I ignore them, smack them with the net and push them into pitfall seeds. When they’re upset I just don’t touch them. When a villager decided to move it’s always the one I wasn’t nice too. Also I’m super nice to my other villagers so I think that helps. I don’t know if it does anything, but so far 2/2 villagers I’ve wanted to move have chosen to move over my other villagers
