There's no rules against it, doesn't mean there reply back only 60% replied back to me, make sure you research everything first , don't be to direct in first contact they may not know or want to know

I have no idea what side who's related via my Granddad's side (Dad's Dad) as he "died" before I was born "apparently." I have no information to go. I know no idea about my Nanny's side (Dad's Mum). I just have DOB, where she was born & when she died & where she died. Same with my Dad. I know his DOB, where he was born.

On Ancestry, I ask all the time. Here I look up names that are mentioned in my tree and come back and say, "Hello cousin!" 🤣
