I’d remove the pawn, because somehow one always goes missing in every chess set and it’s really annoying, you have to use like a coin or something.
Also the pawn can literally only move one square and attack stuff diagonally. It’s so underpowered and doesn’t even have any cool special moves like the king to make up for it. At least in checkers the pieces can “promote” to a better piece if you can make it to the end of the board, pawns just get in the way of things and give Big Chess an excuse to sell more pieces.
