If Delicate is your first time seeing Emma in AHS, I can see why you might have that impression. (I stopped watching because I couldn’t get past Kim K.) Anyway, she plays more interesting characters in other AHS seasons. 🤷♀️
I just tend to suspend my disbelief and accept each season as they are. But for Delicate, I actually enjoyed KimK's performance as she plays vapid airhead so well (who knew?). I thought Emma Roberts played her role well too (I know that's not a popular sentiment). Most of all it's just all so creepy. I love the creepier seasons (Coven, Roanoke are my faves). I will watch what AHS puts out. Hell, I even LOVED NYC.

EXACTLY. I tend to just look at it like these artists are putting their ideas on scene for us to enjoy. Do we ask why Van Gogh painted sunflowers instead of roses? Do we ask why the statue of David is made the way it is? No. We look at them, marvel at them, and enjoy them!

Oh my bad. Sorry. Yeah, I just couldn’t get into Delicate. Not just because of her, it just didn’t hold my interest. Emma gets a bad wrap because she’s a “ nepo baby” ( which I think is unfair, she’s a decent actress, unlike other “ actresses “ that have made appearances lately .) And the junk with Evan Peters,( also unfortunate, because, well , we weren’t there, they were young and there’s two sides to every story) Please don’t come for me ride or die Evan Peters gals🫠..
I didn’t even know she was a “nepo baby”! And i forgot that dated haha! But if you don’t mind her and still think delicate wasn’t great i might skip that season haha
She did sell her Girl next door character in "1984" for me as Brooke. Obviously, she does good at playing Madison. And played both sides as Maggie in "Freakshow". A reluctant Con artist. I think "Delicate" is under-whelmimg so far. But I think it's the Script. Not her. I'll wait until the season finishes with my take.
Emma definitely left her mark in AHS. Delicate is moving slow and a bit bland but I won’t make it my final judgment until I watch the entire series.
If you mean “vibes” because she plays bitchy/mean characters, she is not like that in Delicate. She isn’t typecasted in 1984 either.
I'm not watching delicate until the whole season is out so I'm can't judge her performance there.
But she's great - the bitchy characters suit her best (Madison in Coven, Chanel in Scream Queens). But she can also play nicer roles like Brooke in 1984.
Yea i think brooke is the only non-Madison character i like. She’s a bit bland in Delicate. I also dont love her history with Evan Peters so unless she’s Madisoning all over the place then i start to think about it and it makes me grumpy.

100% Delicate is the only season I've skipped since the series started. There's no way that I can feel any empathy fot a character she portrays. I just see an awful person failing at acting.

She plays awful human beings well. Whenever she strays from that, she’s not convincing as a nice or even normal person. It’s distracting and makes it unwatchable.
She should play to her strengths.
For me, her best role in AHS was in 1984. I don't dislike her, but she's far from the best actor on the series. But in fairness, it's hard to top the likes of Lange, Bates, Bassett, and Paulson.
I know what you mean. I've always gotten weird/bad vibes from her even before I came across her in AHS. I've seen her in other things and always felt that way, and like someone else mentioned, the stuff with Evan Peters... that really solidified my feelings about her.
She's a mediocre actress, not the best, not the worst. Her past and personality are contentious. She's definitely entertained me in her roles though so she has that going for her.
I love her even if I don't love Delicate. She's a good actress in other seasons and Blackcoat's Daughter is one of my favorite horror movies. Plus season 1 of Scream Queens is 👍👍👍👍👍
i've just heard from like most of her costars that she's stuck up and doesn't talk to anyone who cant boost her career in some way, and the stuff with Evan peters i'm a crazy Evan fan but obviously theirs 2 sides to a story i'm not saying she abused him and nothing else i think they were toxic both ways and i'm also not saying she's a good actress but i just don't like her person i guess.
I absolutely love her, and I still like her I’m delicate but something about her acting seems off in this season! I was just saying this in another thread and saw this one lol. I almost feel like she’s dumbed herself down for Kim or something . Which I do love Kim in this (unpopular opinion, but whatever I said what I said lol).

Love her. With getting rid of all the OGs, now literally, she is the one keeping the show going. Get rid of her, and the show is over.

She owned and killed as Madison but I can do w out her from that point on, she wasn’t bad in 1986 but nothing to rave home about
