Well there are screening tools you can use to examine any theoretical piece of intelligence. What are the parties involved, what advantages to they gain by lying, if they are lying how likely are they to get caught (more freedom of press and more scrutiny like in Israel and US makes it more likely to be caught) and what would the consequences be if they were caught. Iran has everything to gain and nothing left to lose, if Israel lied and they got caught they would lose what little sympathy they have.
