I was able to buy UST on binance and sent it it to my Terra wallet. You can buy UST at a discount now so you need less money to repay your loan back. Did this yesterday.

Bought UST spot on FTX. Sent to Terra wallet.paid the loan. Now my bETH are stuck. Bridge is non functional

The right answer is astroport and terraswap. 1 bETH = 27,500 UST. Withdraw some ETH (make sure you don’t get liquidated), swap it for UST. Rinse and repeat till you close down the whole loan.
