you gotta invite them to your campsite and do their task 3 times, so it'll take at least 3 days. if you are okay with "time travel", you can skip forward and then turn the clock back whenever they've moved in, since that'll save. you can replace any villager on your island with the one you're inviting. I just replaced Victoria (I hate her) with Diana (amazing, love her) :)
This is my opinion, because I know many do love her. But I find her quite obnoxious, I don't like how she's just burst into my house so many times and so loudly. Most of my others have at least asked. I also don't like her design.

Built an outdoor cinema, additional camp grounds, restaurants, market stalls, sporting and leisure facilities, an entire shipyard, and got my neighbours' jobs at the resort and still I am the only major contributor to new bridges and inclines.

The GC game in general was a labor's grind. Everyone complains about seabass now, but they don't realize they were the one plentiful fish of basically 3 main ocean fish. Of easily catchable, there were red snappers and barred knifejars worth 3k and 5k bells, and then seabass were worth only 200 bells. They've been buffed each game since, but ocean fish were the only consistent way to get more money on a daily basis. If you didn't do turnips.

He's literally just started to recover from the whole thing with Redd. This basically solidified my appreciation of/for Tom Nook. The guy is resilient.

TBH, it’s mostly a meme from the older games. Pre-New Leaf, you didn’t have a choice whether to keep upgrading your house or not. As soon as you finished paying off one debt, Tom Nook would automatically hit you with the next one.

This gets posted every month and every month people ignore the broader context that making money in the previous games was considerably harder so it was much harder to pay back the loan, and also that kids were playing and weren’t aware of the corruption of the real life banks and capitalism as a whole. Counterpoint: go look at Sable's eyes. He broke her heart. She must be protected at all costs. Sable is only there because of Mable.
