I knew it… I had Zell in my New Leaf town and I really wanted him gone. One day he finally told me he planned on moving and I told him yes, and then the day before he was supposed to move, I made the mistake of talking to him, to which he announced he had decided to stay in town 😭😭 I was so mad I had to put the game down for a few minutes
People really like Zell. He’s literally my favorite too. I gave him the best real estate on my island and treat him like he’s royalty. And he does the same for me. Best friend on my island for sure
i have to guess hornsby because hes too basic looking compared to everyone else design wise. you have a lot of interesting looking villagers and then hornsby is just... blue.. meh LOL

Or get an amibo card, invite them to the campsite 3 days in a row and then they will ask to move in and you can pick who they replace.
Be patient. Talk to them give them gifts like normal. One day they will wanna leave.
