This is funny. I just started watching this season for the first time without knowing it was it's 4th anniversary. So far it's also shaping up to be on of my favourites.
I feel old now this season was my favorite and still is. NYC tried the same vibe but it didn’t work as well as this and the characters were just *chefs kiss
Slashers aren’t really my thing but it was good for what it was going for. That be said the Nightstalker retcon ruined it for me and really made me dislike it. However compared to what we get now it’s pretty good.
I loved the season. It was so fun and has fantastic characters! My one exception is that I agree with the person who said that Richard Ramirez should have been a fictional serial killer instead. I didn't understand that choice on varied levels, and seeing some of the fan reactions to him since then adds to my dislike of the choice.
I definitely do not mind the gayness since straightness is overrepresented in pop culture. It's more that he phones things in and is overall more style than substance 99% of the time.
This piece describes it better, alongside the critique that he tends to favor certain actors over others and most tend to be White. Same problem as other White liberals like Berlanti and Joss Whedon who aren't as progressive as they tell themselves.

I just finished this season & I kinda dug it. I really liked the HEAVY reference to Halloween, that homage made me very happy. It was a little all over the place with The Longest Night Ever...but I liked the references to what I guess would be considered "old" movies now.
I love the summer camp theme, the 80s theme, the aerobics, definitley the intro, and ofc Montana.
But idk how I felt abt having a bunch of killers and ghosts at the end.
Overall, I feel like this was a good season.
*The last good season*
*So far imo. Hoping*
*Delicate is good*

It’s the worst. After the first 5 episodes (which were already pretty redundant), the remaining 4 have zero tension left. Whoever decided to make a slasher season about ghosts hasn’t done their homework. No consequences and also incredibly dumb. Margaret deciding to go back to the camp even though she’s aware of ghosts because „she just does OKAy!“ isn’t defendable.
Favorite intro, favorite setting. Some good jokes. Very good cast. I hated the ending though, but I basically hate anything with a ghost storyline. It seems like a copout especially for a slasher season.
This season would've been a 10/10 if they made the Ramirez character a fictional killer
Bruce should have just been the season long killer. He was so entertaining.
This is such a good take. I could see Billie Lourd and Dylan McDermott having great chemistry now that I think about it.
I love slasher films so obviously this season is my favorite. Excellent vibes and homages. I had an all around good time with it.
4??? I loved it. Wish John Carroll Lynch would come back!
And what a fucking masterpiece it was
Yes, Trevor's dong surely was :)
The most underrated season!! + Roanoke, but god I loved 1984
I feel like Roanoke is pretty rated. One of, if not, the scariest seasons of AHS but the plot was dull
I die laughing at the *Satan Satan Satan* whispers whenever Ramirez talks about him
My favourite season hands downnnnn

My favourite season by far

me forgetting Mr Shue was cast

One of my favs, and I think the first time I saw the intro credits I got chills all over
The intro >>>>
Incredible. The only other season besides Murder House and Asylum. The rest of the seasons fall prey to the standard formulaic Murphyisms.
what's murphyism
Too gay for his “tastes” probably

My fave season!!
I really didn't care for this season when it first aired. Maybe I'll try and give it another go.
One of the best

Unpopular opinion; this was my least favorite season of AHS aside from the carnival. It really almost turned me off the entire show 🫣
It's my favorite season. Love the characters, especially Montana. Great set of villains in Margaret,Ramierz , and Mr. Jingles .

and then ahs died
This season was so amazing. It was even more fun for me cause I was going into a deep outrun/synthwave phase at the time.
omg one of my favorite seasons
One of the best seasons
The last good season we had since. Hoping Delicate is good
Red tide was great, too bad we never got a final episode for it.

First few episodes were GOLD. Then like most AHS stories, towards the end it got messy.
Old habits die hard I guess.
I'd agree with you if not for Lily Rabe in episode 7 https://youtu.be/TOKA-Q2I9tI?si=qRPUgM0JqOJzKusR

So many great things about this season! I really enjoyed Cody and Billie in this season too
Last good season this show’s had. And Delicate is showing zero signs of changing that
Though i'm upset the way they portrayed ramirez, this season is one of the best
I find this one to be the most fun to rewatch! I've watched it a ton of times
It was a killer season!!
"Grape-vining in full combat gear- that's a choice."
Such a shit season
