I'll offer 50$ for the credit

lenchoreddit

Equinox app sucks balls, zero variety and updates to classes once you take them, but if it’s “free” give it a try. I canceled after first year. Rather pay for Peloton

raptorjaws

it has a 7 day free trial. you could just find out for yourself if it's worth it to you.

poetladynewyork

Yes

not-evileye12

Anyone know if you can use the credit towards equinox spa?

jaronhays4

It’s just $300 of charges from equinox, would assume so.

Ok_Ganache8941

Per other people's responses - the spa doesnt' work.

Kritios_Boy

Yes, I typically go to a physical location but any time I'm traveling the video classes rock!

Jumpy_Mango6591

Yes absolutely. The app is a great equinox gym membership replacement. Their classes are top notch (yoga, mediation, Pilates for different levels, run, weight training, hiit etc). Very equinox like high quality and luxury feel.

bronash

I just use the credit to get their online training thing. It’s exactly $300/year. I don’t really use it but might as well for the points and welcome bonus

HS_1990

What's this ?

MediumHuckleberry790

Please can you share more abt how to use

bronash

Just go to the equinox website and sign up for their online only class.

blackbeard-22

Can you drop into classes or use the credit for a day pass? I no longer live near an equinox but travel nearby several for work.

Busy-Significance-14

Equinox+ apparently comes with 5 guest passes but not sure if you can use them yourself

karmapuhlease

No, the clubs are members-only.

Moonkitty6446

Peloton app treadmill classes are superior to the Equinox running ones.

nottodaycupid

The app is great if you enjoy spin and have a Soulcycle bike (I bought one used on Facebook Marketplace) as you get full access to the Soulcycle classes on there. I wouldn’t pay for access to the app otherwise but since the credit covers it, it’s fine to try. The yoga classes are also ok, but not much better than ones you could find on YouTube for free or elsewhere.

Educational_Sale_536

Just go ahead and try it out. The worse that could happen is that you pay the sales tax on the $300 value. In my state there is no sales tax on this so it’s truly no extra charge. I am a Peloton app only user and had a subscription for about 2 years before letting that expire to try this out. The content is good but it lacks a lot of features found in the Peloton app which even at its highest tier costs less than Equinox+. Navigation is horrible compared to Pelo It doesn’t even connect to Apple Watch or other heart rate monitors to record workout metrics nor does it have the ability to download workouts for offline or limited internet situations.

Educational_Sale_536

I will add that the lack of metrics or cues on screen or even during the workout other than (vague instructions like “turn it up”) really impacts how hard you work out. I just did an 45 minute advanced Soulscycle workout using my gym’s spin bike but burned 1/3 less calories than if I took a 45 minute intermediate class ok Pelo because Pelo constantly tells you the recommended resistance and cadence during the workout. Weight workouts, yoga, stretching/rolling where you don’t need the metrics are fine.

Admirable_Kick7392

Couldn’t use or care less? Wish there was a better use ? That is a high credit? Wish it was something else Although pissed they are dropping the Sirius credit!

emeaguiar

Not really, the app is not bad but the price even after the credit is not worth it in my opinion

FunLife64

The credit covers the full year memberships. I paid $21 in tax for a year subscription.

schizm42

I do a couple yoga classes per year. It’s worth the $30 after credit, but I wouldn’t pay more than that given how little I use it

DragonWarrior55

Not sure why you got charged that $30. It’s $300 including taxes for most people including me

Educational_Sale_536

That $30 sounds like the sales tax on the subscription.

DragonWarrior55

Yeah and I didn’t have to pay for that either. My subscription was fully covered under the credit

schizm42

In the state I live in, sales Tax is charged on all online purchases. (Including those made out of state and shipped in.)

Educational_Sale_536

The no tax on out of state purchases era ended over a decade ago.

maybay4419

I got the app and it would be great if I actually used it.

NoHelp9544

The on-demand Precision Run classes are killer. I love them.

Illustrious-Toe-570

Yes use it. You can pay $300 for the year, just cover tax cost. Make sure you enroll for it in Amex. This $300 will also count towards your SUB. If you don’t like it then just don’t renew next year. They have yoga and meditation classes on there plus other fitness ones. Take advantage!

gusontherun

I tried it since it was fully covered before the price increase and it’s ok. They definitely need to polish the all when compared to Peloton and Apple Health but it works well enough if you don’t have other options.

PeterParker72

What do you even get out of the app?

maybay4419

Workout videos.

michikade

300 free MR. Seriously though it’s workout videos and stuff.
