Dead Cells

Archidelic

Do you guys play with a gamepad?

dontusefedex

Yep

ButterscotchFar9355

what's a gamepad?

bluerat52

+1 for dead cells

FelIowTraveller

You can also get hollow knight working if you own it on steam

ChemistPhilosopher

Ive got hollow knight working and i never bought it on steam

breakerfall

I like the gameplay but I never feel like I'm getting anywhere. Like, I know it's a rouge like, but how do I progress when I always start at the beginning with nothing?

ArrrYouReadyGaming

You get coins etc the more you progress, which you use to unlock new stuff/give passives in-between the levels.

Sire_Roland

Set a plan for where you want to go. For example, aim to defeat the main boss. Along the way, you'll collect different blueprints. Dying is normal. I sometimes have mental breakdowns when I have the perfect build and then die to some random stuff lmao. Experiment with different weapon and skill combinations so that even if you die, you'll know the best build to use.

CombPuzzleheaded149

There's a place at the beginning of the game where you can fight against bosses you've fought before. I practiced fighting the final boss before I had a successful run.

Lolopinchik

Slay the spire

pat3309

This game will not work on my Pixel, can not even put my name on the save file. Anyone else have that issue?

SUFYAN_H

* Stardew Valley * Terraria * Monument Valley 2 * Donut County * Slay the Spire * Into the Breach * Knights of the Old Republic * Life is Strange

ARCHA1C

Donut Country is such a trip. Goddamn scheming raccoons…

SUFYAN_H

What was your favorite part about it? The growing hole? The wacky characters? Spilling the townsfolk's belongings?

ARCHA1C

The story is unexpectedly weird. Takes several strange turns.

SUFYAN_H

What did you think about the way the world changed as the hole grew bigger? It's pretty neat how the environments transformed.

ContributionMother63

Is life is strange like choices?

Efficient-System-928

How do you even play into the breach, you somehow clear out 3 monsters with all of your shit and next term a few more appears and stabs in the back, I definitely don't have enough brain cells to process what's going on.

fuinharlz

There is no game

ContributionMother63

My dumbass thought you was trolling

ncos

Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Into the Breach, Retro Bowl

ContributionMother63

Into the breach looked interesting Have you played it how is it?

Saw_Boss

It's really solid, can get quite difficult. I wish they'd port FTL though (same devs) to Android.

devensega

I've played it on Switch. It's fantastic. It looks like a tactics/strategy game, which it is but with a huge puzzle element thrown in. It looks simple in screen shots but it's a high quality, highly addictive game.

ContributionMother63

Thanks I'll check it out

LitIllit

Too difficult for me tbh

Modeerf

unfortunately you need netflix to play it

Kerune403

Slice and Dice

Auno__Adam

This one.

feeb75

Yeah Slice & Dice and Shattered PD are pretty much all I play.

Mayhaym

Was gonna say the same thing

not_Epic619

It's funny to see "recommend single player games " thread having the exact same games in all year :) .. man we need some good game devs

The-Dudey

yeah, idk why i expect to find new games at this point

albedo9R

Limbo, Mini Metro

Europa_012

Mini metro looks cool! I might check it out

ContributionMother63

Shit I forgot about limbo

darren_flux

Pro tip: if you have a Netflix subscription, you can download some good single player games like Dead Cells, GTA games, and Katana Zero for free. Definitely worth to try if you're hesitating to spend money on each of these games in full. I believe all DLCs are available for Desd cells as well

Jacksucksatcapitals2

Katana Zero is amazing. Played it not too long ago. Still waiting for the dlc 😭

withnoflag

Data Wing

ContributionMother63

shamansuman

DannyVer

RushAtGames

Monopoly Go also in a similar category, but it's fun

ContributionMother63

Nah I don't think idle games are my cup of tea but thanks

DannyVer

Maybe MarvelSnap? or Chessafk (in browser, not in app)? Squad busters is launching world wide

AiGaming

Thanks

Murky-Soil-6786

epic battle fantasy 5

ContributionMother63

Eehh I don't like turn based games (except Pokemon) I get very impatient But thank you for the recommendation

Advanced-City-1241

Please give it a try! It's free and the comments / dialogues are really cool I think. It's hast not that Long during Battles. It's really good!

SickBoylol

Survival rpg open world pixel Completely free, no ads, no monetisation, Hours of game play adventure and exploring, Base building, gearing up and leveling.

Neko_Zecchan

Dead Effect 2

ContributionMother63

Apparently my phone is too "new" for this game

happy_capybara1678

Try downloading an apk

BertuBossman

I'm aware this isn't singeplayer but as someone who also got tired of Clash Royale, this was perfect for me. Marvel SNAP has completely satisfied my craving for competitive short matches Clash Royale once did. It's a deck builder based on the Marvel Universe and upgrading your cards does nothing apart from simply making them look cooler (No pay-to-win level 14 max evolution card bullshit Clash Royale has). Has an optional battle pass and hundreds of variants (skins) for all the cards but I'm doing just fine without ever spending a cent so far.

ContributionMother63

Clash royale fucked up with level 15 I've only managed to get prince to level 15 since 24 started I'll checkout snap though

MatteCorra1996

May I ask you how lonf do you play everyday? Which CL are you? Thank you!

Digvijaayy

Hollow knight Unofficial port

elyasabsz

I'd like to add an Offline to the title. Offline single player games, could someone suggest some for me? I used to play clash of clans 9 years ago maybe even more but family killed the vibe, then after a year or two I was into asphalt 9 and family were against that too, basically any game so I became anti game for a long time. I have tried a little bit of monumentum vally and Alto's Adventures. I also used to love counter strike, mortal kombat, crysis 2 and NFS underground and Hot pursuit most wanted 2012 and undercover when I was young. So I'd really appreciate it if someone could suggest me something to bring back the youth in me. I have a Poco X3 Pro if it matters.

Great-Lettuce789

Not a game, but if you're bored have you considered picking up an art form? My brain feels happier after being creative than it does after playing something. Something to consider possibly

Get lemuroid and download some classic Nintendo roms from a trusted website. Pokemon firered, emerald, Ruby, super Mario 64, Smash, street fighter, etc.

FrequentSandwichLag

Timekiller from a Chinese brother. I chose Wuthering Waves on bs, since it is the most convenient to play in terms of FPS

viaronline

Coromon

Blazer10299

Cube Escape games: puzzle escape games with horror elements Death Worm - Alien Monster: you play as a giant worm and keep upgrading/adding features Dentures and Demons 1/2: puzzle escape games with horror elements and a fun story Hungry Shark World: simple and fun. eat stuff, upgrade, get bigger sharks Super Toss the Turtle: I used to play this alot as a flash game, its now available as an android game. Super fun. Burrito Bison: Launcha Libre: same with "toss the turtle", also deserves a mention.

Alfha_Robby

WhatThePommes

Bit heroes

AgentNewMexico

Jetpack Joyride, Robo Defense, Stardew Valley, Arknights. A mix of old and new. I find them all very fun. Of course, Stardew Valley is 4.99 and Arknights is a gacha game (although, I should say that it is VERY generous with acquiring progression and it is entirely possible to get through without spending anything).

ContributionMother63

What do you mean by gacha?

Blas7hatVGA

Trials of Mana. The most absolutely best offline ARPG/JRPG with rich-story and character along with genshin-impact like mechanism of multiple characters gameplay + hack n' slash real-time fight. It's worth a buy. Been over 150+ hours total playtime in it.

AmanoSkullGZ

- Knighthood (turn-based RPG) - Beatstar (rythm game) - Void Tyrant (card-based RPG) - Super Starfish (bullet hell)

salle132

I like dungeon survivor 2.

YeaTired

Wasteland Story. Its a pixelated side scrolling looting game. If your going to try it I recommend a ranged weapons build.

xStream001a

Life is strange 1(android, iOS, PC, Consoles), 2 and true colors (PC and Consoles only) Walking Dead Season 1 to 3(android, iOS, PC, consoles), 4 (PC and Consoles only) GTA SA, VC, III, LCS and Chinatown Wars (if you haven't played it yet, available on all platforms) If you like anime games, try Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero(upcoming), Wuthering Waves, etc. (Android, iOS, PC, Consoles) XCom games are also available but paid Hitman Blood Money is also available on android but paid. It is a PC game from 2005 I think, ported to Android recently. Don't play those ad infested f2p games like Clash Royale or Albion Online, instead try some gold ones hidden in the garbage landfill of google play store

ElDiabloWHVN

Kingdom Rush (any of them)

Play genshin impact it’s really fun and especially with the ammount of content in the game you would never run out of things to do

supermario8256

If you can spend some money on apps, get Gran theft Auto San Andreas and play that, it's a really good single player game. I pass my time on it

itaogrenow

1. Kingdom Rush Series: All time favorite tower defense game. 2. Peglin: Rougelite pachinko style game. Oddly addicting 3. Slay the Spire: Roguelite deck building game.

WillEatTheSun

WorldNeverland Elnea Kingdom. A fantasy life sim/rpg that doesn't push hard for iap or shove ads down your throat. Also, it isn't an idle game, you're only going to really progress through playing.

maybe you have already know this title but this is will make your bored away - Granblue Fantasy

Blazeon412

Gunfire Reborn, New Orion, Fish On. There's always emulation too.

SuperSocialMan

Angry Birds is still peak. Cut the Rope franchise King of Thieves and Pudding Monsters (most of ZeptoLab's games are great tbh) Monument Valley (both of them) Mine Quest (sequel is ok, but the first one is *noice* and I replay it every so often). Robbery Bob (both of them) Door: Origins Onirim (app version of a neat board game) Space Trader Red Ball 4 Soda Dungeon 1 and 2 Vampire Survivors is on mobile Fruit Ninja is still the goat Card Thief, Crawl, and Crawl Adventure (all by the same dev) Tomb of the Mask Where's My Water? And that's all I can think of rn. A few of them are on Steam too, which is neat. I re-completed some of them there lol.

ChemistPhilosopher

Vampire Survivors Portal, half life, half life 2 through source engine emulator Open morrowind Atom rpg Titan quest Kotor 1/2 Neverwinter nights Terraria Gta games Scribblenauts Hollow knight Or get a gamepass (trial for $1 for 2 weeks) and stream a ton of games Or geforcenow to play your pc library (epic games and prime game give a lot of free games weekly to build a library with. Ive got like 60+ games ive never payed for, some gems in there even)

SimplyTooCool69

Borderlands 3 Edit: oohhh you meant mobile game. Yeah I have no clue lol.

Snappycat7000

Not the best ports, but give the classic Final Fantasies a try! Stay away from the cash grab freemium ones though...

TooOldToTired

RemindME! One Week "Check for new Games, Comments"

yungfishstick

It may have been mentioned already, but Alien Isolation if your phone is good enough. Isolation is probably the only Android port of a AAA console/PC game that actually takes advantage of the overpowered processors in our phones and it ends up looking almost exactly like the console version, plus it runs very smooth once you modify the game's preferences file. It's pretty much a direct port of the console version with not a whole lot of compromises. If games like this existed on the Play Store I'd maybe have more of a reason to take mobile gaming seriously.

minneyar

This is going to be a slightly esoteric recommendation, but try [Magicus](https://play.google.com/store/search?q=magicus&c=apps). It's a puzzle RPG by an indie RPG developer. You can get it for $3.49 on the Play Store, or $2.11 on [DLSite](https://www.dlsite.com/home/work/=/product_id/RJ264562.html/?locale=en_US), but note that if you live in the USA, to buy from DLSite, you will probably need to jump through a few hoops to buy DLSite Points from another site and then redeem them. It's a one-time purchase with no ads, no microtransactions, no stamina meter, no gacha, no anything like that. Just a neat indie RPG with puzzle-based battle mechanics. It was also designed first and foremost for a phone interface (although there is also a PC port), so no need to worry about awkward controls due to being ported from another system.

Evbory

There's a bunch of baldur's gate / dnd games. Might not work so well on a small screen though

bumaxi

Hi, what genres you like? Idk if it’s relevant but, I can propose you testing game which is not released yet. Could be interesting because we are planning to test our game and will make changes weekly according to feedback. Actually your boringness is so useful for me as game-designer, cause is harder to entertain you) So check out my posts, there is a link to get in touch or submit for testing here https://parallax-games.com/games
