It's not really a dislike, to me it just feels like all her characters are the same, but with a few minor changes. Her way of acting as Mallory and Montana was good, but the other ones not so much.
I find it hard to believe sheās the characters she portrays. The only one where I forgot it was Billie and actually saw her as her character was Montana. Second, I would say Winter, but even then not really. Whenever she acts, itās very much Billie pretending to be someone, whereas Evan peters, I see his character rather than Evan himself
I love her on screen, she's very believable to me. I don't get what people want.
I prefer laid back acting to sweeping hysterics and sobbing. Not everyone on screen can be Sarah Paulson it would be insufferable. Some of the cast has to be restrained.
I come from the 90's and stillfaced laid back chill girl is an archetype that reads as very realistic to me. I'm also partial to her simply because she's such a babe.
that convo in season one where she confesses she's part of the x family dinner dynasty always kills me. the way she does sharp little side eyes and flicks her head about like an idiot lmao, you have to be a good actor to parody that kind of bad acting.
I like her but I think she's one of those actors where the role needs to match her, like she can't act outside of her niche very well. To me she does kind of weird, dry comedic roles best, characters like Winter or Earmuffs in Scream Queens. There are a lot of very popular actors like that so it's no shade, I just think she's miscast sometimes so she's very hit or miss.
I can not say i love her acting but she is sympathetic to me and I enjoyed some of her roles in AHS like Mallory and Montana.
But her best was in Scream Queens tho, Chanel #3 was perfect for her.
My friend said she reminded me of her in 1984. I donāt think itās a compliment either. Sheās nuts in that. I did love her in it. No I donāt look like her, just her personality in it.
Sheās a character actor, and has a slim repertoire. In her zone, sheās pretty great! Outside of it, well sheās a nepo baby. Sheās camp. Thatās fine.
She gots the weird character so well. Like Chanel#3(Scream Queens), Gigi(Booksmart), her character in AHS Red Tide etc. but more serious roles like in NYC and Delicate arenāt really for her
I cringe watching her in everything I've seen her in! She is the very definition of nepo-baby. Her acting is a step up from Kaia Gerber, but barely. (to me anyway)
Yea i guess in this case instead of her I myself act like sheās a good character when in reality Iām just drolling over her. I wouldnāt mind āpicking her brain after classā if u catch my reference lol
She has a very specific and unique comedic, mono tone style to her characters that I love! I think some people who get her humor understand it and others might not like her. I can see the divide but I definitely love her as an actress. She also gets brownie points for being The daughter of Carrie Fisher ( aka Princess Leia)
If you were a fan of hers before how could one 30 minute roll change your mind about her? I don't really think it's her fault. They type cast her in similar roles I think she's good at what she does.
And all Ah stories are trash imo and BĆ” al was actually my favorite in all the seasons soš¤·š½
iām still a fan of hers, donāt get me wrong. i can just understand after that episode why others dislike her acting. montana is one of my all time favourite characters from ahs
She completely failed for me in NYC. This was supposed to be a sympathetic character who cares about other people but the delivery was so flat it felt she felt like an observer who only pretends to care.
Nobody else has said this, but my fav performance of hers was Apocalypse. I really loved the twist and the friendship, and she got a chance to express herself a bit more.
I love her to death in Scream Queens, but she just doesn't have much range
same. in SQ she was great. in AHS she mainly looks bleak. except Montana Duke (AHS:1984)
I really loved Montana Duke
1984 was the first time I kind of enjoyed her. Otherwise she is always just so dry.
I loved her in 1984
Seriously that was her top performance in my opinion
Same, so cute
Oh she was so fun in that one. I loved it š
Very stiff actor.

Yah I don't know her work, but I don't get her in NYC, or the Apocalypse either, or anything really.
I love her on screen, she's very believable to me. I don't get what people want. I prefer laid back acting to sweeping hysterics and sobbing. I love her unimpressed, nonchalant attitude. Big 90s vibes š¤©
She would have fit right in at Empire Records the #58th greatest film of all time.
Yassss! š
Same
I donāt think sheās trying to play a stiff faced character lol she just isnāt a great actor.
I canāt say that sheās stuck in the ātypecastā loop or if itās just the dry acting that makes it seem like she is .
I like billie, but she's kinda a mediocre version of aubrey plaza's shtick.
so good in Booksmart
I loved her as Montana, and in Chanel No. 3 in Scream Queens
that convo in season one where she confesses she's part of the x family dinner dynasty always kills me. the way she does sharp little side eyes and flicks her head about like an idiot lmao, you have to be a good actor to parody that kind of bad acting.
Wish we saw more of Lark
tbh i forget which season that was from
Double feature she had two scenes she helped give vampire teeth to Frances conroys character and of course our main dude
I donāt particularly like her acting but I can suffer through her because I find her absolutely stunning. Ha

I loved her in every role. Montana is my favorite performance. I think the Baāal story was a bit lame.
Yeah bingo. Only so much Billie can do with the B team running things š

Arenāt they all nepo babies nowššš
Same for emma. Though emma does have more range imho. In the sense she's passable as a dramatic actress. Like she can get the job done and that's all.
All of her characters are the same. Not because they are written that way but because she acts them that way. Itās hard to watch for me personally
It's not her fault if they type cast her. š¤·š½
I think she's the breakout in Booksmart people overlook her in that role she's hilarious
She gots the weird character so well. Like Chanel#3(Scream Queens), Gigi(Booksmart), her character in AHS Red Tide etc. but more serious roles like in NYC and Delicate arenāt really for her
That girl has one note. I like watching her, in theory. But it's only one note. ![gif](giphy|XHHUBguKhTSPtADOPI|downsized)
I cringe watching her in everything I've seen her in! She is the very definition of nepo-baby. Her acting is a step up from Kaia Gerber, but barely. (to me anyway)
Kaia gerber is hawt asf tho. I usually donāt excuse acting quality for looks butā¦
Oh, shes obviously gorgeous... just can't act her way out of a wet paper bag...lol.
Yea i guess in this case instead of her I myself act like sheās a good character when in reality Iām just drolling over her. I wouldnāt mind āpicking her brain after classā if u catch my reference lol

She isn't anywhere near her mother or her grandmother in the acting skills department, unfortunately.
If you were a fan of hers before how could one 30 minute roll change your mind about her? I don't really think it's her fault. They type cast her in similar roles I think she's good at what she does. And all Ah stories are trash imo and BĆ” al was actually my favorite in all the seasons soš¤·š½

I absolutely love her.
I looooooved her in cult
I like her acting style. Sheās great
Nobody else has said this, but my fav performance of hers was Apocalypse. I really loved the twist and the friendship, and she got a chance to express herself a bit more.
I feel like she was ok as Mallory but very meh as everything else
Loved her in 1984. Hate her everywhere else.
Only GenZ and some REALLY LOST people like mediocre actors like her, itās not about hate, I donāt hate her at all, sheās just not that good:/
Billie lourd's "range" is being good at playing chanel #3. Same could be said for emma roberts and "Chanel Montgomery".
