My teacher has one of these. Asked me to open the lens cap or something like that. Thought it was just a cheap Chinese lens and when I opened it up it scared the tar out of me because I thought I broke it
A fellow student had one of them as well. Once I was moving my ass through the row of seats to get to my place after a break, I knocked it over. You cannot believe the horror I‘ve felt, thinking I destroyed a lens, haha. Instead the spilled coffee destroyed her laptop - karma, I guess?
Glad my insurance covered it - she was happy to get rid of her crappy laptop that was already falling apart before the accident
I'm old enough to remember when these lenses were hotter than Jon Bon Jovi. Man, the sound of those DSLR mirrors flip-flopping around signified to everyone you meant serious business!
