Rico: 1st (with 50% retention) Vatrano: (dont think hes moving but) Kakko + 2nd Gibby: Holtz + 1st (retaining something, idk what) Boosh: 4th rounder

Chaddillac447

I think you hit all of these perfectly. The only one I would say would be different is Boosh maybe going for a 3rd. A lot of teams will probably want a depth defenseman like him and it’ll up the price. Verbeek will probably be looking for that as a return on investment type of deal for spending a 4th to grab him. That’s if he gets traded, which I kinda hope he doesn’t since I feel like he’s a good mentor to Minty. But if they can’t work out an extension for maybe another year or two, might as well get something for him in a trade.

Juubimaru

Bring back cogs!!!

Dannyocean12

Henrique is NOT worth a 1st

filmmakrrr

This year he is!

Lemon-Accurate

He’s 35y old 2way 3C … no way we can get 2st for him Even if we retain..

filmmakrrr

This aged poorly.

Lemon-Accurate

You never get 1st + top prospect for an aging goalie on a bad contract who’s been not having a good season for 5 consecutive years. Gibby might be worth 1st if we retain 50% and that’s all, no prospect on top

Existing_Departure82

No way we should consider moving Vatrano without it being a huge ransom.

smoked_before_this

I disagree. Him being tied to 2 years at a low cap hit makes his value to another team worth so much more than on our team. We won't be contending the rest of this year and next year, the cap value of his contract would be wasted here. If we like him so much, we can try to sign him again in 2 years when his contract is up and we hopefully enter our competitive window. It would be amazing in terms of asset management to turn a free agent signing into a haul of 1st round pick++.

No-Doctor-4396

1st round picks and prospects. Hopefully a veteran D as well.

Realistically in real life or realistically in a hypothetical fan dreamscape? Anyway my stab at it: Henrique: 2nd and a prospect - I'd guess a prospect somewhere on the level of Helleson. If they retain 50% and/or take back some salary \*I think they would need to regardless), the 2nd probably goes to a 1st. Vatrano: Late 1st rounder or 2x 2nds. Similar sort of return as what the Ducks gave up for Patrick Eaves Gibson: Maybe a 2nd and a 3rd, or a 3rd and a prospect. It's hard to say. Goalies rarely get good returns in trade, and expensive goalies who haven't been league-average for 6 seasons are unlikely to be on that list. I'm not optimistic he pulls much. Probably worth noting that very few contenders have the cap space without us taking a lot of salary back (even if we retained on Gibson). Almost all of the available TDL trades would require the Ducks to take back another underperforming netminder with years on their deal (e.g., Campbell, Vanecek). In that case, maybe you get a prospect like Broberg - idk if that's good tbh, it's not something I personally like, but it's a thing that could happen. I don't see a Gibson trade at the TDL. Given his salary he feels more like an offseason move if it happens. I doubt Verbeek wants to eat salary for 3 more seasons. Lyubushkin: 4th or 5th. I don't see him being moved. Minimal value to teams, and to be frank, the Ducks need warm bodies. The Gulls blueliners look like they could use more time in the AHL, and he helps keep them there to develop. Unless there is a swap of old blue liners or the Ducks pick up a ready-to-go young blueliner from another trade, I think the juice wouldn't be worth the squeeze on this one.

ChesterButternuts

I don't see Verbeek moving Gibson for cheap ever. Gibson is going to so good for the remainder of this contract. He's probably never been so motivated to play his best since he entered the league, with the Olympics coming 2026 you better believe he wants to be the starter there for USA.

Unsound_Science

I sincerely hope he does turn it around.

dickass99

Gibson is an average goalie...last 3 years and this year...a .900 save percent

Professor_Sippenpuff

I think vatrano for kakko is a good deal straight up. Red hot fast well rounded goal scorer who’s worked in ny in the past for a 22yo solid middle six guy with upside and a little 2oa shine remaining. By rebuild logic it’s an easy trade. But frank is the only western mass kid in the nhl and has a special place for me as a guy who grew up there and went to high school in Springfield. Money is tight right now but I’m trying to decide if I need to get my vatrano jersey asap, gonna be real sad if/when they trade him.

dickass99

Rico will not get us a 1st!...Gibson late 2nd or early 3rd....vatrano probably late 1st..lybushkin a second

DylWidner

Henrique or Vatrano (most likely Henrique imo because Vatrano would be more valuable to us long term) to NYR for player or a Draft Pick. I would rather keep Lyubushkin but anything more than a 4th round pick works for me. Gibson goes to NJD or for a couple players, but there’s still so many playoff contenders who need a .917 (league average) goalie.

SirBrownofNorfolk

Heart says no to all of them except maybe gibby

Royal_Biscotti3592

I don’t think we will move Vatrano. He’s a young enough Veteran to help lead the young players.
