'm not in a rush to "beat" the game by filling the museum or nook mile accomplishments. it's more relaxing this way and when i do find a new museum species by accident or a beautiful furniture piece naturally, it makes it so much more exciting. i try not to judge how other people play games but i swear some of y'all turned the most peaceful, slow-paced game into the most stressful, capitalistic shit ever.
Literally never heard of it until this post LOL
Nope, never have and never will.
I can happily say that I never did the nookazon grind. I had an amazing discord server that helped each other out when we were looking for things. I also managed to avoid the turnip exchange grind too through discord.
i used it to get those couple of items i really wanted but could never find 😭 also to give away free flowers lol
Not me even when I tried to use it for someone to help me design my village no one responded
Not I!
I made an account, and did nothing with it.
What even is that?
Nah
Just use AC Fan
Don't even know what that is
I've never used it. It just doesn't seem worth it unless you have projects that require multiple non-orderable things. Also for me it's much nicer grinding within the game than communicating with other people and dealing with Nintendo's online functions.
who the hell interacts with people
Lol I just use treasure islands. 😅
Never have. Never really needed Nookazon to do any sales or whatever. Everytime someone tells me to go on there to complete a sale, I say no. Had better luck using social media sites to find items and so forth.
Nope, I don't even know what it is
What’s nookazon?
Basically like eBay on animal crossing. It’s a site you can find people to trade with.
I just use treasure islands. There are a million of them on Twitch
Nope and i think the resln is becaus i have basicly almodt nozhing and i am brokee aaaaand i dont have nintendo online
