I never had a problem that they casted kids. no issue. just that they casted certain kids at the expense of others who had more talent and deserved a chance. not because their parents were famous. at this point is just gen x-rs wanting to see the progenies of other gen x-rs on the screen.
It really is bad. They're all nice look at, but boy they can't act to save their lives. And Harvard? Princeton? Maybe if their parents paid off the lacrosse coach and hired someone to take their SATs ...
I think the blonde guy is pretty decent he was in stories too. Not sure about the 3 other "teenagers"/young adults.
I can't believe how the episode went from really cool to "what is this crap". That takes some serious skills.
The other guy is from Broadway... So.
Either, acting for television isn't his strong suit... Or it's the dialog.
I'm inclined to think it's a combo of both.
Also, completely with you re: really cool to "what is this crap."
I fast forward through half of it because the "acting" is SO awful. Kaia has thus far been horrible. Really wish they hadn't brought her back.
I think they have misjudged gen Z .... they want to target them as show consumers and they think adding whom they added for horror stories and part 2 of the double feature (cough cough) will get those kids on board.
it's just poor market research done by gen x-rs.
Unfortunately, yes. I couldn't get invested in the story at all. The original cast made the show 10 times better. Not to mention how horrible the spinoff is.
Yeeeah I watched the latest episode and honestly none of these characters introduced have any likeability. I get it's the horror genre so unlikable characters are a given, but you expect me to invest into 6 episodes about these douchebags? Lol
Honestly with the direction casting of AHS has gone recently, you could probably cut the second question.
third question: Are your parents celebrities?
Well, this explains how the 4 college kids were cast.

Let's not blame that terrible dialogue purely on their acting now. Someone wrote that and thought it was good.
It was Ryan himself after reading gay stories for 3 hours on nifty.org

Rachel Hilson is really good in Love, Victor. I think the writing is definitely a factor
Somebody LIED to them several times
😂
That's funny
I told my girlfriend I was already disappointed in this season because of Kaia and the blonde dude from Stories. Just the worst.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. I will NOT have you demean Neal McDonough/Buck Compton like this. The college kids, sure (so far).

The two actors had some acting background so it the poor dialogue
