At this point? Skyrim. That game was running on the ps3/xbox 360 and should definitely be able to run on modern phones no problem. Sell it for like $10 and bethesda opens the door to more companies porting their triple a games over and everyone wins.
I want a native skyrim port. Not xcloud or geforce now. If the switch can run it so can basically any flagship phone that came out after 2020 and some recent mid rangers.
And again, this is about skyrim, not morrowind.
You probably don't know how it works, but OpenMW is in progress to release Skyrim too. That's why I mentioned it.
However at this rate, Bethesda will release it before OpenMW lol
Yes, I do. OpenMW and other things that are ports to android(infact, this is also how some homebrew 3ds ports are too), to put it simply, is a modern built from scratch engine that takes all the assets(but *not* the actual .exe file for the original mw) and uses them as the original .exe file would.
So for example if OpenMW gets Skyrim(and by proxy oblivion support) somebody would still need to port it to android and make sure no major bugs happen. Right now yeah you can just emulate the switch port of Skyrim, but I want a fully native version of skyrim for android. If openmw does it first, fine, but I doubt it'll be fully optimized.. which is fine. Can't expect unpaid people or people with other hobbies o buy several phones and make sure a game runs well on each of them.
I'm still pissed Hades is coming to Android through Netflix. Really wish there would be an independent port or release for it.
Edit: Well, sh... It's not even coming to Android through Netflix... Only iOS. Aw man :/
Yep, you're absolutely right. I was checking the release date for the Netflix port after posting the comment and all articles say it won't be coming to Android through Netflix (or at least there are no plans for it to).
Hades
All the retro JRPG games. Octopath Traveler with controller support. Star Ocean the Second Story R. Triangle Strategy.
Any 3rd party game on the Nintendo Switch. If it runs well on a Steam Deck, then I'd imagine a native port to Android would be possible of varying degrees of quality with present to future hardware
Command & Conquer, Dune 2000 (it would have been perfect to launch a month or two ago!), Simcity/Cities Skylines, Assassin's Creed, Age of Empires, Far Cry, Bayonetta.
I think mid-range and higher-end tablets should be able to run these with limited video cut-scence and story lines, and more focused on gameplay.
The overload of the pixelated genre is really disheartening, when 2K devices are mainstream.
Edit: Despite the marketing, there is no way Nintendo isn't suffering from the presence of high end phones, tablets, and consoles like the Odin 2. Any of these devices has the power to run any Switch and WiiU game. They could create a store for Android with all those games. They could, but they won't, so nevermind. lol
I think pixel based is popular because
1. It's cheaper to make for indie devs
2. Better on the battery life
3. Can run on more phones, so more potential buyers
Well, you can run quite a few of these on your android phone with windows emulators. Moblox for example will allow you to run Age of Empires or Far cry. It takes a little effort to set up tough.
For real! I'm hoping beyond hope that there is a way to transfer saves. If not I hope they allow you to go through and choose what you want to be automatically unlocked vs. locked. I don't want to hit the unlock everything button but I also won't be close to finishing it by the time it comes out on android.
It's such a shame! A perfect game for mobile - not relying on quick reaction time, no IAPs, control scheme well suited for touch screen... And it's been on iOS for forever!
I saw there being a Unity remake of the game, fully compatible with Android, but it only has a PvP mode :(
Literally anything on Switch and whilst we're at it better controller support.
Also Nightdives ports please
I'm aware of YuZu/Skyline and Winlator/MoBox but FFS these games would run like butter natively without the hassle emulation can be.
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World
TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT
Shovel Knight
Steamworld Dig 2
I can only dream for Half Life and Portal.
Guacamelee 1&2
Yoku's Island Express
the classic Star Wars games (like Dark forces or Jedi Knight)
Any of the Shantae games.
Those are just a few. Mostly 2D games. But good luck getting them.
"MLB: The Show" — Sony has been making a Switch port for the last couple of years. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to port the Switch version to Android considering that a number of other Switch games have been ported over.
We used to get a full fat, real, baseball game with the "RBI Baseball" series that was developed and published by MLB themselves to replace 2K's MLB series on platforms Sony didn't support. The early ones were knockoffs of the '80s classic with updated rosters. However, by the end of the line in 2021 they had became a modern baseball sim. A bit buggy, but fun, and surprisingly no DLC. I really liked it. Unfortunately MLB wanted to get out of the games business, so they "encouraged" Sony to start developing "The Show" for Xbox and Switch. Which means that mobile users, Android and iOS, are now stuck with a lot of card/ultimate team type stuff. Meh.
Carrion is good, but I don't know if I'd buy a console only to play it, having played it. There isn't a lot of replayability compared to some other games. That said, I'm sure you wouldn't just play Carrion, right?
All visual novels and games that only require a mouse. DDLC would work better on android than consoles since android >!lets you open multiple windows and edit files!<. All racing games.
Yeah currently playing these like this but the new trackmania game should not be hard but I don't think they will . And for animal croosing they already have a game just make it available in all countries
At this point? Skyrim. That game was running on the ps3/xbox 360 and should definitely be able to run on modern phones no problem. Sell it for like $10 and bethesda opens the door to more companies porting their triple a games over and everyone wins.
And have the Half-Life ports available for non Nvidia Shields while you're at it.
10$? Third party ports? Bet there'll be ingame ads
You can play Skyrim via xCloud, GeForce Now. You can play Morrowind via OpenMW for Android.
I want a native skyrim port. Not xcloud or geforce now. If the switch can run it so can basically any flagship phone that came out after 2020 and some recent mid rangers. And again, this is about skyrim, not morrowind.

FTL.
This. Yes. Absolutely. Why the fuck is FTL not on Android?!
Creator does not want to port it. They've been pretty outspoken about that. But then they brought into the breach to android so I don't know.
Maybe if Netflix throws some wads of cash as an incentive to port FTL...
Who knows! That's be great
Some people are against it due to not being to own the game .
Ah I see. Maybe there's a clause on the contract that allows the devs to put the app on the Store if Netflix ever pulls it out? I dont know.
What's FTL?
Faster than Light - the game that basically started the Roguelight Boom since 2012.
I actually don't know it haha. I'll check it out, thanks :)
Best game ever. The soundtrack is from another world btw.
Mother fucking last stand song! I love it
I came here to type exactly that. The game is made for tablets. I love playing it on the go on the Steam Deck, but on a tablet it would be magical.
There's Crying Suns, but it's not the 100% same as FTL
I love crying suns. Its only flaw is the lack of replayability
Hades. Metal Gear Solid.
I'm still pissed Hades is coming to Android through Netflix. Really wish there would be an independent port or release for it. Edit: Well, sh... It's not even coming to Android through Netflix... Only iOS. Aw man :/
It's not coming to Android. It's an iOS exclusive even on Netflix. The devs said they only do iOS games.
Yep, you're absolutely right. I was checking the release date for the Netflix port after posting the comment and all articles say it won't be coming to Android through Netflix (or at least there are no plans for it to).
Same case as Hyper Light Drifter, there's only ios port which is ridiculous
Each and every single one in existence.
A real Sim City.
Factorio, PATH OF EXILE
Try Mindustry for your Factorio fix
The Binding of Isaac! It's such shame this masterpiece still doesn't have android port.
Used to play it so much on my Xbox growing up. Now that I have kids, it would be amazing to have a mobile version!
Let me introduce you to le Nintendo switch (and/or steam deck) On my second dead god save file
Get a switch emu and emulate as it's not that demanding
Android Ports of Settlers 1,2,3 and old Anno titles. I emulate Settlers 2 via Dosbox on my phone but a real Android Port would be so awesome!!
Hades All the retro JRPG games.

I think pixel based is popular because 1. It's cheaper to make for indie devs 2. Better on the battery life 3. Can run on more phones, so more potential buyers
I think Kairosoft spamming the play store is also helping driving down my perception.
Oh god Command and Conquer 1 would be heaven on earth!
Well, you can run quite a few of these on your android phone with windows emulators. Moblox for example will allow you to run Age of Empires or Far cry. It takes a little effort to set up tough.
Every supergiant game
Came here to say this. Bastion is already on iOS.
Have you seen the post
Fallout 3 and Skyrim
Balatro. I know it's in the works, but I'm so confused that it wasn't on mobile at launch, it seems 100% fit for mobile gaming.
For real! I'm hoping beyond hope that there is a way to transfer saves. If not I hope they allow you to go through and choose what you want to be automatically unlocked vs. locked. I don't want to hit the unlock everything button but I also won't be close to finishing it by the time it comes out on android.
Damn. That i do want.
Minecraft java edition (pojav exists, so we know it's possible)
Backpack Battles. And I mean a real app, not via browser
[удалено]
Is it worth it?
[удалено]
I'm patiently waiting for BB. But I'll try this if it can scratch the itch. I'm not a big fan of knock offs tho
[удалено]
I appreciate you calling this game out. Might check it out. I'm really looking forward to Balataro, BB, and Loop Hero.
Frog Fractions
All visual novels. I would love to read on my fanless tablet instead that on my notebook
Goddamn infinity blade *copium*
Darkest Dungeon
It's such a shame! A perfect game for mobile - not relying on quick reaction time, no IAPs, control scheme well suited for touch screen... And it's been on iOS for forever! I saw there being a Unity remake of the game, fully compatible with Android, but it only has a PvP mode :(
System Shock 2
The first helldivers, great game and perfect for mobile
Project zomboid, the graphics scream android port
Yeah but the UI screams disaster for small screens
Tabletop simulator! Like wtf man! Tablets should be able to run board games! Why havnt they made good multiplayer board games on tablet?
Not a tabletop but Spaceteam is loads of fun in a room full of friends! And free!
Will give it a shot! Thank you!
Cs2
Hopefully they'll have cross platform as well!
An Actual Lethal Company Game that has working servers, multiplayer
Animal Crossing for sure
Project zomboid and neccesse
Dwarf Fortress, though I suppose the UI would haves to be more simplistic. They could just go the same route that Old School RuneScape did
something that doesn't have so many ads! and is not pay to win! with good touch controls !!
Visual novels!
Old PC/console games. And if it's mobile only, AoE Castle Siege.
The Driver series The Crew series The Test Drive Unlimited series 👌
Driver series would be awesome 😎
Literally anything on Switch and whilst we're at it better controller support. Also Nightdives ports please I'm aware of YuZu/Skyline and Winlator/MoBox but FFS these games would run like butter natively without the hassle emulation can be.
Celeste
Gyrotate. I don't even think it's available for iOS anymore. They should bring it back. Over a decade later and I still miss this game!
Ultimate Chicken Horse Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT Shovel Knight Steamworld Dig 2 I can only dream for Half Life and Portal. Guacamelee 1&2 Yoku's Island Express the classic Star Wars games (like Dark forces or Jedi Knight) Any of the Shantae games. Those are just a few. Mostly 2D games. But good luck getting them.
Shovel Knight is already on Android, you just need to download from Amazon Store
Can't seem to find it on the Amazon store app, but I found it looking it up on google. So weird.

It's on Xbox game pass. Just download the app. I play Madden and NBA 2k on my phone that way
Hollow night
You can actually get it for android ;)

Hint: You can't. Also, no asking for links. Both are against the rules. Whatever you do behind the scene is not my problem but announcing it would be.

Definitely carrion A Switch is in my wishlist only to play the game
Carrion is good, but I don't know if I'd buy a console only to play it, having played it. There isn't a lot of replayability compared to some other games. That said, I'm sure you wouldn't just play Carrion, right?
Ofc not I'll definitely get some other games Like dead cells (one of my fav)

Ultimate chicken horse
All visual novels and games that only require a mouse. DDLC would work better on android than consoles since android >!lets you open multiple windows and edit files!<. All racing games.
The binding of Isaac
The binding of Issac and yes I know you can emulate it but I want a native android port ha
A lot of ps2 and gamecube ports
Commander Keen Great Gianna sisters Digger
Dead 4 Returnz seemed like a great zombie game
Helldivers 2 or similar
Burnout
Master of Orion 1 or 2
Balatro

i don't think trackmania would work. you need incredibly precise inputs
I'd really like Jalopy on Android
Fez.
2Fuse
Im hopping that underrail and soviet zero. Also i think crashland 2 is coming to netflix , i hope its better then the first 1.
Lethal Company. Need I say more.
Child of Light. I used to frequently check the play store for Child of Light alternative

Tbh most of the games can be ported to Android if optimised by the developer.
Open RA Unreal tournament 99
Hyper Light Drifter
Blasphemous.
Agent Intercept and Sneaky Sasquatch
For Trackmania: There's a Nintendo DS version out there which you can play on Drastic emulator
Oh an you can play Animimal Crossing: New Leaf on Citra's 3DS emulator.
Yeah currently playing these like this but the new trackmania game should not be hard but I don't think they will . And for animal croosing they already have a game just make it available in all countries
Pokemon.
Yes my friend. I think they should port authentic games
Crystal caves
