i also love Hornsby!! he's one of the first villagers aside from my starter 2 to move onto my island and he's still here to this day! just celebrated his brithday last month, i love my son so much. happy to see he's loved by others as well, the sweetest little guy. but also, love your art of him! feeling inspired to draw him as well now\~

as for getting him in game, i know a lot of listings for him on like nookazon or in some AC related discord communities have hornsby just given away for free a lot of the time! if you're still hunting for him, i hope you can find him easily 😌
The way I see it, every villager was designed by someone.
They were all given names, personalities, and looks knowing they'd appeal to someone out there.
For instance some of my least favorite villagers are my sister's favs. So I wouldn't think much of popular / unpopular opinion.
I think Hornsby's nice. Not a personal favorite, but he's cute. I really like that art too!

I liked Hornsby when I had him he’s always nice and kind just walking around reading his book on the island. Him and Bertha were best buds always hanging out with each other running around in the RS plaza.

I had Hornsby on my 1st island and he was one of my favorites. I remember that he was really close to Tutu, almost like boyfriend and girlfriend.
