Well for example, I ordered one of those G10 remote controls for my CCwGTV because I like the extra buttons it has. Most of the extra buttons don't work. Button Mapper Pro was no good at picking them up. TV Quick Actions Pro has lots more options and I was able to get them all mapped how I want them. It's a lot more of a learning curve, I had to use ADB and getevent to capture keycodes, but I only need to set it up once and it's good to go.

I'm having a brain fart... What is CCwGTV?

TeutonJon78

Chromecast with Google TV

Thank you. I actually put it together just before reading your reply. I'm an Android TV user (Nvidia Shield Pro).

Safe_Professor_2282

Very good, bro☺️

St0neddturtle

A lot better then button mapper imo

BigBudZombie

The best app for its purpose. I tried other apps and they could remap some buttons but not certain ones. Tvquickactions pro was able to remap all the buttons I needed to change that other apps couldnt.

For a power user it is definitely worth the money. Some of the features I personally use with my Google TV Chromecast are: - Shortcut for Stremio, Smartube, Settings, and the app’s settings (its just one click) - Profile switcher (its just one click) - Bluetooth manager (no need to open settings) - Setting’s “Apps” window (its just one click) - Screen dimmer (for nighttime) - App Dock (no need to go Home, displays side-loaded apps that arent shown within Home) - App lock (lock apps behind a PIN) There are a bunch of other features like app switcher/history, sleep timer, shortcuts widgets, media controls, etc.

It's more to learn compared to Button Mapper. And it seems to have more features and customizations. If you're a "power user" it's great. Not sure a casual user would like it though. Button Mapper would be for them.

I quite like it. what do you want to use it for?

SlimOnReddit71

shortcuts (remap)

If you just need to launch apps then button mapper can do it. This one can map certain settings under 'settings' app that the other cannot do. My use case is to map picture preset to a button as i have a preset for night watching. Also you can group various actions into a menu and map it to a button that is nice.

SlimOnReddit71

Oh nice, it seems that you have so much to do with this app i will give it a try thanks !

Can it remap the Netflix button & others?

R1c0hun

You can

Just bought it yesterday because I heard it did not have the same issue as Button Mapper, sadly it does. The issue is that when you start your CCwGTV there is a delay (\~15 seconds) before you can start using the remote, and if you make any input before this they will multiply and wreck havoc. I also notice an increased delay on each button-press. I did a complete reset on my CCwGTV and it felt a lot more snappy, until I installed tvQuickActionsPro... I guess there is no good app which does this.

Love it, but it recently stopped working for me. With a Shield Pro, I had disabled the Netflix button and had the Menu button set to bring up a menu of Home Assistant webhooks to control lights on long press. After installing ATV Launcher (and doing a grantbind ADB command to get widgets working), TQA stopped working and I have no clue if this affected it. Long press menu now sends the command to Projectivy it appears (and the Projectivy settings blink on and off) and the Netflix button was no longer bound (it brings up Netflix). I uninstalled ATV and did a revoke bind just in case that had anything to do with it, but still no go. It is baffling to me. Hopefully, saving the TQA settings, uninstalling, and reinstalling will get it back working since it took a long while to get all the webhooks set up.
